Creed's POV

I was busy covering the cave with vines of leaves so that it just looks like a giant boulder in the middle of a forest covered with vines.

"Creed you have a moment?" asked Avery

"Almost done, give me 5 seconds." I replied

I finished applying the vine and made some final touches and looked at my work. It didn't look noticeable so it was a good hideout place and a safe place.

"All done." I said

I reentered the camp where Avery was waiting.

"Ma'am?"

"Creed can I ask you something personal?" she asked

"Uhhh sure."

"What happened between you and 2B before you got captured?" she asked

I stand there surprised by the fact that she knew.

"Where is this coming from?" I asked

"Don't lie to me." she replied

I start to sweat and look around.

"Well I uhh I uhh, remember how I had to fix the radio antenna yesterday?" I asked

She nods in response so I continue.

"Well when I fixed it Jackass started acting nice and all kind. But I didn't think of it much until she dragged me to a scouting mission in the desert."

"Oh you dumbass don't tell me you actually-"

"No no no I didn't like to do anything but she pushed me to the sand and got on top of me and said that she loved me. But I told her that I didn't feel the same way and that I love someone else." I continued, "But she didn't care and proceeded to kiss me but 2B came and saw everything."

Avery pinches the bridge of her nose in disbelief.

"2B was experiencing an emotion called, jealousy." said Pod 042

"That's why she was all mad." said Avery

"I tried apologizing but she slapped me and threatened me." I quickly added

"Well you should have been persistent." said Avery

"I know but I guess I was too scared." I replied

"You were never good with girls." she added and I hung my head in sadness.

"Black box signals detected 1000 meters away." said Pod 153

We headed deeper into the cave and into the village. I gave Pascal the signal and he warned the machines and they all hid and stayed silent.

I hid next to the entrance of the opening and waited. It was so quiet, as if there was nothing left on this world. We silently waited for about 5 minutes until Pod 153 broke the silence.

"They've passed the cave entrance."

I let out a sigh of relief and nodded at Pascal. All the machines came out but still remained quiet.

"We have to do something, I can't last seeing 2B like this." I said

"Do you think they're conscious?" asked Avery

"What do you mean?"

"Do you think they're being controlled?" she asked

"Well it's a virus I don't think they're being controlled. They're not conscious either cause when I got into an entanglement with 2B she didn't react when I called out her name." I replied

"Pods?" asked Avery

"I couldn't get a reading of the virus. It's a very complicated virus." replied Pod 042

"The virus is controlling them individually but there is no hive mind." added Pod 153

"Okay but what about 4S?" she asked, "What can he do?"

I look over to 4S who's playing with the baby machines.

"Well, he can hack but I don't think he found the virus." I replied

"4S come over here!" Avery called out

4S leaves the machines and joins us.

"Did you find anything about the virus?" asked Avery

"No nothing, it's like the android's mind is dormant and the virus is another mind of its own. If I hack into its mind, I might get infected with it too." replied 4S

"How are we supposed to stop this thing?" I asked

"Proposal, capture an android and hack into it." said Pod 042

"But 4S will get infected if he tries to." I implied

"I can try to hack them." said 4S

"But if we lose you then we lose everything." I said

"But if we can't find anything we'll all be dead." said Avery

"There's a way, trust me I know what I'm doing." he fought back

I looked at Avery and she had a concerned and a frustrated look on her face.

"Fine." said Avery

"Ma'am."

"This is really the only option we have left. We don't know anything about the androids and we're 9 centuries old and we don't know anything about their technology." said Avery

She had a point but I didn't like it. We just met 4S and if we lose him, not only would we be in danger but so would the rest of this village.

"Fine."I sighed, "So who do we capture?" I asked

"We can't capture someone who's useless in helping. And 2B and A2 would be very difficult to capture. So I suggest Nines." said Avery

"But 2B, A2 and Nines are usually together." I implied

"Proposal, separate the three of them." said Pod 042

"A bunch of diversions." added Avery

"How about this, I'll get their attention to lure them into City Ruins because that place is easy to hide and separate them." I said, "Not to brag but I'm the fastest sprinter out of all of us, I'll get there in time without any trouble."

"Wouldn't City Ruins have a whole bunch of patrolling androids?" asked Avery

"Let's set up a diversion for them too." I added

"Wait I'm confused can we get out a map?" asked 4S

"Do we have a map?" I asked

Pod 153 displays a hologram of a map.

"Okay so how should we do this? So uhhh, let's try the flooded city, no we should try the factory." I said

"Why the factory?" asked 4S

"We're most likely going to set up an explosion which will get everyone's attention. They'll be looking around the factory looking for us." I said

"But what if 2B, A2 and Nines go to the factory with them?" asked Avery

"We have to find them before setting them off." I replied, "From there we separate them from the group and then we set off the explosion. And while they're running towards the factory, you can cut them off.

"Wait how are we going to separate them from the group if they're already in City Ruins?" asked 4S

"I'll lure them somewhere else and then run back once you set off the explosion."

"How would I know if you got far away?" I asked

"Pod." I answered

"Makes sense." said Avery

"But I still don't seem to understand how we're going to separate them after getting them back into City Ruins." said 4S

"Avery would be set up on a roof and she'll snipe them not in the leg injuring them or anything but she'll shoot the ground and then they'll be distracted and one of them or two of them will most likely run after Avery." said Creed

"Most like A2." implied Avery

"So what do I do?" asked 4S

"Well, you're an important ally to us so we can't lose you even before hacking into Nines." I said

"I can fight him if you want so that I can separate 2B and Nines." he said

"Well uhhh, well." I mumbled

"Proposal, have a trap set up." said Pod 042

"A booby trap." said Avery

"I can lead 2B and Nines into the trap." I said

"But what if the trap gets 2B?" asked 4S

"It won't and I'm willing to bet on that." I said, "Once Nines fall into a trap, 4S I want you to knock Nines unconscious can you do that?"

"I'll do my best." he replied

"I guess that's it then." said Avery

"Rendezvous point is here." I said

We all nodded at each other.

"Wait one quick question. Wouldn't they receive your heart beats on their sensors?" asked 4S

"They won't think that we're in their main camp, plus I cut off the heart beat sensor in the camp." I said

4S nodded and we took a deep breath.

"We'll do this tomorrow." said Avery
