Money, Strength, Ring

Knowing that Nie Li would now be looking for him Ryu went outside where other students were surrounding venders who sold armor, weapons, and other items.

"Look, Bronze rank armour with Snow Wind Patterns inscribed on it!"

The students were excited and talked to one another. A pair of gauntlets were exuding a deep blue light. The surface was covered with mysterious carvings and revealed a faint chilling frost.

"How much is this?" One student asked in a low voice.

"Sixty thousand demon spirit coins!" The vendor said while smiling.

"Good heavens, so expensive!"

"This is Bronze rank armour with Snow Wind Patterns inscribed on it. The Snow Wind Pattern was drawn using the blood of a Snow Wind Banshee. The banshee was at its prime before being killed. The Snow Wind Banshee isn't easy to hunt. Their characteristics also made the gauntlets gain a strong attacking ability. This is definitely a suitable armour for Snow Wind type Fighters or Demon Spiritualists!" The vendor bragged as he introduced the armour.

'Hmm... seems like this world follows the same timeline as in the novel. Which means in a week Nie Li will meet Xiao Ning'er in the woods and will begin to buy all the Purple Haze Grass. In ten days he and Chen Linjian's group will go and explore the Ancient Orchid City Ruins. In about a month he will go take the master alchemist exam and make a deal with the alchemist associations president Gu yan. Guess I need to start working on making money....'

With that in mind Ryu first made his way to the library.

After walking around for about an hour Ryu finally found a area of the library that was hidden from view and a place that didn't seem to have many visitors. Looking around he noticed a lot of dust and a few cobwebs covering the bookshelves filled with paintings of varies things such as the school, people, landscapes, and more. On one of the the shelves Ryu noticed it was the only one of many filled with books, but on the end closer to the corner of the library a book was leaning againt another. On a whim he decided to fix it ignoring the dust that covered the book, but upon fixing it the whole bookshelf shook causing a bit dust to fall on the ground then moved into the wall revealing a ladder that led downwards into the unkown as this part of the library was never explained in the novel.

Although he was a little confused he wasn't afraid as he had the strength of a 3-star Gold rank fighter as he didn't waste that month he spent around the Heavenly Fate Plateau. Sliding down the ladder he reached the bottom of whatever this was and found himself in a room with a podium like structure with a cushion on top. On the cushion was an orb with no color almost like a ball of water or glass.

Deciding to look around carefully before touching the orb he started with ladder that he came down slowly working his way around the room and back to the ladder. Seeing nothing wrong with the walls or its corners he once again looked at the orb. ' Nothing out of the ordinary for a hidden room I guess, but what's this orb. I've only focused on my strength this past month and haven't trained my soul force yet so I can't exactly scan it and I have yet to reach Demigod rank so I won't be able to sense any laws from it... guess I'll use this time to check my ring.'

With a thought he entered his ring, but unlike the Myriad Miles Rivers and Mountains Painting the ring went with him almost like teleportation. Inside the ring instead of having mountains and rivers all around Ryu found himself in a valley with a lake in the center and ironically in the center of the lake was a giant tree the reached up to about two-thirds in height of the mountains that made the valley. Being that this was his world he flew up into the sky to look at what was beyond the valley and to his surprise it was only a few smaller mountains covered in trees then to ground level where a forest stretched a bit aways until stopping abruptly making it seems as though this place was an island in the void.

' This place is amazing! I would love to take some time to look around, but I only came to train.' With that in mind he landed on one of the mountain peaks and took out a giant basin and filled it with water that he collected from rivers he found on his way to Glory City. Once the basin was filled he took out some herbs and Caltrop rocks and began to grind them to a fine powder which he then poured into the basin. He continued this process until the basin turned into a darker shade of purple almost black. ' This should be enough.'

He could have gone for a darker shade or gotten in with the first bit of powder he made, but the Caltrop powder has layers in its formula. The first batch of powder he made was enough for a normal person. The next few batches that still don't change the color of the water are enough for those of Silver rank and below. A lighter shade of purple is enough for Gold rank, purple in color is for Black Gold, and a slightly dark shade of purple is for Legend rank and a dark shade of purple is for Demigod rank. A darker shade of purple almost black in color is for Spiritual God which is what Ryu plans to reach as a fighter. Although this doesn't change much from a demon spiritualist when they gain physical strength, but cultivating as a fighter to Spiritual God allows the body to gather the purest of soul force as well as gain a compatibility with the laws making it easier to understand and absorb.
