666-Year Plan

The sole remnant of the Dark Clowns is the youngest member of their alliance called Demise's Grip.

Dark Clowns are the personification of every existence's negative emotions, which would make them the biggest source of Dark Soul Fragments that Veil absorbs in her past life.

Dark Soul Fragments appear from a person's heart when they are filled with extremely negative emotions, but also from evil forces.

Being the result of the darkest side of all existences, Dark Clowns do not actually have shapes; their leader just chose them to appear like clowns.

When Dark Clowns die, their powers just get transferred onto another Dark Clown present, growing them exponentially powerful.

This is why the sole remnant which was also the last one to join the Demise's Grip, could be able to grow as one of the most powerful existence, they absorbed all the Dark Clowns who perished on the Ancient War.

After the Ancient War concluded, the remnant named Kafka disappeared, their original power absorbed from the other Dark Clowns were spread throughout the world and locked into World Crystals.

The Dark Clown Kafka never showed up anywhere, making the Gods think they are just being elusive and being disruptive somewhere in the planet.

But in reality, Kafka was just lying down low, waiting for the perfect moment to start a new grand plan.

It was then that Kafka brewed an idea to start counting 666 years until they start the move.

Coincidentally, Kafka's reemergence to Terra sent curses to a child born on Cilis, whose mother is named Vie'yan.

Veil was never a cursed child to begin with; she just also coincidentally received the powers from the Noir, which contains power of the darkness.

Since then, Kafka only investigated initially, until they started instigating small fights with resulting deaths.

The fallen people were turned into Kafka's own puppets; however, they hit the limit of their powers.

With this, Kafka stopped making their puppets and searched first for the World Crystals locking their remaining powers.

More than a decade later, Kafka is now only missing 2 World Crystals, which one is inside the Middle Realm.

Kafka instantly killed the guardian Cerberus harvesting power from their World Crystal, but then proceeded to absorb their original power after being satisfied from the torn flesh of the Cerberus.

An unexpected variable came up; there was a witness on them absorbing a World Crystal, which should not be known by anyone or anything.

Kafka unknowingly charged instantly to knock down the witness to immediately return to absorbing the World Crystal, however, the bigger problem was that they will not be able to continue the absorption process.

The witness they knocked out then was the one who absorbed the World Crystal, which caused them to avoid killing that witness.

That witness was Veil when she was adventuring inside a cave in the Middle Realm on her mission to strike the Gaia lord.

Kafka avoided killing Veil because they still need the powers, but Veil soon grew qualitatively stronger sufficient enough to put a dent on their plans and become a huge thorn.

Kafka then made various ways to deal with Veil, including the most brutal: erasing her existence from everyone's minds.

Unbeknownst to Kafka, Veil has been reincarnated into a bigger thorn now carrying the fragments of the Ruined Blade, Umbral Reaver.

The origins of the race Noctua is unknown even to Gods, but the Demise's Grip knew, because the Noctua is a race born out of their powers.

Noctua has been made to wield the power of the darkness and everything related to it, shadows, death, dark mana and anything that would give them strength to achieve their goals.

Nightshade, who endured the evil deeds of her fellowmen, warily watched the actions of the Demise's Grip and the Dark Clowns.

She acted like she was working for them diligently, thus, granting her unbelievable amounts of power.

She secretly converted her dark mana into different ones: fire, aqua, earth, wind, on the process, she even made solar and lunar types.

One day, she feels like the Demise's Grip is losing patience and wants the Noctua to start a massive war.

Before the fateful night arrived, she used every single bit of her powers to make a sword capable of destroying the Dark Clowns, the members of Demise's Grip.

She personally crafted this black blade brimming with all types of mana boosted with additional types.

Umbral Reaver, the complete black blade capable of ending all the darkness in the world, was later discovered by one of the Dark Clowns, Kafka.

As Nightshade's punishment, she was turned into a spirit incapable of joining the Ancient War.

Fortunately, she could still gather mana in her spirit body, which she slowly used to make the blade spirits: the soul of the fallen Noctuas.

Later on, they compiled the story of the Noctua into the Noir, which has fallen onto Ara's hands.

However, contrary to Nightshade's expectations, the recipient was not able to receive the guidance in the Noir, so she frustratingly let the blade spirits watch over the Noir.

Nightshade searched for the Umbral Reaver confiscated by Kafka, but she discovered that it was broken down.

She used her remaining power to devour the main body of the broken sword, which is the handle.

She escaped without doing anything to the broken pieces of her sword so that she could avoid Kafka's suspicions.

The blade spirits successfully nourished the recipient of the Noir, the girl named Veil; she learned the way of the sword and wielded the power of darkness through the form of shadows.

Nightshade grew in power through Veil's growth, thus, during the hard time of Veil's life, she chose to sacrifice her spirit body to manifest into the sword handle she devoured.

She just prayed that Veil would be able to find the other fragments before Kafka discovers the potential of the fragments.

Thankfully, it was only after hundreds of years in Kafka's plan did they find out the fragments are being collected by a human.

Now, after a long time has passed, Nightshade's sword form was suddenly reawaken, but by a totally different creature.

Instead of Veil, the handle of the Umbral Reaver was picked up by Armon, who Kafka tasked to visit the Underworld Zekerion to search for a broken blade.

Armon returned to the surface to inform Kafka of the discovery.

"Perfection! Wield it on your heart's content and start the massacre!" Kafka flashed an evil grin with satisfaction.

The day Armon returned to the surface marks the 666th year of waiting for Kafka's plan.

With this, Armon led an entire army of puppets to start the war, the biggest war to ever happen on the land of Terra.

Hundreds of thousands of gates simultaneously appeared all over the skies of Terra, sparking the start of the war.

Veil and Sylphy was still walking in the forest until they spotted more than 50 gates above them.

Falling from the skies are humanoid monsters with massive claws with multiple limbs, while also dotting on the skies are flying monsters with gigantic needles as their limbs.

Veil and Sylphy sprang into action; they instinctively realized that there is no chain of commands within the army of the enemy.

Veil on the ground, Sylphy on the sky; the ground hardened like a diamond while the entire sky of the forest gets enveloped with an invisible barrier.

Veil unsheathed the Rosalia and started madly attacking the monster army; she did not stop hacking their bodies until they are chopped up to multiple pieces.

She did so after finding out that the dead monsters are being devoured by the other monsters.

Slash! Splat! Swing! Boom! Thrust thrust thrust~

Meanwhile, Sylphy's barrier massacred every single flying monster that enters within range.

Just a stroke of her hand will cause the entire barrier to pulsate an invisible attack that will reflect Sylphy's action with more lethal force.

Shook! Shook! Shook!!

Sylphy then summoned a long wooden stick with a semi-pointy tip, her preferred weapon.

She flew around to come to the enemy instead of waiting for them to enter her range.

With this, the entire forest was shaking visibly, aerial and ground vibrations could be felt every second or so that passes.

After about half an hour, Veil and Sylphy already wiped out every single monster from the gate, they then split up towards other cities to help.

When Veil arrived on a nearby city, she saw the entire city flattened, various corpses filled the streets.

She was speechless, if this is the state of this one city, how about the others?
