Drunk on the first day in

Turn right on Tonroe street, then make a left on mills drive," Briana told me as I turned right on Tonroe drive.

"Okay just keep going straight  . . . okay turn here," She instructed me.

"Wow. Nice neighborhood," I mumbled, pulling up to my new neighborhood, observing all the trees lined up in front of each house, surrounded by some dark green bushes.

The neighborhood I was moving into was full of townhouses.

It looked pretty cozy.

All the houses were neatly lined up with a nice green lawn and a few trees in front of it.

The houses looked small which made me frown.

How would I be able to fit all of my stuff there?

Most importantly, how would it fit all of my friends that I  would invite?

"Yeah, you really got a good neighborhood to be honest. Now let's go and find your new house," Briana said eagerly after we got out of the car, parking along the side of the road.

Briana seemed a little more excited to see the neighborhood and my house than me. I mean, I was left alone in a quiet neighborhood.

I didn't know anyone. I wasn't even sure about the history of this place.

What if someone committed a crime here, or what if someone died here?

Even if those options or crazier ones were true, I would still have to live here, mostly due to the fact that I almost went broke when buying this house.

Although I thought a bit negatively about my new home, I'm so glad that I could move away from my parents.

I would rather live upon my rules than my parents.

"Wait, what's your house number again?" Bri's question brought me back to reality.

"Uhh . . . I-"

"Ugh nevermind, I'll check it out on my maps," she sighed as I laughed nervously.

Yep. I forgot my house number, but you can't really blame me.

Paying for your own house and being on your own at 18, and getting a new job, AND life itself is just stressing.

Full on f*cking stress.

At Least I haven't found any gray hairs on my head.

"Okay, soooooo your new house is 7438," Briana said as she examined the house numbers, holding my hand as she practically dragged my lazy body to follow her.

I have never missed so many days of sleep.

I thought buying a new house was fun, but to be honest, it's not really. The one thing that made all the fun stop in buying a house is money.

Ah yes the famous people on green paper.

I'm not saying I totally rely on my parents' money, but I try my best to work hard enough to get enough pocket money for myself, and I try not to take my parents' money because I know they work super hard to earn it. So I try to be the same.

Though sometimes it's hard trying to keep up with their drama so I just kicked myself out.

I looked for a job and found myself taking up a waitress job at a sushi restaurant which was about 2 hours from my parents house.

That was before I planned to kick myself out of the house.

I now find myself here, quickly trying to get myself settled so I can get money and shop . . . and of course pay for whatever my house needs or what I REALLY need.

I do want to go shopping though.

"Here we are, amiga!!" Briana shouted which brought me back to cruel reality.

"Damn. . . " I mumbled at the sight.

"Holy sh*t Val! This is amazing! Can I live with you?!" Bri said as she stared at the house.

I expected it to look very used and maybe rough? I didn't know what to expect but what I was looking at was, of course, nothing I had expected.

My parents house was pretty messy and from the outside, it looked unkept for years.

However, my new house looked so clean.

So clean and so bright.

The bushes and the flowers around the house were trimmed so perfectly and the front yard was just so beautiful.

The house itself was just . . . Amazing.

The top half of the house showed light looking quartz stones all equally lined up.

The bottom half was almost the same color as the stones but it was wood.

"F**k Bri. . . A-are you sure this is my house? Did we get the wrong address?" I said in disbelief, my eyes widening.

"Dios mìo! Déjame vivir contigo! Please Val!" She joked, puppy eyes and a pouty face on.

"You have your house Bri, lucky for me . . . This is my new tiny mansion!" I rolled my eyes playfully as she walked up on the steps.

"Come on! Get the hell in this house Valerie!"

Almost ten hours passed with me and Valerie unloading some of my boxes. After we finished, we were soaking wet in sweat. Disgusting, but worth it.

The first floor was kind of small. It had a tv and living room when you would walk straight. There was a door leading to the garage, then there was a staircase that led to the 2nd floor, the dining and kitchen area. To the 3rd floor, there were huge bedrooms, each with a bathtub and shower. Damn, now the bathroom was just an amazing sight. Although, the bedrooms are my favorite part of the new houses.

"There's two bedrooms Val, let me stay. Por favor!" Briana pleaded, I shook my head and laughed.

"Yeah yeah, I'll let you stay so you can help me get a little more settled while I start my job. Maybe we can have a little bit of a party here, and meet the new neighbors,"

Briana's face lit up in excitement as she squealed, throwing her hands up in the air.

"Hell to the yes, amiga!"

"Well in the meantime, you can use my clothes. I'm going to take a shower, Huelo tan mal," I laughed.

