3 Orphanage (2) [Edited]
(A/N: some of you said that it was not a good idea for Stephen to ask god to be an orphan so I changed it to him asking to be born in Gremory house)
**** 2 years later ****
(Rey pov)
it's been 2 years since that day, I am 2 years old now and had a good life as a baby. I have hair as strands of silver attached to my head and bright red beady eyes, I have a bit of baby fat around my body, and coupled with my cute looks and baby charm, I look like an adorable baby who everyone loves. I am quite popular among our caretakers for my cuteness and charm.
I am now big enough to walk, and Rome around the orphanage. the orphanage is quite big, and the place is nice. there is a garden, a children's dorm, a caretaker's dorm, a kids' pool, and a library. there are even some antiques in the library. there are only 5 kids or 6 kids including me living here. one is a 14-year-old boy, named Darvin, there are two boys of age 7, twins, named Haruto & Hirito, a girl of age 4, named Aisha, and a girl of my age, named Veronica.
I got to know that the orphanage is located in kuoh. and is funded by the Gremory group, which is apparently a business organization run by the Gremory clan. I also get to know that the owner of the orphanage is an old man, and he is a magician, I can sense a large amount of mana from his office. the old man has a large amount of mana equal to a mid-tear devil.
I wonder why he never found out that I am a devil, I thought I blew my cover the day I used my ability, and I still have nightmares from that day. anyway back to the topic, I think he didn't find out because 1. my father might have put a seal on me for sealing the demonic energy I emit from my body, or because I didn't have any spare energy to emit as Luna is sucking my magic dry which she used to heal me. luna is still in slumber for the last 2 years and constantly sucking my magic and leaving me with the bare minimum, I have a meager amount left which I use for my body. anyway, I am safe till he doesn't find out.
as I was lost in thoughts I didn't notice a person getting behind me
"big bwother let's play," said a voice from behind me. the voice was of a girl. the girl behind me was Veronica, she is the same age as me, as we are of the same age we mostly stayed together, she is like an adorable little sister. she has silver hair a shade darker than mine tied in a ponytail and lavender color eyes, she is wearing a pink frock with red shoes." what do you want to play" I asked her as she tackled me into a hug "bowther I want to play hide and seek, you will seek and I will hide, ok?" she asked staring at me with puppy dog eyes 'soo cute was the only thought in my mind. "ok, I will count till 10, go hide" I said to her as I close my eyes.
days passed like this. soon a month passed and today was a farewell party, Aisha the 4-year-old, girl, was adopted by a couple this morning so there was a feast to celebrate her new family and for her to say goodbye to everyone from the orphanage. everyone congratulated her and gave her a present as a memento from which she could remember us. I gave her the neckless I got from one of the sisters on my birthday, everyone's birthday is celebrated on the same day in the orphanage, anyway, I gave her a neckless and Veronica gave her a letter in which there was a drawing of us 6 children it was just some lines she drew on a paper. what do you expect of a 2-year-old, Aisha was sad to leave this place, but she was allowed to visit the orphanage whenever she wanted.
****2 Years later ****
2 years have passed since Aish left the orphanage, I am 4 years old now, but I look like a 6-year-old kid thanks to [super growth]. In the last two years, Darvin turned 16 and left the orphanage and the twins Haruto and Hirito were adopted. There were some new additions as well two newborn twins joined us last year. I heard one of the sisters say that their parents were killed and there was no one to take care of them, so the headmaster brought them to our orphanage. I feel sad for them, but I am 100% sure that their parents were killed by the supernatural because I see no need for the headmaster to go personally unless the supernatural is involved.
one day I and Veronica was playing in the garden. when one of the sisters, who took care of us, approached us. seeing her coming Veronica shouted "sister Rin come play with us, we are making a house from blocks. and we need your help, come join us" Seeing Veronica's cheerful call sister said apologetically "Sorry Veronica I can't play with you today, I am just here to tell you that the headmaster is calling for you, someone is here to meet you, now can you come with me, Veronica " said the sister and backend her to come.
(Veronica's POV)
the way towards the headmaster's room was slow and quiet when we reached there, sister knocked on the door, and after a minute a "come in" the voice came, as the voice came sister pushed the door open, in the room, three people were sitting there, in front of us was a bald old man with a mustache wearing a white shirt with a coat and blue pants and a couple were sitting in front of him. the headmaster smiled at me and said "introduce yourself veronica" and gestured towards the couple I smiled and introduced my self, "hello I am veronica, I am 4 years old, it's nice to meet you" "nice to meet you to veronica" said the couple with a smile. then the headmaster spoke to me "Veronica they are Mr. and Mrs. Shiba and they would like to adopt you "
(Rey's pov)
It's been nearly half an hour since Veronica left with the sister to meet the headmaster the way the sister spoke 'Someone is here to meet you ' i am sure that someone is here to adopt her into their family. and she is meeting them honestly i am happy and a little bit sad. happy because she found a family, and sad because she is leaving.
Nearly an hour later she returned with a toothy smile and said to me "Big brother, I am getting adopted into the Shiba family" After saying that she became sad and started sobbing and said "But I don't want to leave you" Then she started crying. it took me an hour to calm her down and make her understand that it is a good thing that she is getting adopted and that she can come to visit me anytime. that night we had a farewell party for Veronica.
As for her present, I took a risk I gathered a large amount of magic power at one point in my body and thought about using the gate of Babylon and summoned a scarf from it. the summon was successful and I did not feel any pain or suffer any injury from using my mana this time, just some itchy feeling ' it looks like now I am grown enough to use magic I should start practicing it soon ' thought Rey. veronica loved the scarf and said that she would cherish it forever. the next day she left with Mr & Mrs. Shiba
