37. Kayden's other half??

Later that evening, I was busy training to not get my force control out of control. Mr. Kartein, after training me left me in spatial isolation in the small room since I wanted to train some more. Which, after some time I found out was a mistake since I missed the principal asking for Kayden's linage. I truly wished to witness that.

After Jiwoo's fight with Glant, the four of us were in our room, discussing the spar.

"Honestly, I panicked since his style was nothing like the ones I've seen. And the fact that he knew so much about me made it much harder", Jiwoo explained.

"And what else?", asked Kayden.

"I was clearly able to see what my weakness was. And why you kept reminding me how the total amount of power I house is small... and advised me to focus on what I do best rather than trying different styles... At this rate, I'll be defenceless if I face someone with more experience and power or who knows me well enough."

"This is an accurate self-assessment. Of course, other awakened ones with different combat styles will also have difficulty facing someone with greater power and strength", Kayden replied. "But the same will be more harshly applied to you, and you'll be brought down more easily than others."

Kartein joined in saying, "But that's not the only way to look at the situation. Considering your power capacity, your combat power is considerably strong. It's an amazing achievement for you to have been defeating other stronger awakened ones. And yet you're worrying over a scenario when you fight someone who's even more powerful than those you've already faced."

"Kartein has a point. You've just started to train your awakened skill and learn how to use in real combats. With that being said, we can definitely say that your outstanding combat ability surpasses that of others. In other words, keep up the good work." Kayden then continued pointing at me, "I am more worried about this kid. He awakened much later than usual and not to mention he's lacking when it comes to physical combat. His power has increased tremendously and he has the brains to turn the match in his favour but one also needs power to win a fight."

Jiwoo said, "Though Eunwoo has always had a rather weak body since childhood, he's doing amazing with your and Mr. Kartein's guidance."

"By watching Jiwoo's fight, what did you learn?", Kayden asked.

I took a minute before replying, "My shield is a half sphere and when the ground is destroyed so will my shield. So I'm now thinking about working on creating a full sphere. Other than that, I lack greatly in strength and speed, and I can't always relay on my powers to defend myself."

"Because of this little kid, I can't even sleep peacefully", stressed Kartein. "It's good that you know your shortcomings and work on them but we can't deny that the power which you house was a lot lesser than kids your age a few days ago."

Kayden started, "He's not wrong. Eunwoo needs to get stronger without relying on his awakened abilities. Until then, you should strengthen your healing abilities. Jiwoo, from now on, you will be sparring with him. And don't you dare go easy on him!" He finished while glaring at us.

I pleaded to Jiwoo making puppy eyes at him but he only shook his head indicating that it couldn't be helped. Meanwhile, Mago seemed to have made himself comfortable in the unfamiliar place as he slept peacefully on his pillow.

The doorbell rang and Jiwoo went to check out and came back with an envelope. In it were photos of cats of various breeds.

"PFFT-"

"BHAHAHAHA"

"AHAHAHAHA"

Jiwoo tried to not laugh but Kartein and I were dying of laughter. i can't believe the principal really got these.

However, Kayden was fuming which made the situation even funnier!

"Who shall I pick to become my beloved Kayden's significant half...?", Kartein joked.

"Pick carefully, Mr. Kartein. This requires utmost consideration for the sake of junior Kayden to come", I joined by scanning the picture of a black cat.

"PFFT-"

That's when Kayden finally lost it and Jiwoo had to hold onto him.

"LET GO! LET ME GO, JUST FOR A SEC, YEAH?", he threatened which didn't scare anyone at all.
