Chapter 6: DinoGator

Lazy started to back up slowly realizing he hasn't drawn the attention of the DinoGator yet. The creature took a step out into the open area of the woods, cleared by lazy while collecting wood. As he was taking step back the rest of the party was agreeing to meet up at the truck and run away, especially if Lazy hasn't drawn its attention.

Jinx

Lazy took a step crushing a twitch beneath his foot breaking the silence. {What is this?! A God Damn Movie!?} He thought you himself.

The DinoGator quickly turned his head locking eyes with Lazy.

"Shit" he said in an airy voice.

He immediately turned around and started running, with the DinoGator hot on his heals.

He took off through the woods that he hasn't cleared hoping to slow the monster down behind. Swiftly moving passed the trees he was barely able to out run the monster as it used its body to knock trees over to make room for itself.

"Guys I'm leading the monster towards the abandoned house on Creek Road. Would be nice if you all can meet me there and we drive off!" Lazy said slightly out of breath running from the monster.

Swift chimed in "I have a better idea. When you get to that house. Keep running down the open road to the intersection. We'll meet you there. Grimm you also head there instead of coming to my house"

"I hope you know what you're doing. This DinoGator looks [hangry] for sure!"

Swift, Power and Nitro all got into the truck and sped off.

Grimm changed directions heading to the intersection. Slowing his pace since he would have to run into Lazy and the monster before reaching the intersection.

Lazy was quickly gaining ground as the monster was taking very minor damage from the trees. His health showed 990.

{I can't believe he's already taken damage from just bashing trees down. Then again I guess it does make sense. Goes to show how it has changed from a video game} Lazy thought to himself

While running he would randomly cast Arcane Blast behind him trying to deal any damage he could.

In a couple minutes he used up nearly half of his mana only dealing 100 points of damage to the monster.

{Fuck this thing is going to eat me. Will o respawn? I know the message said but will it be close by or will I spawn somewhere far away?} Lazy pondered while the monster was getting close to him.

Lazy finally made it the abandoned house. Only 4 blocks away is the intersection.

"Guys I'm just about there. I don't you!"

"We're almost there" Power said "Swift is driving there fast and Nitro is taking aim and ready. Just keep running and wait on the far side of the intersection. We'll be there to grab you."

While dodging bites coming on either side of him Lazy was running like his life depended on it.

Because it does.

Faster and faster he ran with the DinGator ever closer behind him. Lazy had spent nearly 2/3rds his mana bar only having done 175 damage to the monster. As he gets closer to the intersection he's starting to run out of stamina and finally needing to catch his breath. He looks around and still doesn't see his friends. Panic starts to set in as he stands on the far side of the intersection with his hands on his knees catching breath.

Everything starts to slow down. He's exhausted from running and using spells simultaneously. He looks up with the sun shining above as the DinoGators mouth starts to close on him.

BANG

In an instant the DinoGator it hit falling to the ground taking 500 points of damage!

Lazy is stunned. He looks over seeing the truck completely smashed laying on its side next to the DinoGator that was just hit by the truck. His jaw is wide open.

Swift kicks the door off the henges climbing out while the DinoGator slowly gets up.

Power rushes to his side with his shield up in front of Lazy and his hammer at the ready.

"Did you think we forgot about you son?" Power said with a chuckle.

Simultaneously Nitro opened fire using his Twin Impact ability landing 4 shots on the creature. Swift took his swords out and bashed them together activating his Clang skill trying to disorient the monster.

150 damage was dealt to hit by Nitro

DinoeGator also resisted the stun from Swift's clang skill.

The creature immediately charged at Power and the exhausted Lazy. As soon as it went to bite at them Power activated his Psionic shield around the two stopping it's jaws couple feet away with its teeth just barely piercing the shield.

The monsters eyes started to fog up and learn a pitch black color. Grimm used his Darkness Hex to blind the creature.

Power deactivated his shield and the two ran towards Grimm.

The DinoGator activated it's ability Rampage and started to thrash around blindly

Literally!

Nitro took another shot at it as Swift jumped onto its back stabbing both swords into it

The creature let out a loud hissing roar from pain.

Swift and Nitro did a combined 150 damage.

15 Hp left they all thought.

I'm an instant the entire team attacked all at once.

Grimmer used his Weakened Hex to weaken the armor of the monsters scaled. Power pulled back his Hammer and thrusted it forward activating his Psionic thrust. Nitro used Overload and Twin Impact on his canon shooting the monster. Lazy could only use his Arcane Blast. Swift held his two wards side by side activating his Sonic Slash for both swords.

In total they dealt 670 damage.

The Arcane Blast from Lazy did little damage compared to the rest of the group. The Psionic Thrust made a 5ft wide hole through the length of the creature. Nitro's dual skilled attack blew off the arms of the creature. Swift's swords slashed through the neck beheading the creature. These attacks did even more damage thanks to Grimms hex spell.

In an instant the deadly creature was killed between the five of them.

Grimm and Lazy gained enough experience to make it to lv 5 while the other three leveled up to lv 6. Gaining 10 and 12 experience points respectively.
