Chapter 3 : To The Guild and Skill

The next day. Dad and I were now heading to the Adventurer's Guild to determine my Skill. I'm so excited that I'm even looking like I'm running. Of course who wouldn't be excited to know their skill and to head to the Guild where adventurers gather.

"Zen, try to calm yourself down. Honestly, you were acting like an adult yesterday, but now you really look like your age," Dad scolded me while teasing me, which made my walking slow.

"Anyway, were here," Dad suddenly said, looking at one of the infrastructures.

It has a sign saying 'Adventurer's Guild - Negissa Branch'. We came in, and what greeted us is the multiple gazes of the adventurers; some looked at us curiously, while others gazed with some kind of intention.

"Let's go," Dad urges me and walked to the receptionist.

"Hello, how can I help you?" The staff inquired.

Dad answered, "My son wants to know what is his magic aptitude. Can you please take his aptitude test?"

"I see. Then please, this way if you would," the clerk guided us on the second floor, and I think it was there where they register as adventurer because I see someone explaining to a teen about adventuring.

The clerk then showed us something like a metal panel with a hand carved on it. Then she talked to me saying, "Now then, please place your hand here. After placing your hand, please release your magic power. Don't worry, you will be the only one who could see all of the informations that will be released."

I was kinda shocked at how could it operate. Also, I'm the only one who could see it, huh? I felt my heartbeat racing as I placed my hand on the panel.

...Hold up, do I know how to release magic power? ...I don't... But I guess I'm gonna try it like the MCs of the light novels I read. Try to feel it in my body.

"..."

At first, nothing was happening. But as I heighten my focus, I found something in the middle of my body. It was a very strange feeling, but I didn't dislike it. Then I focused again and tried to moves the feeling to my hands, and release it in my palm. Suddenly...

SHIIING!

"Woah!" I was surprised at the blue 'screen' that suddenly popped up, containing information about me.

[Aetherial Manifestation]: Creates a magical phenomenon based on what the user wills. Emotions might affect how the phenomenon activates. The more close to impossible, the more magic it will consume.

What's with the high-spec kind of magic God gave me?! It's kinda absurd I got a skill like this... It was a Non-Attribute Skill, but having this feels like I already have any skill.

But Dad then tapped me and said, "Are you ok? You look like you've seen something unbelievable."

"You're not wrong Dad... Now I feel like I got something I'm not worthy of..."

"Haha, then let's talk about it when we got home," Dad said then gave the clerk 5 silver coins as payment. But then, because of my excitement about my skill, I asked the clerk if I could register as an adventurer when I became 12, and she said "Of course. I will wait for you at the reception when you're 12."

After that, we walked home, and I'm so happy because I got an overpowered skill I could ever hope for. Well, I still don't know how it works, though. When we got home, it was time for dinner, and while we're eating I told them about my skill. They got surprised at my skill, but they also accepted my decision to go to academy and strengthen it.

I was also granted permission to become an adventurer, but they told me to be more careful as being one will get me into more dangers I haven't expereinced until now. I'm aware of how dangerous it can be, but I also know it might also exceed my expectations.

After eating, I decided it was time to sleep. I jumped on my bed like a kid while thinking about what happened this day. Going to the Guild was one of my dreams. What's more, I got a quite—no, a really overpowered Skill. Now I want to know how could I activate it. I spend some more hours rolling in my bed thinking how, and then drifted to sleep.
