Chapter 30: Even More Preparation

The guild leaders left the command center and sent the crew back in. Saint stayed to inform them about what's happened.

Swift took Tantrum to a large room where other players had pets or familiars. His was the largest and scariest looking. Even other players had a minor look of fear seeing this GatorRapter. Besides it's appearance even it's level sacred some players. He walked up to the front desk to check in Tantrum. The man behind the counter was a beast tamer named AlfriedaWalks.

"Hey. I'd like to check in my mount. Is there a fee? I don't really have money."

Walks hesitated. Tantrum looks ferocious.

He gulped before speaking.

"Unfortunately we won't be able to take him in the main room but we can have it in a caged room by itself. Do you have food for it?"

"Well why can't he stay in this room and play with other beasts?" Swift was slightly annoyed his mount was being discriminated against.

Sheepishly Walks spoke.

"Well sir…I'm not entirely sure if he won't try to eat the other pets. Can you guarantee that he won't eat anyone?"

He was slightly embarrassed for not thinking about that before. He agreed to have Tantrum in a solo room and gave Walks some food for him to feed with. He told him he will come back to get Tantrum later that night and signed the form.

Now he was more or less free to walk around without people judging him or being scared.

His stomach started to rumble. He went to the cafeteria to get some food. The large room had many dining tables and large display to get food. Each table could fit 8-10 people, but nearly all of them were over that limit. Many people were drinking and yelling. He ignored them as he walked past to the displays. At the hot food station was gumbo and jumbalya and even some boudin. He kept walking and at the cold food station was lots of sushi and sashimi. He walked back and grabbed a bowl of gumbo. At the very end was bottles of beer and other varieties of alcohol. He grabbed on and started to walk off.

"Hey Swift"

Someone called out to him. He turned around and saw Power. He wasn't recognizable. He wasn't in his armor but in chef clothes and even wearing a black chef hat.

Power turned back and yelled.

"Okay guys I'm going to head out thanks for letting me help!"

Everyone called back wishing him to come back any time and good luck out there. Power made his own plate of jumbalya, some fried okra and other veggies.

"Come, follow me. Let's grab that table in the back" Power pointed and lead the way.

Swift followed behind and sat down opposite from him. Sitting down power also pulled out a to-go box and placed it next to him. He pointed at it saying.

"Apparently Grimm is stupid drunk right now and Nitro said he would bringing him by. So I went ahead and made him a fried egg burger with extra cheese and tater tots with chili. I also called Lazy. He said he was a little busy and will be down in an hour. I told him we have sushi and said he'll be down in a couple minutes" Power chuckled.

"That's good. I need to talk to everyone. I had another talk with Primus"

"Uh oh. How bad is it?"

"Pretty bad. We also have, to as a group, decide where to go after KC. A lot will happen these 20 years. Apparently there's going to be two world events a year. The crowning of the goblin king is going on. It's happening in New York."

"Oh shit… that changes the game. So are we going to deal with it? I assume others are joining."

"Yeah. Let's wait for everyone and I'll explain."

The two eat for a little while longer. They nearly finished their plates before Grimm burst through the door with Nitro trying to lead him to the table. Power and Swift chuckled watching the drastic change for Grimm. From being passive and quite to this loud rambunctious person. They were happy to see something normal in this new world. They waved and called out to him.

"HEY YOU GUYS" Grimm yelled out to them.

Everyone started laughing. Nitro was embarrassed by drawing attention and eventually just left Grimm to fend for himself as he got some food. Power got up and held the burger out for him.

"Come here boy. Tch tch tch. Here's food" Power started to whistle to him like a dog.

Grimm had a doofy smile on his face. He followed him back to the table chasing the burger. Nitro was already seated eating some chicken tenders and fries. Power set the burger down at a seat next to him. Grimm quickly sat down and started taking huge bites into the burger.

"Man I love you guys" he said with a mouth full of burger and tots.

Everyone started eating again and waited for Lazy. Power and swift finished their food by the time Lazy got there. He waved to the group and went to grab some sushi before joining them.

