Ambush

Creed's POV

The thugs began to fire at all of us but we stayed close to the parapet.

"Go go go!" I yelled, "Get to safety!"

Ethan ran and rammed through a door.

"In here!" yelled Ethan

"2B turn off the lights they're aiming for Pod!" I yelled

"Pod turn off the lights!" yelled 2B

"Covering fire!" I yelled

I began firing back at the thugs, not knowing if I'm hitting my shots. 2B ran and grabbed me and helped me run to the room. Josiah grabbed Evan and they ran into the room as well.

"Close it!" yelled 2B

Evan closed the door and I looked around.

"Shit we're trapped." I groaned

One of the androids looked at the window but he was shot in the chest.

"Stay away from the windows!" I yelled, "Help him!"

Gunshots broke through the door and most of us began to fire back at the door. I looked around for an escape route but there was nowhere to go.

'Come on, think.'

"Creed let's go down!" yelled 2B

She switched to her heavy weapon and smashed the floor making a hole.

"Everyone go down!" yelled 2B

"Go go!" I yelled

I was just about to leave when I saw a small hydrogen tank on the sink.

"Josiah help me move the fridge!" I yelled

I grabbed the tank and put it into the fridge.

"Push it towards the door!" I yelled

We both grunted and pushed it towards the door and used it as a shield, blocking the bullets coming from the other side of the door. I pulled out a grenade and pulled the pin then threw it into the fridge and closed the door.

"Turn it!" I yelled

Josiah helped me turn the fridge so that the door of the fridge was facing the door.

"Jump!" I yelled

The two of us ran and jumped down the hole just as the grenade exploded inside the fridge with the tank creating a big explosion.

"Creed, come on!" yelled 2B

We ran out of the room back into the center and into the staircase. We went down to the 5th floor but 2B left the staircase.

"Wait 2B that's the-"

I was getting shot at from up the staircase, cutting me off from 2B.

"Creed!" yelled 2B

"Meet me on the second floor!" I yelled

Josiah and I ran down the flight of stairs.

2B's POV

I ran through the hallways when I got to this door but it was locked.

"Shit." I groaned

"Incoming enemies from behind." said Pod 042

I turned around and saw about 8 thugs run around the corner at the end of the hallway.

"Pod... find Creed." I said

"That is not-"

"Shut up and do as I say." I said

"Understood ma'am." said Pod 042

I kicked open the door for Pod 042.

"Good luck ma'am." he said before flying off

I summoned my sword and turned around and looked at the men.

"I'll annihilate all of you." I growled

The men yelled and ran towards me. I ran towards them and began killing each and every one of them. Blood splattered everywhere and screams filled the hallway.

I kicked one of the thugs through the door and ducked under a machete and sliced another thug's legs off before beheading him. I got to the last thug but he blocked my sword and kicked me.

'This thug... he isn't any ordinary thug...'

"A YoRHa android. Interesting." said the thug

"I've killed many androids like you. So this would be a piece of cake." I said

I swung my sword and we began trading blows. He dodged my swings and jumped off the wall and kicked my stomach. I backed up a bit but he ran up to me and slid across the floor and using his legs, did a scissor kick and flipped me. I fell on the floor but I did a kick up and began to rapidly punch the man. I fist palmed his chest and kicked his knee and then hit his neck.

He choked a bit but grabbed my arms and head butt me in the face. I punched his face but he ducked under it so I elbowed his face with the same arm when he got back up. He stumbled back so I ran up to him and spun around him and grabbed his waist, lifted him up, and slammed him onto the ground.

I got on top of him and tried to punch him but he was able to flip me over. He got on top of me but I quickly put him in a triangle choke. The thug stood up and slammed me so hard onto the ground, forcing me to let go. I kicked him away and did a kick up and I backed up but he grabbed my shoulders and jumped against the wall and landed behind me. Then he put me in a headlock and began to choke me.

"You're a really beautiful one. I can't wait to use you for myself." said the thug

"Fucking... disgusting..." I groaned as I was losing air.

"Shhh, go to sleep now." said the thug

I tried to pry myself free but I was losing air and my grip was loosening.

"You'll enjoy what I have for you." he said before I blacked out

Creed's POV

"Come on Evan!" I groaned

I helped him up and put his arm around my shoulders. I was separated from everyone else and there was no other way out except for going through the hallway.

"Leave me..." groaned Evan

"That's the last thing I'm going to do." I said

I heard the door behind me open and when I turned around a thug holding a machete came out of the room. I shot my pistol killing him but more began to come out of their rooms. Evan shot one while I shot the others but one came up from behind and tried to stab me but I dodged it and kicked him away then Evan shot him in the head.

"Evan, stay here." I said as I quickly put him down

I began shooting the other thugs while Evan shot the ones behind me.

