The burns on Veil's entire body visibly healed when she sheathed her new weapon.

It has a healing property due to the Blackfrost's effect.

It was still the middle of nighttime, to avoid causing a commotion on the sudden disappearance of the snow in the city; she lightly slashed towards the city with the Rosalia.

Swing! Vuoosh.

Cold wind washed over the city to make it seem how it usually was, however, when the hot season arrives, the citizens would be surprised.

After fixing the state of the city, she brought Verglas' body on the temple and filled the entire cavern with ice.

Now, it will not be accessible by anyone anymore, it will also not shift up to the ground ever again.

Weismann arrived back to the scene when he met up with the Adventurers and knights who escaped earlier; however, the signs of battle are no more.

When everyone was investigating the field, Veil returned from the cavern.

"I buried the remains of the Blackfrost King to his temple." Veil informed Weismann and their allies.

"Wh-what happened here? How did you make it out alive?" Weismann inquired anxiously.

"I was able to steal the weapon from him without him noticing and from there, I delivered the finishing blow." Veil answered truthfully while resting her wrist on the sword.

"You can wield the weapon?!" Almost everyone spoke at the same moment due to the shock.

"Mhm." Veil smiled awkwardly from the reactions.

"Very well, with this, I shall announce your victory of the competition. However, for the sake of the fallen warriors, we will do the deed on the capital, where the King himself will reward you with the Spiritform." Weismann explained after recovering from shock.

After the Adventurers returned to their various home cities, Weismann and the knights travelled with Veil to the capital, Strale.

Strale is on par with the capital of Duran's size; however its home continent is bigger.

The continent is known as Blacnard, which is bigger than Arnelia.

Blacnard is on the North of Arnelia, which has colder areas; due to this, the Adventurers here are fond of the cool weather.

Upon reaching Strale city, Weismann and his entourage was warmly welcomed by the citizens and knights.

However, Weismann and the knights accompanying him could not smile back warmly; they are currently transporting the fallen Adventurers and knights who reside here in Strale.

They would not be able to face the families of the fallen.

Shortly after, they reached the castle of the King, which is a hundred meters from the ground.

Different towers surrounded the main castle, maximizing its protection.

Weismann provided more important details to Veil, such as the King's name Lanburg Crownwell.

"!!!"

When Veil heard of the word Crownwell, she was reminded of Ara, who has told her of what happened in the incident; after all, she was one of the few survivors.

Upon seeing Veil's complexion, Weismann spoke again, "It seems to be that you are familiar with the Crownwell."

"Mhm, not the King's family, but the actual incident only." Veil answered unhurriedly.

"You see, the King was a descendant of the survivors there, who owns the city. Hundreds of years ago, when the incident happened, some of the survivors migrated."

"Now, they have expanded their family as big as their original one, now, they lead the Strale into flourishment." Weismann added.

Veil only listened quietly as they finally reached the door to the throne room.

Thud.

The doors were opened by the knights letting Weismann and Veil walk through.

"Greetings, my King. I have returned from the massive competition for the Spiritform, but you… you see…" Weismann could not finish his report before falling silent.

Seeing the grief on Weismann and the knights' eyes, the King spoke: "You Adventurer, tell me what happened, the look in your eyes are different."

He instantly detected the emotions of the eyes of his visitors, truly an extraordinary insight for a city's leader.

"Esteemed King, I go by the name Runa. In an unfortunate twist of events, we have been ambushed by the true owner of the sword in the challenge. In order to repel the said enemy, the valiant warriors lost their lives in the bitter battle. Without Sir Weismann here, we would not have emerged alive." Veil explained in great detail, however, she made Weismann take the credit, instead of her.

Weismann could only turn to look at Veil; he would not be able to cut in through the conversation with the King.

"Hngg, but then why do you have the sword with you?" Lanburg scanned the female Adventurer.

"I found out in the midst of the competition that I could pull out the sword, however, as my instincts were telling me, I did not pull out the sword fully. It then turned out that the last Adventurer was the enemy in disguise." Veil explained.

The King did not reply immediately, instead he grabbed the dual longswords sheathed on the armrests of his throne and disappeared.

Blink! Vuoom!

"King!" Weismann stretched his hand forward as he attempted to stop the King.

Dang! Shikikikik.

Three swords collided; Veil blocked the King's two swords with her own sword, however, noticing that the edges of his swords are slowly freezing, he stepped away.

Veil smiled before sheathing Rosalia, while the King inspected the flowing layers of frost on both his weapons.

"Truly instinctive." Lanburg then ignited his swords with his hands as they glow to melt the freezing edges.

Drip drip.

The ice soon melted and turned into liquid that flowed on the floor, he then sheathed his swords back on the throne.

Weismann wipes his sweat off his forehead due to the anxiety, his King is truly careless.

Veil responded with silence as she met the eyes of the King.

"I deem you worthy to receive the Spiritform. Well done!" Lanburg applauds and nodded on his guard.

