5. Amyeong has entered

𝐄𝐮𝐧𝐰𝐨𝐨'𝐬 𝐏𝐎𝐕

I woke up on the couch still feeling unusually tired.

"Did you have a good rest?", I heard Jiwoo ask.

I turned toward him whining, " Yeah but I'm still sleepy. "

He chuckled at me before telling me that dinner was ready. While having dinner I pointed at Kayden and asked him, "Where did you get that fat cat from? It's much bigger than normal ones."

I knew very well how annoyed Kayden must be at the moment but I've always wanted to say this pretending to not know anything.

Jiwoo answered, "Oh yeah... Hehe... I found him in an alley."

I'm pretty sure this sweet cheeks felt bad for lying to me but anyways.

"Hyung, you know I used to do MMA in Australia. Maybe we can have a spar someday! You know, without using awakened powers because I still can't control them very well."

"Sure! How long have you been doing MMA?"

Considering the physic of this body I can't say one year even though I have experience of 12 years...

"Just a couple of months... So go easy on me alright?"

"Yeah of course! How can I ever hurt my twin?" He said sweetly. "Oh, Mr. Kayden's treats are finished... Wanna company me to the vet?"

"Sure... But which one is Mr. Kayden? Wait, lemme guess... It's the fat cat right?"

"Oh yeah...", Jiwoo nervously replied knowing very well that Kayden was fuming right now.

"But didn't you say that your master's name was Kayden as well?"

I don't know why I'm making them suffer but this is fun.

"Oh! Umm... Actually... I kind of named him after my master...?", he answered.

"Ah... That makes sense."

Mr. Kayden probably dislikes me now T_T

Jiwoo and I were returning home after buying loads of cat treats. We were soon face to face with Amyeong. My blood ran cold.

Fuck! It's this chapter already?! I gotta get Jiwoo out of here... But wait, if I do that Kartein won't come to Korea! Ahhh I can't ruin the plot!

Jiwoo suspiciously glanced at the white-haired man and continued walking.

"Jiwoo Seo?", asked the masked stranger.

Jiwoo and I halted before Jiwoo asked, "Who are you...?"

"Looks like I found the right guy." Amyeong pulled down his mask. "Where's Kayden?"

Fucckkk! I want to run away from here with Jiwoo but I know for sure that he'll catch us!!!

"Tell me. Where is Kayden?", he asked again.

I took a step in front of Jiwoo, "We have no idea what you're talking about... I'd appreciate it if you'd-"

But he cut me off. "Don't try to play games with me. I know you're Kayden Break's apprentice."

Jiwoo swiftly picked me up on his back before I could even react and tried running away with his super speed.

"Are you trying to run off?" Asked Amyeong now standing in front of us. Sure it looked scary in the webtoon but in reality, it's terrifying.

He punched Jiwoo hard in the stomach which sent both of us flying. Amyeong then went to Jiwoo saying, "I know your power is super speed. You might've had a chance if I hadn't known what your power was. But now that I know, you can't run away from me."

And just like in the webtoon, Jiwoo tried fighting Amyeong but was quickly overpowered by him. He held the younger's fist before saying, "You're a disappointment... for Kayden's apprentice."

Taking this chance I tried to divert his attention and give us a way to run. I kicked him above his knee joint ultimately breaking his. He twisted Jiwoo's arm before punching me in the guts. In like two seconds his leg regenerated.

Uh-oh, wrong move... I think he broke a rib or two...

He held Jiwoo by his neck and asked the same question. But when the younger refused, Amyeong punched him hard enough to make him lose consciousness.

He glanced at me from the corner of his eyes before hitting me again and everything went black after that.

Even though I was unconscious I was slightly aware of the noises in the background.

"Now that you're awake, let's get started. Where's Kayden?", an unknown voice asked.

"...I don't know," Jiwoo replied.

I opened my eyes and saw Amyeong standing in front of me and Jiwoo sitting 8 feet away from me.

The stranger whose name I forgot continued speaking, "hmm... Is that how you wanna play this? Listen up, kid. I'm gonna start breaking all your bones one by one. Then I'm gonna crush your muscles and ligaments... Using my ability so you would feel every bit of the pain."

He held Jiwoo's face with an insanely sickening smile, "Most awakened ones spill everything they know about halfway through it. I wonder when you. Even so, we still have an extra as plan B." He pointed at me which seemed to scare Jiwoo even more.