"Yeah, you stink. I stink too so I'm going to take a shower in the other luxurious bathroom,"  Briana said excitedly as she got some of my clothes from the boxes and then ran up the stairs.

I laughed at her eagerness a I got ready to shower.

I dropped my clothes in a basket as I entered the bathroom.

I decided to try the bath first, so I turned the faucet on till the bathtub filled with water.

I called Bri to give me a bath bomb that she always carried for some reason.

"Here ya go amiga!" She tossed the bath bomb into the room and left after I thanked her.

I dropped the bath bomb into the water and watched it fiz until the water turned purple.

I sunk my body in and let the warmth engulf my body.

"Now this is what I call a f*ckin mini mansion bathroom!" I exclaimed.

I decided to turn on some music but my phone was on the sink counter.

"Briana! Ven aquí por favor!" I yelled for Bri.

"Oi! What's the matter Val?" She said, her eyes widening once she spotted the big bathtub.

She let out a gasp, "Woah! Motherf*cker! This bathroom looks way better than the one I just took a sh*t in,"

I laughed as she continued to walk around the bathroom.

"Pásame mi teléfono por favor," I asked.

"Going to put on some music? Let me choose!" Briana said, holding my phone up to her face.

"Ugh. Yeah okay go ahead,"  I told her as she scrolled through my music playlist.

"Ah yes, this one is the jam, Val!" She laughed happily, putting on the song "How will I know" by Whitney Houston.

"Perfecto! Whitney is just, ugh she's so amazing!" Briana exclaimed.

"Gracias," I thanked her as she nodded.

"I'm going to fetch something downstairs that I packed for a party night," She smiled, rushing out of the room.

"Damn. Whatever," I sighed and continued to soak myself in the water before hearing running footsteps.

"Look what I got!" Briana squealed, waving a bottle of red wine.

"What the . . . Bri, where the hell did you get that?" I gasped, a smile on my face as she revealed two wine glasses.

"Fake ID, bestie," She replied.

I shook my head and chuckled.

"Have I ever told you that you're the f*cking best?!"

"Yes child, I know that already, let's get to underage drinking!"

She cheered.

"Hell yes!"

We sat together across from each other in the tub while singing along to Whitney Houston's biggest hits, drinking wine and getting drunk.

"Oh shut up! I don't ever do that!" I said, my voice slow as Briana chuckled drowsly.

"Yeah you do! I saw you trying to punch Leo just a few weeks ago!" She laughed.

"Whatever!" I took a sip of my wine and stopped when I heard the doorbell ring.

"Hmm, who may that be? Did you invite a hot policeman?" She joked.

I got up from the tub and wrapped myself in a towel.

"If it is a hot officer, tell him to join us," Bri chuckled as I walked downstairs.

The doorbell rang a few more times which annoyed me.

"Wait you dipsh*t!" I shouted, water trailing on the floor from my  hair and body.

I opened the door and saw one of the hottest guys I've ever seen in my whole life.

My eyes widened and I gasped when he stuttered.

I looked him up and down, stumbling a bit.

He had dark brown hair and chocolatey brown eyes. Holy sh*t his jawline is like the edge of a knife!

He looked me up and down and I cussed.

I was still in a towel, dripping wet from water, mostly I think.

"I . . . Uhm, am I interrupting something?" He asked, his voice deep. He was clearly embarrassed so he averted his eyes away from my towel covered body.

"U-uh. No! Sh*t. I'm so sorry, is there anything you need?" I cussed.

I cursed again in my head for saying such things. I wonder if I sounded seductive-okay whatever I'm deleting myself from the whole world.

"I just thought . . . You were uh. You moved in- and I . . . Wanted to greet you . . . Uh yeah," he stuttered.

I sighed and shook my head.

"Yeah, I'm so sorry. I probably look crazy and drunk but anyway, I'll greet you later when I'm more sober," I smiled and he nodded awkwardly.

"U-uh. . .yeah, uhm okay bye?" He said.

"Bye hot guy!" I waved and shut the door.

"Oi! Who was that?" I heard Briana say, coming down the stairs in an oversized t-shirt.

"I dunno. Some hot neighbor dude," I chuckled slowly.

"I feel like a piece of sh*t right now. I'm going to bed, buenos noches bestie," She said.

I stumbled my way up the stairs and dressed in whatever clothes I found, the clothes stuck to my body from the water but I ignored it and felt my body plop onto the bed. I started to drift into a deep sleep as I heard  Briana's snoring from the other room.

"Cállate Bri!" I yelled as she snorted from her snores.

I laid my head down and relaxed, falling asleep.
