7 Another Old Man.Not Yet Edited.

The adoption court was not far off from the red light district...It was more like inside it anyway.

Just like Earth they had different branches all over the place... The process itself was fast-paced.

Not like I was happy to get adopted by her, I just got tired of seating there. It was an annoying situation... waiting for what you don't want.

From my reasoning; the language and way of using them are similar to that of Earth... That's if I'm not crazy.

So I decided to ask for a library, which would be the easiest and best way to get information about where I am now, without asking those wicked fellows.

"The carriage will take you there... I have something to work on," said Big Mom, waving at me.

Since we arrived here, the people around have been looking at us... especially me; like I am some revered being, not like it matters to me.

Not wanting to waste time, I walked into the carriage, with it speeding off... toward an unknown direction. It took some minutes to arrive.

*Screech* stopping in front of a huge building, with bold words written at its entrance *Xadia Public Library*. There is a high chance, that name belongs to my current location.

Entering the library, I first caught sight of a desk at the right-hand side of the library, with an old-looking man behind it.

It looks like he's the librarian, and it's very obvious; walking up to him, he raised his head, adjusting his glasses to fit.

"Any problem young lad," he said, scanning me with his eyes, seeming to see through my entire being.

"I need a specific book, how do I get it," I said, going straight to the point; he looked like a guy who preferred straightforward individuals. Wouldnt want to make enemies.

"Which one," he said, taking what seemed to be a tablet from his drawer. It seemed the world has digital devices... Though my watch is mechanical.

"About our world," I said, keeping it brief and short; to not draw any attention.

"Okay lad, go to section 64," he said, dropping the tablet to look at me.

"And remember; you destroy anything, you pay for it," he said in a Stern tone. That's to be expected, even on Earth when using public services, you pay for what you destroy.

"Thanks for the help sir," I said, bowing down a little; First law of gaining favor... Always show respect.

Walking away, I rushed toward section 64; my patience was running out, and I couldn't wait any longer.

On reaching the section; I saw a lot of books, but one caught my attention... Big and unique in a sense.

Rushing to the shelf it was on, I picked it up, looking at the wording on the hardcover *Kosmos*. Hmm, sounds interesting.

The book was really heavy, if not for the book reduction in Mass the moment I picked it up... I would have surely broken my arms. It seems all items were created that way.

Moving toward a reading table; I sat down, taking in a deep breath before diving in... To the information of my new world.

The world of Kosmos, *mmmm*... I thought that meant 'world' in English back on Earth; then why in fucking hell is it a world name.

I 'world' that its name is 'world'; thinking on that line, I couldn't help but place my hands on my head.

*Ahhhhhh* what kind of joke is this, leaving that part; I decided to read through the book.

From what I can see here; the world of Kosmos is described as a big and mysterious world, having different strange places and phenomena existing in it.

It records only Five continents, and from the way, it was written here; there's a chance that others exist that have not yet been discovered.

Looking through the records, a lot of races existed in the world of Kosmos; with most of them being similar to those in fantasy books and movies.

The five continents used the cardinal point as names(north, east, west, south), with the last one being the neutral continent.

Apart from these five places the rest are known as the *Unknown*, not many had the guts to adventure in these lands.

All the continent has their powerhouse and foundation; with the neutral continent being a place for all races and groups to meet in peace.

Looking through the book; I came across the southern continent, which was known as the least in size, making it easier to transverse.

Turning toward the next page; I saw a word written in golden letters *Xadia empire*.

From everything I've seen, it's simple to guess that it is the name of my current location.

I was really getting hyped, and now I could understand where I am, which was a good thing for me; I think.

The empire is ruled by an imperial family, and though they had a parliament, the imperial family still held much power over them.

They had an emperor, who assigned regions to different groups crowning them kings, though according to the record, not all accepted the title.

Many preferred different titles, like; sect master, and many others. So they kept their titles, to keep the peace and unity.

Turning over the page; I could see the heading, pointing toward the power scaling of the world of Kosmos; grinning wildly, I opened all my brain cells, ready to catch this information.

"Don't think that's a good idea kid" said an old voice, with a warning tone to his words.

Turning around; I met eyes with the librarian, don't know how he got here without making a sound.

"Why sir," I asked, keeping up the respective facade; you'll understand if you know my first law of gaining favor.

"It would do more harm than good to you," he said, turning back to leave.

Though I felt like ignoring his words, and just reading everything here; deep inside I knew that what he'd saying made sense.

My people on Earth have a saying; What a child climbs a tree to see, an old man sees it sitting.

With that first old man preaching of not believing in hell, then this one advising me to not continue reading... It seems I have a connection with old men.

Though can't see any connection, I still believe that there is a silver lining.

"Thank you, sir," I said, bowing in front of him, showing my gratitude.

"No need to thank me... Instead, work on cultivating yourself, maybe then you'll understand" he said, walking away from me.

Raising my head; I looked toward the book, immediately covering it up, I returned it to the right position, looking at it one last time before walking out.

Reaching the librarian's desk, I gave him one last glance of appreciation before leaving, hoping that everything goes well.

"You can do it, with practice anything can be perfect, no matter how weak you consider yourself to be," said the librarian, in a low tone, with his pupil glowing for a second.

Life can be fun if you want it to be.

Life can be hard if you want it to be.

Try working towards a happy life.

Wish everyone happiness.

{And for our happiness, I would post another chap today... So keep tight FAM}