"The ones behind you are all dead!" yelled Evan

I ran out of bullets so I tried to quickly reload but one of the thugs swung his machete knocking my pistol out of my hands. I quickly backed up a bit and drew my sword and blocked another machete attack then cut off the thug's arm before stabbing him in the chest. Another thug swung his machete but I ducked under and kicked him away before pulling out my sword.

One of the thugs ran towards me at full speed but I grabbed his arm and flipped him over my shoulder then stabbed him in the chest. Someone from behind kicked my back and I fell onto the ground. I rolled over and kicked the thug's legs making him fall face forward towards me and I impaled him with my sword. Another thug ran up to me but Evan shot him. I shoved the dead body away and moved down the hallway where more thugs began to come out of their rooms.

"Creed!" yelled Evan

He threw me my BCM CQB-11 rifle and I caught it. I cocked it and opened fire killing most of the thugs but one of them came out of the room right next to me and he kicked my gun away. He tackled me to the ground and grabbed my leg and dragged me.

"Cut his leg!" yelled the thug grabbing my leg

Another thug raised his machete up, getting ready to slice my leg but using my free leg, I kicked the guy with the machete away then kicked the guy who was holding me. I got up and ran for my gun as the two thugs chased me. I jumped and rolled on the ground while picking up my gun and quickly laid on my back and shot the two thugs.

"Come on Evan." I said as I helped him up

I heard more thugs running towards our direction.

"In here." I said

I entered the room and closed the door behind us. I looked around to find a safe spot to hide but there was not a single place where it didn't look obvious.

"Shit..." I groaned

I looked around and tried to see if there was any kind of exit but I couldn't find anything.

"We're fucked." groaned Evan

I cocked my rifle and aimed it at the door.

"I only got one bullet left." said Evan

"Here." I tossed him another mag

I heard the distant voices and footsteps get closer each second. My sweat dripped down my forehead and my grip around my gun was tight.

'Please leave.'

"Huh? What's that?" said a voice outside the door

Suddenly the door blasted open and the walls next to them were shredded. I covered my face as the walls were destroyed.

"Pod 042 at your service." said a familiar voice

My eyes widened as I looked up to see Pod.

"Pod? What are you doing here?!" I gasped

"2B has been captured and ordered me to come and assist you." replied Pod 042

I grit my teeth in anger and frustration.

"Dammit." I groaned

I rubbed my eyes.

"What do we do now?" asked Evan

"I'm going to get them." I replied, "Pod stay with Evan."

"That is not advised." said Pod 042

"Saving them is my priority." I replied

"And get yourself captured as well?" asked Pod 042, "Best decision is to regroup with the other survivors."

"I agree, safest way." said Evan

I sighed and looked at Evan.

'Clam down Creed. Do what's best.'

"Okay let's do that. Lead us to the other survivors Pod." I said

I helped Evan up and walked out of the room. The entire hallways was destroyed, the entire wall and parts of the floor were gone.

"Careful." I said

"Four androids heading towards us." said Pod 042

"Fuck..." groaned Evan

I aimed my gun at the entrance of the door.

"Creed?" whispered a voice from the other side of the door

"Affirmative." I replied

The door opened and I sighed in relief when Josiah, Ethan, Nines and 4S came out.

"Creed you made it." said Josiah, "Let me help you."

He helped me with Evan.

"Nines, where's Avery?" I asked

Nines shook his head and I got even more frustrated.

"Fuck... fuck." I groaned

"I'm sorry. I tried to get to her but we were completely surrounded." said Nines

"A2 tried to save them but... she never came back." said 4S

I rubbed my forehead and just sighed.

"We have to save them... we have to." I said

I took a deep breath and thought about it.

"Nines, 4S take the pods and find the other survivors. Gather all of them to the first floor and try to find the snipers who are pinning our team outside." said Creed, "Josiah, Ethan you're coming with me. We're going to get them out of there."

"That is a very risky mission." said Pod 153, "Success rate is less than 50%."

"I'm still doing it no matter what." I replied, "Pod, scan the building and find out where they're being held."

"Scanning... YoRHa androids are being held on the 15th floor." said Pod 042

"After we secure the floors and take out the snipers, come back. We're going to need you to save the girls on the 8th floor." I said

Nines and 4S nodded.

"You two don't have to come with me." I said

"Well uhh I mean there's nothing to do." said Ethan

"We'll follow." said Josiah

I nodded.

"Be careful. Save them." said Nines

"I will." I replied

Nines and 4S helped Evan and left with the two Pods.

"Let's go." I said

The three of us left the hallways and ran up the flight of stairs.

'I swear I'll save you 2B. And the others. Just hang in there for me.'