The guard then obtained a crystalline box containing the strands of Spiritform, which will be used on Veil's magic circuits to give her the potential to evolve into a Hero.

Lanburg received the box from the guard and gently opened the top cover, when he did so, massive amounts of pure mana leaked out.

"From today onwards, you will now gain an ability to reach the realms of the Heroes and authority to visit other continents without being bound by rules. How much you improve is up to your resolve." Lanburg informed in a slightly expectant voice.

"I will not disappoint you." Veil nodded and smiled.

Lanburg then manipulated the visible strands of the Spiritform and lifted it out of the box; Veil then opened her hands to absorb the flowing energy of the Spiritform.

Shururururuk~

After a short while, all the Spiritform strands in the box seeped through Veil's fingertips as she instantly felt renewed.

It has been forever since she last felt this sensation from mana; it feels like she even regained a fraction of her past life's powers.

With this, she can now visit Arnelia and investigate the changes there.

After a few more exchange of words and reports, the King himself personally visited the now grieving family of the fallen warriors.

He informed all of them of their family's valiant battle, that they bravely stopped a catastrophic threat level enemy from potentially destroying an entire city.

[…]

When Veil departed from the city, Lanburg watches her back with determination. 'I shall fight you someday.' He thought to himself.

Veil did not travel with a train that directly reaches the cities of Arnelia; instead, she travelled by foot.

This way, she could both train her mind and body, and also, patrol her route for potential dungeons.

After running and resting for almost an entire month, she reached Yrobound, the city in the borders of Arnelia and Blacnard.

Yrobound serves as the connector of the two continents, after all, under the jurisdiction of the city is a massive bridge connecting the continents, spanning over an entire sea.

Without riding a train or flying ships, one would simply be unable to cross the two continents; this is because various energies from the sea disrupt the ability to fly with mana.

As for winged creatures, they might die of exhaustion first before crossing over.

Veil arrived on the city hall, where she must first get an authorization mark before being permitted to cross the border.

While the female staff on the counter prepares the necessary magic stamp and various documents, a commotion happened outside.

"A massive dungeon gate appeared in the middle of the city!!!" A man shouted in the entrance of the city hall before running away towards the Adventurer hall.

Veil immediately ran towards the dungeon without waiting for the staff to finish the procedures.

Swoosh!

Upon reaching the massive gate, an ominous feeling wrapped the hearts of the responding Adventurers.

Even in their experience of dungeon diving, they have never seen a gate this big.

Looming over the tallest building in the city, the 50-meter gate has dark flames dancing on the runes engraved in the gate.

The Adventurers gulped down dry saliva, they would not wait until the potential enemies inside to amass more power; however, they are greatly frightened to even take the initiative to strike either.

Everyone was frozen in place, except only one person, Veil made her move towards the massive gate and pushed open the doors.

Thud! Wanggggg.

The doors colliding slightly within the ground made vibrations, before closing again.

One of the Adventurers felt her knees go weak as she watches the single fellow Adventurer enter the eerie gate, when none of them could.

The female staff who attempted to chase Veil similarly watched in a daze; one moment, she has a customer to accommodate to cross the borders, the next moment, the same customer is now dungeon diving a colossal gate.

[…]

Veil arrived within the massive open space dungeon; this is because of her extreme curiosity of what dungeons look like.

After all, this is her first dungeon after returning to Terra.

She surveyed the surroundings to gain a clue at the least on what types of enemies will she be facing.

Even after spending about an hour wandering about, she has not discovered any trace of enemies; instead, she saw a different type of civilization.

Instead of infrastructures made out of bricks, this particular civilization has solidified sand as their walls and pillars supporting the various buildings.

Houses, shops and even what looks like the city hall is made out of sand.

She entered the sand city; there she met an old woman with pure white hair.

"May I know what place is this? Why is it inside a dungeon?" Veil inquired.

"Young lady, this is the city of Shurana and no, I was informed that this is not a dungeon. Our great leader known as the Primordial is migrating our entire city into your world." The old woman explained.

Realization dawned on Veil; it was most likely that the humans now are unaware of gates that are created from another realm connecting to their world, which are fundamentally different from dungeon gates.

In their perspective, the gate is a dungeon full of enemies, however, for Veil who has lived in her old body tens of decades ago, are aware of the difference.

"I understand, but how can I meet the Primordial? I have something to inform of him." Veil asked.

"Come this way." The old woman gestured towards the city hall.

Upon reaching the city hall, they did not enter the doors; instead, the floor they are standing in is a floating platform that led them into an underground space.

Thud.

After the two landed, the floating platform closed the entrance shut.

Another door welcomed them, the old woman then gently touched the crystal embedded on the right side of the door.

The doors parted, showing way into a spacious throne room with thousands of swords stabbed on the ground and on the walls.

"Welcome to my humble room! I am the previous God of War, the Primordial Darthoxis!"

Imagine Darthoxis' design as a big muscle man with long hair, but he is cool and chill.
