Seeing his appearance, he smiles and thinks that many women will fall prey to the cute and handsome boy. As he is lost in his fantasies, his attention is brought back by a sudden sound in his head

"Hello system? Are yo---?" Theo tried asking as he called out loud to the system, but he paused mid-sentence due to the pop-up that appeared in front of him.

It was not really blocking his vision due to it being translucent and lightly colored. The body of the pop-up was light blue, which he could easily see through, but the text was colored black, which made it easy to read.

[The host does not need to speak or call out loud to me; Communication can easily be done just the use of your thoughts while thinking about giving a command to the system.]

[Congratulations, host for binding with system granted by the Universe Laws.] 

What? Laws? Theo thought.

[Yes, host.] 

System, what are these universe's Laws?'

[Host, the Universe Laws are $%#%¨%$]

He didn't understand anything so he waited for the system's explanation.

[Host, you don't understand because your existence isn't made for knowing this kind of information. But in a simplified explanation, the universe laws oversee the myriad of universes and govern them.]

"Huh, that is interesting. You are quite smart. Are you a sentient system? Are you self-aware? Theo thought inquisitively".

[Of course, I am smart; I hold all the knowledge known to mankind until a certain point in time. As per your question, no, I am not self-aware or sentient, at least not completely, but I can feel emotions, though very muted, as they are very foreign to me. I am simply programmed by my creator to follow my hosts orders, guide, and answer any questions they might have regarding the system.]

"Ok, so you are somewhat like Jarvis, an AI who does not have a sense of self (ego) but can care for their user and follow the commands of their user." Theo thought with his chin resting on his thumb.

"And you do not have to call me host when we are having a conversation. You can simply call me Theodore or Theo, if you like." He said.

[Ok, I will call you Theo from now on.] The system replied.

"Hey system, can I assign you a name? Just calling the system all the time feels kind of bland and boring."

[Of course, Theo, you can assign me a name.]

"Would you mind if I gave you a feminine name? Theo asked, wanting to see how it would react.

[Not at all, Theo; as you have correctly deduced before, I do not feel much or have an ego, but if you want, I can even emulate a woman's voice to make you more comfortable with my presence in your mind.]

"Then please do so, because if I am going to have a voice in my head, I would very much prefer having a clam and gentle woman voice rather than an androgynous robot voice, Thank you very much." Theo thought in a reply, thanking for the thoughtfulness.

"Hey, I am thinking about naming you Athena. What do you think about the name? Is it okay? Or do you want me to think of another one? Theo asked because he wanted to know the opinion."

[No, Theo Athena is perfectly fine name, but I would like to know how you decided on that name.]

"Hmm, so it does have the ability for curiosity and finding information." He muttered under his breath as he analyzed the AI system. If he was going to be using it, he wanted to find out as much as he could about it.

"Oh, well, that's because you mentioned before that you would be my guide in this life and provide answers. So I thought about naming you Athena; it is the name of the goddess of wisdom, civilization, and strategy in ancient Greek mythology." Theo explained where he picked up her name from.

[Thanks, Theo for thinking so highly of me and naming me after a goddess.]

 "Athena I want to ask why I am now remembering my past life after 12 years. Shouldn't I have remembered my past life when I was born and received the system?"

[Well, Theo, the answer is simple. Your baby body would not have been able to withstand the stress and pain of recovering your memories, and you would have died. If, by chance, you recovered your memory, you still wouldn't have the system. As I was enforcing your body and also analyzing this world timeline for any deviancy that might have occurred arrival or due to this being a variant earth with an alternate timeline.]

'Wait a minute... change in world timeline or variant earth with an alternate timeline? He asked in a hurry. 

[Yes, Theo.]

"Theo sat at his desk, his fingers tapping against the worn wood. He pondered what Athena had just mentioned to him. as the translucent holographic display hovered before his eyes."

"Athena," Theo says," is it not the world of the modern family?"

"Athena pulsed softly, her holographic display expanding."

[This world is similar, yet different from what you have seen in the show, The current world is a combination of different sitcoms and I will not tell which are those to keep the surprise.]

"So, keeping it mysterious, are we? Theo said, while chuckling." "Is their anything more that I should know?"

[Well, the major variance is in the entertainment industry; some shows from your old world do not exit here, and some people are born early, in later years, or are entirely born. Some of the artist exist but are not famous for for the work they did in your past life.]

"So, was I reincarnated to enjoy life or work to the bone. Theo said as he rolled his eyes." 

[Well, who knows?] "Athena replied with a little whistling, making Theo suspicious."
