CHAPTER 6

S A K U M I ✿

A new world embraced me as I took my very first step on their land. Their place didn't failed to amazed me. The houses, buildings are so stunning. The nature itself is way out of this world. The place is bustling with crowds and most of them are look like me. And other are flying above us and turn their faces and waving hello. Such beautiful creatures with wings. We pass them and the few people turn their shoulders and look at me from head to toe. They wore different types of dress. I haven't seen one on Rubiana. The fabrics are unfamiliar to me.

I felt nervous because its my first time to be away from home and have gone to different place. Hopefully this people accept my flaw and things would be different here. I hope.

The birds flew over the sky and the trees are dancing on the wind. The colors are bright and has diamonds on each leaves. Uncanny, We walked down on the field of lavender.

"Welcome to the city of Vermija"

I can't help myself drool and amused the new world in front of me. It takes my breath away. Its like a paradise. As for a long walk we stop on a slope and brush my hands on the flower as we race down "Wow!! Just wow!" yan lang ang lumabas sa bibig ko. No words to describe it. Its breath taking. Its like i somehow discovered a hidden world. And it feels magical. The horse neigh and it walked elegant and passed the people carrying a basket full of vegetables.

We reach the city and went to the nearby barn and left it with a farmer and gave him a bag of coins on a pouch. Naglakad nalang kame at panay lingon lang ako na walang tigil sa kakamangha sa lugar

"Hey kid--"

"Oww--" napalingon ako sa kanya pero nauntog ako "sorry po" pagbow ko ng ilang beses at natawa lang ang mga tao na nakapalibot sakin.

"Halika na nga"

Hinatak niya ako at panay lingon lang ang mga tao at floria samin at binibigyan kami ng daan. I smell an unfamiliar scent of the freshly bake cookies and bread and heard the metal clang nearby. I saw several mens on a training; practicing their skills with a sword. Sparring to see their potential for becoming a soldier. They're sweating really bad. Wonder what's the smell. I saw a lot of animal statue on every doorstep of any houses we passed and my curiosity drives me to asked more.

"What are those?" I asked and can't help it. She let go of my hand and handed me a handkerchief. "Para saan to?" Napalingon naman ako sa statwa ng kuneho at may dumi ito sa kabilang pisnge niya at di ako nag alinlangan na pahiran ang dumi at nilingon ko siya. Nakita ko ang pagsampal niya sa batok niya sabay iling pa.

"Pahiran mo ang pawis mo" aniya at napatawa lang ako sa kalokohan ko.

"Di bale. Ang mga statwa sa bawat pinto ng vermija ay pinaniniwalaang swerte. At minsan its there family guardian and emblem"

"Required ba lahat meron? Anong mangyayari if walang statwa?"

"Well, bad omen as we believe it represents bad luck to household, avoiding miasma that spread around the world"

"Of course it is child. Di mo yan alam dahil nasa iba kang kaharian at walang ganito sa rubiana"

Naglakad lang kame at mataas ang dinaanan naming cemento at masakit ang tuhod ko sa paglalakad. Mas madali kapag lalakad pababa. Ilang minutong paglalakad ay nadaanan namin ang isang bridge na may nakapalibot na bulaklak sa tabi at ang ilog ay napakalinis at maraming mga makukulay na isda may nakita rin akong lalake na nagpapakain sa mga ito. She stop me and she fumbled on her pocket and she pick a gold coin and she's casting something and throw it to the river and she glanced on me. While I was in a middle of confusion.

"This is a river of the enchantress. This river are connected to haeannon"

"So what does it do?"

"It brings luck"

"Amazingly weird" yan lang ang nasabi ko at natawa siya sakin. We passes the bridge and i felt something touch me and i startled and scream in fear I almost fell on the river but I just discovered that my dress change into something new. My nails are painted pink with a flower design and my dress was above my knees. Oh my goodness this is amazing!

There's so many beautiful houses. Stall

Shank and every houses has garden on them.

"I must take you with me. I will teach you everything about Prince Niflheim"

"Prince who?!"

"Prince Niflheim. Yung runway prince ng Crypton "

"Si spring?"

"Yes. Sadly he can't possibly take that title for now his too stubborn" she sounded frustrated to that prince.

He looks like a pain in the neck. We followed the emerald brick road and there's a lot of trees nearby and i was shock. How come this tree are dwarf? Samin dun malahigante pa natatakot nga kami kapag nahuhulog na ang mga prutas nito dahil mapipinsala ang mga tahanan namin.

"Have some apple"

"Apple?"

"Apple tree di kaba nakakain-- ayy haha" she just laughed all of a sudden and its weird. "Your flower. I'm sorry i totally forgot about it. You see bloomix sakumi your world is too small for us. The trees and human are big enough for you isn't it. Pero i'll talk about it in my study. You have too much to learn in our world."

We called a small house moving and i saw a horse attach to it and i was jaw drop because it can move. Pumasok kame at inilabas ko ang ulo ko sa bintana habang nakatingin sa umiikot na bagay sa ibaba ng maliit na bahay na sinasakyan namin at marami kaming nalalagpasang tao. Umupo na ako ng maayos at nakangiti siya sakin medyo nahiya ako kase abnormal talaga ako ngayon.

"This one is called a carriage"

"Cabbage?"

"Haha carriage. It works with wheels and horses and we can go anywhere. There's a lot of beautiful carriage in the city. With this thing di kana mapapagod maglakad"

"Ohhh" sabay tango kopa na naaamaze.

"Amazingly weird" a few seconds a carriage stop and ask me to go first. I was so excited and bump my head on the door.

It was a long ride. Nilalabas kolang ang ulo ko sa bintana at nakatingin sa napakalawak nilang lupain. If i go back home i'm gonna tell this to mom and dad.

"We have arrive---"

Nabigla ako ng pukawin ako ni general at pinahiran ko ang laway ko. Nakatulog pala ako mula pa kanina. Saktong pagkabukas niya ng pinto ng mabigla kami ng may biglang bumagsak at dali dali kaming lumabas at nakita ko ang isang babae na nakahiga sa cemento at umiikot ang paningin at dumugo ang kanyang ilong.

"OH MY GOD CHEYNE WHAT HAPPEN TO YOU!!"

General grab her and rush back into the carriage and she asked me to wait for her. The carriage left and i sat down on a bench nearby on a mailbox. Medyo di ako comfortable kase naiwan. I waited and a food cart passed and stop at were i was sitting.

"Miss bili ka?"

Umiling lang ako at suminyas na wala akong pera. May dumaan naman na isang lalake at nabigla ako sa kanyang presensya. Hindi naman sa mukha niya ang tinitingnan ko kundi ang mga bulaklak na lumalagas sa kanyang  katawan. Maraming mga naglikiparang petals sa paligid. Nawala din ako sa katinuan dahil sa amoy niya. Kulang nalang pati ako mahulog sa bangko.

Bumili siya dun at habang nagluluto yung tindero napalingon naman siya sakin na kinalaki ng mata ko. Naawkward ako at iniwas ang tingin sa kanya. Pinilit kong libangin sa sarili ko pero napahiya ako ng tumunog ang tiyan ko. Binalewala ko nalang dahil alam kong ako lang ang nakarinig.

Nilagpasan na niya ako at tiningnan ko lang siya na dala dala ang pagkain. Napatakam lang ako dahil ket sa amoy palang halatang masarap. Mas lumakas palalo ang tunog ng tiyan ko. Nawala na siya sa paningin ko pero nagtataka ako na bat naamoy ko parin ang pagkain. Napalingon ako sa kanan ko at nakita ko ang pagkain na nakabalot pa.
