Chapter 25 : Party Quest With Eina

"Hmm hm hmm hmm!"

Inside a room in our house, someone was humming while listening to a song...that was played on his head. He was continuously bobbing his head matching the music.

And that was me.

Someone might think I'm just wasting my magic power doing something like this, but no, it was partially being my training too. Aftef I have known about my Skill [Aetherial Manifestation], this is one of the spells I have created back then and was always using it everyday, every morning.

And just like what happened that other day, the sound of footsteps coming closer in my room could be heard. Then came a knock, after which someone opened the door. It was Eina.

"Good morning, Master. Are you abo- eh? ...Listening to music again?"

After seeing me bobbing my head alone like I'm a crazy dude somewhere, Sina made an understanding face as she said those words. I would've been emotionally famaged if Eina looked at me like that for real, but...

"Can I also listen in again? I wanna hear that music again."

"You mean 'River Flows In You'? That sure became your favorite music."

"Yes, it was good I was enchanted by the... what instrument is it again? Pi... piyanow?"

"It's piano."

After smiling at her fumbling the word piano, which was of course an unfamiliar word, I called her to sit on my side. After Eina sat, I held her hand. No, not for intimate reasons, but because the spell I'll use needs contact with a person to share what do you want to.

While it is like that, I still can't help but blush with this. I'm a healthy young man, of course. What's more, Eina is also beautiful... for a 13 year old, of course. Wait, why are you also blushing here, Eina..?

"...Is it good?"

"Yes, it really is my favorite. Other world music sure are different..."

"..."

"..."

Gaaah, how awkward!

I prayed silently for this moment to pass quickly, and I think god heard me as Mom's voice resounded from the first floor calling us. Eina and I exchanged glances before letting out a chuckle.

This was just the morning after I met Aizen yesterday. That meeting was a bizzare one, for sure, but because of that, I came home much late than Eina who came an hour before I got home that afternoon. She was pouting a little, because I promised I would make her tea after she came home, but I ended up more late than her.

Then Mom, usually having a good eyes for interesting things, saw the sack I sas carrying and stole it from me. After that, well... she almost fainted from shock. Of course, it was because of the thing inside the sack.

It was the Wyvern's Robe bought by Aizen-san.

Who wouldn't be surprised when you only have given money that can buy a Lesser Wyvern armor but got home with a Wyvern's Robe? Mom immediately went detective mode after that. Including Eina.

They made me spit out things I don't want them to know. How I met someone, I helped him(probably), and how he bought this as payback... well, all of these are quite true, but with a lie mixed in. I couldn't just say "I met the prince and he bought me this after I helped him" right? They wouldn't even believe that. Also, I think it's much more good to conceal that fact instead of saying it to anyone.

Thankfully, Mom backed off. I wonder why, because she usually won't unless I said it all, but oh well. It works in my favor. Though seeing that clothes, Eina remembered the promise I said to her and demanded we register as a party tommorow, which was today. It was because this day was a promotion day for Eina. My promise was that we'll form a party after she ranked up, and I need to fulfill it.

So after we ate breakfast, Eina immediately set off ready to go out. Of course, I need to too. I wore my newly bought Wyvern Robe and walked—no, got pulled by Eina.

"Wait, Eina slow down! No need to run!"

"No! Master, we need to go there fast for our first quest together!" she answered my plea with a large grin on her face and continued to pull my hand. No, but as you said, Ixm your master, aren't I?! Why am I being pulled by my servant?! Oh wait, she's not my slave...

But, I think I'm now getting used to her calling me Master, so I maybe getting used to seeing her as my servant. I wonder if it's okay?

As I was just thinking that, we already arrived to fhe Guild, and before I knew it, we're now in front of the other receptionist here, Claire-san. Claire-san, seeing my state, wryly smiled before greeting us.

"Good morning, Zen-sama and Eina-sama. I think your visit here means of registering as party? Eina-sama told me yesterday after I told her about the rank up."

"Is that so... sorry to trouble you," I said with a wry smile.

"It's my work, so please do not worry about it. Rather, llease fill out this form for your registration as a party."

"Finally! Oh, Claire-san, is my new card ready yet?"

"It will be ready tomorrow, so please come back tomorrow."

The card they were talking about was the adventurer's card, same as IDs used in Earth. It serves as our identification and it also has different colors and material depending on your rank. I'm told the highest rank even uses mithril, a really rare type of metal as their identification card. Mine as a C-rank had orange color and is made of silver, and Eina's will definifely be brown and made of copper as an E-rank. I've been through that rank after all.

After filling out the form, I passed it into Eina who filled it out as well. Then after Claire-san verified it, Eina jumped happily. I'm happy as well, but Eina sure was too honest with her feelings. Then I felt someone hold my hand and I got pulled again... to the Quest Board.

"Master! Since we're here, let's also do a quest!"

"No, I don't think we should right now... i still want to rest."

But after I said that, she made a teary eyed face like a puppy being left at the roadside. Seeing that, I can't really refuse... I admit, i'm weak against those attacks. i don't even have any experience with ladies back in Earth...

Well, now Eina was picking a quest we can do. Then, she presented a quest in front of me.

"...A goblin raid? At this time? If I remember, goblins in this months should be busy reproducing."

"Maybe it's because of that? Master, aren't goblins violating women too?"

"Yeah. I see, so maybe it's like that. That said, if we do this, won't you get swarmed too?"

"...Maybe, but I want to do this. Raids... make me remember what happened at the Sacred Forest..."

"I see. So you want to help other village from getting attacked?"

"Yes."

I see. There's no way I would reject that. So after we requested to do this quest, ws immediately head home to get permission. Thankfully, Dad's at home so we quickly got permission from both of them. Though someone was teasing us all the way. Sigh.

Now heading on the way to village, based on the distance, we would need to travel for hours, and by the time we got there will be evening. On our way we enjoyed the views, and we even ate lunch with some cows eating grass nearby. Then, until we got to the village, we even fought some monsters. By the way, Eina's fear of minsters was mostly gone by now. She still became stunned for a few seconds, but no fear could be felt.

And then, we got into the vilage almost evening. Seeing the village's state, it seems they were still not attacked but traces of footsteps outside the village could be seen. Maybe from goblin scouts?

Heading inside, we were greeted with mostly normal village, with only some who looked worried. We asked people about goblin sightings in the area, but only some were seen. We also asked the village chief, but he only provided information about the cave they may be hiding. I was beginning to think they may be just overreacting.

Then Eina suggested we look there, though we won't get too close. However, I suggested we do if tomorrow as its now dark. The village chief was also kind enough to give us rooms in his house for our stay.

And so, we headed for sleep, but after a while of dozing off, some noises woke us up.
