6 New boss

After a brief standoff, Dexter lowered the pistol and turned around to face the man who wished to hire him. Meanwhile, Ratana and Dara were confused about what was going on. They both wondered when Dexter had managed to learn English.

"Alright, since we made a deal, how about you take me to a fucking hospital?" declared Dexter. The man in question, who was Caucasian, with blonde hair and blue eyes. Dexter could tell he was most likely an ex-soldier turned criminal by the way he carried himself.

"Not even going to ask for my name? Alright, we'll get one of our men who used to be a combat medic to remove the bullet." He signaled to a man who came up to him and told him to sit on the stairs. Dexter would usually never agree to something like this because removing a bullet outside of a hospital is a bad idea, but he had the Devil's body.

"It's actually not too bad; it's barely bleeding." The skinny 'Combat medic' examined and just pulled out a pair of forceps and went right for it. It was painful, but the bullet came out quickly. Dexter just considered it anime logic and got back up after the guy bandaged the wound up. He started walking towards the leader.

"Come on now; we have a car outside." He turned around when Dexter reached him, and the two of them started walking to their car. The leader had a nicer car while his goons got into some sort of van. Dexter was never a huge car enthusiast, so he couldn't name older vehicles, especially when dark out.

They sat in the two-seater, and the leader turned to him with a grin.

"Not like you really give a shit, but the name is James."

Dexter just gave him a grunt and kept his handle on his pistol. They didn't even take it away from him. He still had seven more bullets since the first was already in the chamber. While staying vigilant, he took a look at his System and saw multiple notifications.

Dexter had a massive grin on his face; He just discovered a new way to make points, and it was satisfying; the only problem was he had to kill people for them. After Dexter's finished his creepy smile, he opened the System to check out Stealth.

After seeing Stealth as an ability, Dexter viewed it.

Duration: 2 minutes. Cooldown: 1 hour.

He was happy with the ability as it would make his life a lot easier. With the points he had acquired, he decided to level up Devil's body and inhuman reflexes to level 2. He decided against Devils charm for obvious reasons. It's not like he could even do much with it as a seven-year-old.

Devils body(level 2)(Upgrade cost 400)

Inhuman reflexes(level 2)(Upgrade cost 200)

Dexter could feel his body growing warm, and he was starting to burn up for a few seconds until it stopped. His wound seemed to be less painful, and his mind felt more clear. He would need to test it out in action to ensure inhuman reflexes had been worth the investment.

His points had dropped down to 110, but Dexter wasn't worried about that. He had decided to ask more about how the stats leveled up the next time that damn Devil left his harem and came to watch the sho-.

"Dexter, did you think I would miss a performance like that? Things are just starting to get interesting." The Devil interjected.

"Aight, did you hear what my question was then?"

"I can explain it for you quickly; you'll be arriving soon so we can go more in-depth in the future. Your stats get more challenging to level up every ten levels. Think of it like every ten levels; it gets twice as difficult to level."

After thinking for a few seconds, Dexter turned and looked out the window before responding.

"It always surprises me how easy-going and agreeable you are, Devil; I would think an entity like you would be different."

"Well, to tell you the truth, the last time I did something like this, the guy kept arguing with me about morals and tried to turn me into a Christian. Can you believe that? Me, the Devil praying to god? Pfft."

Dexter had to hold in a laugh from that, leaving the question of why did he choose someone like that in the first place.

"Are there any other people like me in this world?" He threw out the big question and was hoping the answer was no. He didn't want to deal with other people from the earth.

"Nah, don't worry. The last time I did something like this was a few hundred years ago. I only came up with the System recently, so I dumped the guy there to laugh at him.

"Where'd you transmigrate him to anyways?"

"Let's just say it's a world where the population of monsters was 10x more than humans, and he didn't exactly last long. Very entertaining stuff, It's a shame I didn't have the System back then; I would have modified it to mess with him. Maybe put an utterly useless system. All I did before then was put him in an obese young master in the weakest noble household. The man could barely even move, hahaha. You should have seen his face when the monsters attacked."

He was going to ask another question when the car pulled to a stop.

"Well, we are here. It's time to prove yourself, Dexter." James said with a grin on his face.
