YUGTO 1: Hallway Talk [Friends?]

[Vanilla's POV]

"Yeah~ don't worry mom. I got this!" I said over the phone. Mom just called to cheer me up on my first day of school. Well, this is the first time-- I've been away from them. I mean, living on my own at the age of 14? Just wow.

Anyways, I'm on my way to my new school, Dreamier Highschool. Sounds expensive right? I know. My mom forced me to go to that school because she thought I belong there. (Well, I am smart. I also know few martial arts. Kick boxing is one). I do wish I fit in that school. As I am ready to ride my car, I saw my long lost best friend. I'm about to call her name but someone already did then hugged her. I guess those girls is her friends as well.

I hope we see each other inside Dreamier. Since that school is way too HUGE but I'm still praying to the Lord that at least one person be close to me today but before I even get late on my first day, I rode my car and headed straight to my new school. I got off my car then wore my backpack.

"Excuse me? Can I asks you something?" I asked the girl who just got out from her car. She looks at me from head to toe before signalling me to asks her the question. "I'm a new student. Can I please get the direction where the student council is?" I asks as polite as possible but she did not response to my question instead she motioned me to follow her. "I'm the Student Council President. Welcome to Dreamier Highschool" the girl said to me not even giving me a glance. I said thank you and catches up to her pace. We're already passing through the hallway when I started hearing whispers from the students. Are they talking about me?

"New student? Wish her luck"

"Should I start my timer now? Haha"

"I hope she survive~"

"Can't wait to beat her!"

I guess they are. I just ignored them and continued following the girl in front of me. She stop in front of a huge oak door with a white template attached into it saying; Student Council Office. She lead me inside this spacious room and let me sit on the couch. I roamed my eyes around the room and spotted 3 more vacant areas. Maybe that's for the other members of the council.

"So you're Vanilla Moonstones, 14 years old and knew martial arts. Have a championship belt in kick boxing. Excellent in Science, History and Philosophy" the girl reads my profile. I keep my mouth shut cuz I'm not for a talk about me. I nodded my head sitting comfortably. "Why did you enrolled here? Aren't you scared? Have you heard the hallway talk?" then bombarded me with questions. I just shrug both of my shoulders, confident enough in protecting myself. I did not become a kick boxer for nothing.

"Uhm, To answer your questions, yeah I did hear them and my mom wanted me to be here. No, no, not at all. I'm not scared, not even one bit" replied in monotone, receiving a disbelief look from her upon hearing my last answer. In return, I looked at her blankly. "Did you even read articles about this school, Ms. Moonstones? Leave now b-before something else h-happened to you too" she said then pulls me up. I look at her confused but then we heard a click coming from the door. A blonde headed guy entered the office. He smiled to me but raised an eyebrow at the student council president and it made her froze on her spot.

"What are you doing to her, Ms. President?" He blankly asked. I stood up from my seat, glancing at the president. She's nervous. I faced the guy, reading his name plate. Tristan Kennedy. I hide the smirk forming on my lips, recognizing him. He is from a group called CARDS.

CARDS is composed of 3 boys and 4 girls. All came from a wealthy family and even richer than the owner of this school. A very good advantage for them to rule this school. ONE thing that excites me the most is--

"Miss President? I'm asking you" he asked again, cutting off my chain of thoughts. The President is already sweating and can't even utter a single word. I heaved out a sigh as I stood beside her. "She was just excited to tour me around the campus" I answered for her. She looked at me in relief and held my hand but a bit shaking, I gave her a nod before facing this Tristan guy again and smile.

"If you excuse us. We'll go ahead now. Let's go, Julia!" I cheered after I secretly read her name tag. I pulled her by the arm on our way out but a faked cough stopped us that made me look back. "New student?" He just noticed? Great. I simply nodded my head, facing the door's direction again. This time I felt the President holding on my arm tighter. I didn't mind. We're almost close at the door when a hand gripped on my free arm, facing me back at him AGAIN.

"And you already have the guts to turn your back at me?" He hissed while smirking at me. I tried to control myself from not punching him by inhaling deeply. I put a smile on my face before speaking. "I'm just excited to tour around!" I replied, faking my excitement. But deep inside? I'm already stabbing him in my mind. He looked at me for couple seconds before motioning me and the President to leave. I opened the door quickly dragging Julia out of the room. I let out a huge sigh as we reached another hallway.

"T-thank you for helping me out. Ms. Moonstones" Julia said, bowing her head at the same time. I gestured her it was okay. "You scared of him, don't you?" I asked, hands inside my pocket. She slowly nodded her head. I halted on my spot while plastering a smile. "Hey, can we be friends?" I offered a hand shake but she refused. As what I somehow expected. It was an awkward moment but I just brush it off. I'll just roam around by myself then.

"I think I can handle myself now. Thanks for the direction btw~" I said, bowing my head. She was about to say something but I already started walking. I turned left into another hallway. I was relief that no one's here. I am walking in peace when a crumpled paper were thrown out towards me and perfectly hits me in the temple.

"What the hell" I cursed silently.
