Jealous of herself

Sonya quickly enter the bathroom and brush her teeth and take a bath. Then she went to his closet and opened it.

"whoa! Lots of different and expensive clothes" she exclaim in her head and start checking out some of it. Then she remembered that Maxwell's mom was waiting for her, so she quickly find the clothes Maxwell kept for her, put it on and rush out. Celina saw her as she walks downstairs and wave her hand at her. Sonya smile at her and quickly join them at the dinning. Sonya saw two maids and an elderly woman apart from them. She nodded her head in greetings to them and they answer her politely.

"Where were all this people last night? Could it be possible that they were in the house with them last night and saw everything, what if they say something to his mom? She will have a more bad impression about her" she thought in her head still focusing her attention on them.

"What are you thinking about again" Maxwell said after calling her name twice. Sonya heard him and force a smile. "Nothing in particular" she replied.

"This is Mrs Smith, the house keeper and the maids" he introduced. Sonya greeted them warmly.

"And they just came back to the house this morning, they were not here last night" he said further. Sonya make a funny face and ignored him.

"Let's eat before the food get cold" Celina call to them and start to serve Sonya's plate.

"Eat well my dear, am sure you must be very tired from working everyday" she said smiling at her. Sonya thanked her and starts to eat.

"See I told you" Maxwell whisper to her and she jerk him away and they start to eat. Celina noticed that Sonya was just eating the meat without touching the other dish and place some in her plate"

"eat up" she said and smiled at her.

"mom she does not.." Maxwell wanted to say that she doesnt eat vegetables but Sonya step on him to stop him from talking and make a happy gesture to Celina as she force the food down her throat. After eating the maids came to clean the table and pack the plates. Maxwell wanted to send his mother off but she won't B

budge and Sonya also supported her so he left them and went upstairs. Celina and Sonya sat down in the living room and talk for a long time. Sonya find out that they both have a lot in common and they really hit it off.

"Sonya, thank you so much. I always thought something was wrong when he was hang up on a girl he saw some years ago but now that you are with him, I can rest assured" she said happily.

"a girl?" Sonya ask and turn her face towards the direction Maxwell went.

"yes. He claim she saved him but she was no where to be found. He even broke off his engagement back then that I thought maybe he has lost his mind" she said like she was telling a joke but Sonya wasn't finding it funny but she fake a smile and wanted to ask more about it but Maxwell interrupted.

"Whatever you guys are talking about will have to wait cause we have to go to work right now" Maxwell said cutting in to their conversation. The two of them were obviously not happy to leave each other soon.

"Mom, I will have Tom send you back" he said as if in an hurry. So Sonya wave her goodbye and followed him out."Is there something urgent at the company?" She asked when they got outside.

"Don't really but I have a meeting" he answered and open the door for her to enter then close the door and also entered and drove off. They arrive at the company in no time and Maxwell immediately get down to open the door for her.

"Wait! Why don't you leave first them I will follow after a while" she said.

"Why is that?" He asked.

"What do you mean why is that? Do you want us to be seen together. Nobody is going to believe it if I say that I drove in your car just because am your secretary assistant. It's too weird" She answered.

"You are my girlfriend. What other explanation do you need to give and nobody is going to ask you anything" he answered and try to pull her out. Sonya resist and shook him off. "Forget it, You won't understand. I will go in first and then you enter later" she instructed and get out of the car covering her face.

"Mr Hart, you have arrived" Michael said as he walk over to them.

"Miss Sonya, good morning" he greeted her. Sonya raise up her head and wave her hand shyly.

"Good morning" she answered.

"everything is ready for the meeting, will like to go there straight?" he continue facing Maxwell.

"Yeah, let's go there right now" he said and close the door then pull Sonya with him. Sonya gently followed. When they got inside, she saw Charles talking with someone. She left Max well's side and ran to hug him.

"I thought you will be discharged tomorrow" she said.

"Yes, but I was okay enough, so I asked to be discharged" He answered.

"But then, why didn't you come to visit me" he asked. Maxwell work up to them and drag Sonya away from him.

"Am sure I'm not paying you both to gossip around" he said sternly.

"Sorry sir" Charles apologize and leave from there. Sonya followed after to the last floor. Amy stood up to welcome him. "is everyone already there?" He asked.

"Yes sir" she said and pick up her laptop.

"Let Sonya handle today's meeting" he said and glance at her. "We'll start in five minutes" then he went straight to his office. Sonya was puzzled.

"Handle what meeting? She thought and also enter his office after him.

"what do you mean I should handle the meeting? There are rumors going around already because I was promoted after working for just few weeks, attending this kind of meeting will make everyone more curious and know that you are giving me special attention" she said to him as she entered. Maxwell turn back to her.

"you are thinking too much. You should work more according to the money you are getting paid. Your work is less that's why you have the time to gossip" he replied.

"I wasn't gossiping. He just got discharge and I.." her words was cut short by him.

"I didn't ask for the details. Time is going, prepare for the meeting" he said.

"Are you kidding, it's not like you are jealous or something" she said.

"Yes I am"

"whoa that's was too straight forward" she said and he pick something from his desk and start walking out.

"I heard that you have a girl you're hang up on for five years years, you even broke off your engagement" she said recollecting Celina's word.

"Mom told you that" he reply.

"So it's true" she said sulking.

"I will go get ready for the meeting immediately" she said and walk out. Maxwell chuckled as she went out.

"she is jealous of herself"
