Kristen's pov

                Alex was standing in front of my office door the next morning with a coffee in his hands. I didn't want him to come in but he wouldn't leave either. I tried to concentrate on the file I was working on but his presence was distraction.

" what do you want Xander??"

" I can see my brother finally told you about me, I'm surprised " he walked in and drop the coffee in front of me.

" you knew who I was when we met yesterday right?" I grabbed the coffee

" I'll be honest, yes but I swear I didn't mean to bump into you. I had a feeling you might not talk to me if I told you my real name. " he scratched his head " I mean Alex is my name, but everyone knows me as Xander."

" ah" I nodded as I sipped my coffee " so it's Alexander??"

" yep" he smiled

" your eyes are hazel" I mentioned

" Aiden has dad's eyes, I have my mom's "

I nodded again. " why would you think that I wouldn't talk to you if I found out who you were??"

" you know, because Aiden already mentioned that I..." he looked at me with a raised brow. " he didn't tell you"???

" no one is saying anything, what could you have done wrong??"

" he wouldn't be comfortable with me sitting with his woman" he chuckled

" he can't choose my friends " I closed up the file I was working on. " I have to give this to Mr Rodriguez, would you walk with me?"

" sure" he got up and we walked out together " so we are friends?"

" why not? "

" my mom told me you talked to Aiden, he must really like you, he doesn't listen to anyone" I only scoffed,he likes me my ass, thats annoying, fuck face, piece of shit.

" Mr Rodriguez, I finished with..." I looked up, Aiden was standing in front of me, his eyes on Xander. I turned to look at Xander, he had his head bowed.

" brother, it's nice to see you " he scratched his head

" I'm not your brother " Aiden said stiffly. He turned to look at me, he opened his mouth to say something, I just walked past him.

" Mr Rodriguez, I finished with it, I also sent the rest of the details to your email. "

" thank you miss Jones" I walked out without even looking at Aiden.

" let's go Xander" we walked back into   my office.

" looks like you and my brother had a fight" Xander said.

" something like that"

" I know how he can be annoying and crazy sometimes, but he's also sweet" he smiled.

         Xander doesn't look like someone who would hurt someone else, especially his brother. He looks innocent, and cool too. I heard on my door, it was the girl that was rude to me the other day.

" hi, it's me Alice"

So that's her name

" it's almost lunch time and I was wondering if you are ready, so we can both grab a bite together" she turned to look at Xander.

" yeah sure, Xander are you coming??" I grabbed my phone.

" yeah sure"

" what would you like to go??"

" I.. " I began

" I was thinking Macdonald so let's go there" Alice said. Xander and I looked at each other and he shrugged.

" I'll drive " Xander said.

" oh wow nice car" Alice commented stroking it. It was a Mercedes benz gle 450.

" Thanks, my mom gifted me this after I got back from Canada." He said with a smile.

" you are Mr King's brother right?" Alice asked, she sat in the front sit with Xander.

" yeah I am"

" I figured" she giggled.

         We drove down to Macdonald's, I ordered a big mac while Alice and Xander ordered the spicy crispy chicken sandwich with milkshakes to go. In a matter of time, we got our orders.

" you are clearly lucky to have Mr King, he hadn't been with anyone for a long time. Well, since when he and his model girlfriend broke up. What's her name?? I think it's Madison  Wilson and..." Alice said but was interrupted by Xander.

" we should hurry up, we need to get back to work" he got up, grabbing the rest of his milkshake, he settled the bill and walked out.

" you know, everyone was surprised to know Xander was back, we heard that he traveled to Canada right after Mr King broke up with Madison. There were rumors that Xander and madison were having an affair. " she said and sipped her milkshake.

" wait really?"

" you.. you didn't know??" She asked surprised.

" c'mon guys let's go" Xander called from outside.

        Xander and Alice were chattering throughout the ride back to king's enterprises. I wasn't really paying attention, I understood why Aiden hates his brother. I mean I hate my bestfriend for betraying me. Diana isn't sorry though, but Xander looks like he's sorry for what he did. We drove into the parking lot, I adjusted my dress as I got out.

" Kristen " Aiden was standing next to his car, he opened the front sit door " get in" he said calmly.

I turned to look at Xander and Alice, they were staring back at me, then I looked back at Aiden. " I still have a lot to do upstairs " I started to walk away.

" Kristen " I stopped in my tracks, I turned around, he was walking towards me. He grabbed my hands and pulled me with him to his car. I turned to see Xander and Alice leaving.

" let me go Aiden "

" stop struggling with me and let's go"

" no" I pulled my hand away.

" I fucking told you to stay away from my brother" he shouts.

" well, you can't tell me what to do, this whole thing is fake isn't it? It shouldn't bother you "

He scoffs " you think what you do bothers me? Like you said, it's fake, and..."

" good, so I can definitely talk to him" I didn't let him finish because I know he would say something to hurt my feelings. I walked away instead, I shed a tear in the elevator. I wish I hadn't agreed to any of this in the first place.

" Kristen " I heard Xander call me as I walk into my office. " are you okay?"

" I'm great Xander, thanks."

" I know Aiden doesn't want to see us together, he hates me because..."

" Alice told me"

He sighed " Madison was right on top of me when he walked into my room that night. I tried to tell him the next morning that I wasn't in the right state of mind and...."

" wait hold on, this happened one time?"

" I was wasted that night, and she walked into my room. She tried to kiss me and I pushed her away, but of course when Aiden walked in she told him I tried to hold her down and you know.... he didn't believe her, I mean he saw her on me, he concluded that I have been sleeping with her and none of that was true. He left that night, he wouldn't talk to me, he broke up with Madison. I explained to my mom what happened but Aiden wouldn't believe any of it." He said

" so he hates you for what you know nothing about?"

" yeah, he believes what he saw but I swear I didn't do any of it. I love my brother and I wouldn't hurt him. "

" Have you tried talking to him since you got back?"

" I did, but he wouldn't talk to me. He hates me. He isn't even comfortable with me being in the same room with him, but he would have to tolerate it on Saturday night though " he smiled.

" Saturday night?" I questioned

" my mom has this charity ball thing and we would all be there so"

" oh wow " I laughed

" you should try talking to him then, I'm sure he would listen to you"

" I hope" he frowned