"Sorry I'm late guys. I was preparing a surprise for tonight's event. What's goin on."

Power motioned to Swift.

"He had a chat with Primus and apparently shits going down. Although I doubt Grimm will remember much of it."

Grimm stopped eating and smiled. Everyone was grossed out as chili and cheese covered his teeth.

"Yeah so to quickly get you all up to speed. The Crowning of the Goblin king even it going on. That's why we've seen a lot of goblins lately. Apparently there will be two events yearly. Primus is going to lead an army to deal with this event that's taking place in New York. He hasn't told me his other plan, but he is also preparing for the next event. Oceans rising. It's been a while so not sure if you all remember. Atlantis will rise and there will be a civil war between the peace and war factions. We are obviously going to side with the peace faction and hopefully see if we can get some rare gear before other people do. My guess is this world won't have unlimited rare gear. Once you get it that's the only one. What I suggest is we push to be a leading guild to start preparing for that. Since Primus is going to New York, with an army, that gives us the perfect chance to swoop in and get that gear. We won't be getting a lot of experience but the gear will be priceless. Thoughts?"

Everyone agreed. No one really care what they did as long as they did it together.

Swift turned to lazy.

"Do you remember the legendary gear you can get?"

"Kinda? I know there's a trident staff thing for mages. What it does I can't really remember. Most likely something about the ocean or water. I know there's a couple of necklaces that let you breath under water and then the Sea Kings Gem. If I remember correctly it was just a boost to your skills. A solid like five percent boost to everything; stats, skills, damage, even mana regeneration. There might be a couple more. Oh! There is a sea prism golem. Made from pressurized sea stones. Down side is that it's in the war vault of the war faction."

Power whistled.

"Can we even get into the vault" he asked?

Swift spoke.

"Yes and no. Before we could pick a faction or side or whatever and be able to pick which item. If we can get to Atlantis, which is in the later half of the event, there is a small chance we can sneak in. We just have to focus on stealth skills. I'm just not sure who will. I'm planning to go into beast taming to improve my combat ratings with Tantrum. I'm assuming Power is going to stay ice Psionic. Nitro you're also going into Psionics. Grimm…is drunk but our healer. Lazy you are going pure psionics also right? What about those other two going to join as our engineers?"

"Yup. I was thinking of moving past the engineer class and focusing on Psionic powers. I already have stealth based powers so if we can get to Atlantis I should be able to sneak my way there. Also after tonight I will be able to get all the gem stones we need. So if possible. I'll get the genes we need and inject both myself and nitro. We'll be out for a day but if we do it tonight then we should be done by the time we either get to the base or right before. Also I want to bring everyone's attention to this."

Lazy leaned in close and everyone mimicked him.

Whispering he said.

"If we are going to do the Atlantis event. That's months away. We should say we are going to train to level up, and do that, but stop at Area 51 military base."

Everyone was shocked. And thought.

[ Theres nothing stopping us. There's no government or nations or anything. We can do whatever we want.]

Everyone sat back down and started to think about what they could find. Before they said anything else Moon came into the cafeteria yelling to Lazy.

"Hey! Shows about to start get going!"

He quickly got up leaving his plate and dirty dishes behind.

"Sorry guys! Gotta go. Thanks for cleaning up for me!"

Power want to yell back but he was already out of the room.

"Welp. Guess I'll clean this up then."

He slowly started to gather stuff as Grimm got up and started talking to the balcony.

"Where you going bud" Swift asked?

"To pee."

Grimm stood up on top the railing with his hands on the ceiling keeping his balance as he peed off the side of the boat. Everyone was laughing at him. Nitro closed his eyes wishing he had his bad eye sight again. Power and Swift were cackling and cheering him on. The entire room started chanting till he finished. Grimm turned around showing everything and raised his hands up in victory while letting go of the ceiling. He started to lean back and fall. The guys quickly knocked the table over to catch him. Grimm caught his balance and started laughing at his friends saying.

"Got you!" And laughing more.
