The board of directors still hasn't clarified the allegations placed against the recent MMA Preliminary match being rigged by none other than champion Han Wangguk. The still-pending allegation against him for illegal smuggling being unsolved."

"Fans and supporters of The MMA fighter Han Wangguk are distressed and demanding he clarifies the situation. As of today-"

The 28 year old MMA fighter angrily shut off the news as he slumped into the couch. Every news channel was flooding him about his tournaments being rigged. How did this even initiate?

He was a step away from being in the national team and this shit took place. There were protests arguing that he was innocent and the majority of people filed petitions for him to get kicked out of the team. Burring his face in his palms tears of rage and frustration rolled down his cheeks which he wiped away quickly.

The driver was waiting for him outside his apartment to escort him to the board meeting which will decide whether he gets to chase his dreams or quit the national team.

Calm down... I still have a chance to prove my innocence. If the Board decides to keep me on the team then the various rumors about me will stop as well. Thought Wangguk as he sat in the passenger seat of the expensive-looking car.

It would take about an hour to reach his destination so the young man scrolled through his social media which was 80% full of death threats and hurtful messages. His coach who was a father figure for Wangguk contacted him saying 'Don't worry all your troubles will be gone soon.'

He smiled at the short yet reassuring message. All the sleepless nights were finally taking a toll on him and he fell asleep.

Wangguk shuddered awake when the car crashed into something. It was a truck that was driving in the wrong lane and crashed into the car. Everything happened very fast but for Wangguk it was going in slow motion.

When it was over, Wangguk found himself upside-down in the car. His ears were ringing and his vision was blurry because of blood loss. His body was numb with pain but his chest hurt with every breath he took. He glanced at the driver only to find him already dead. With every part hurting and unable to move, Wangguk just lay there waiting for his end.

No more dreams to chase.

No more false allegations.

No more misery.

At that moment Wangguk's life glinted in front of his eyes. All his happy and sad moments together.

"Yes, sir", he heard someone's muffled voice. "Everything is going according to the plan. Wangguk won't outlive the accident. I'll report the incident half an hour later to the police."

What...?

"Please don't forget to send 1B won to me, Mr. Yang Sunghoon" ($ 768k)

Sunghoon?! He staged this accident... Just to be part of the national team?

"Hahaha... I know you keep your word, sir-"

He wanted to weep and scream but he didn't have the energy to do so. Moments ago Wangguk was ready to give up on life but now that he had the knowledge of the irregularity, he had only one thought before his eyes closed for eternal rest.
