The Inauguration Speech

"I cut off his means and reason for being annoying like that." Thea vaguely answered as they exited the cafeteria.

Mia, nor the other girls understood what Thea meant with that, but seeing her answer vaguely like that, they figured she wasn't going to expand further on it, so they left it.

Unknowingly to them, while they were walking to the school hall, the teacher who had previously tried to stop their fight was crazily using one heal spell after another on a crippled, crying, fat boy, but his efforts ended in vain as all his spells seemed to have no effect.

He had been shocked when he learned who the second year student was, but that shock was nothing in comparison to the shock he received when he noticed the boy's wounds. His tongue was gone so speaking and casting spells would be impossible, his reproductive organs were gone too, so his life as a 'man' was finished. In short, his life would be ruined if he wasn't healed.

'It couldn't have been that girl… right?' The teacher questioned, he had seen her earlier, beauty and smiles, there was no sign of her having just castrated a young man.

As the man rushed the young man to the school infirmary, Thea's small group had arrived at the busy school hall.

This building's size was comparable to the cafeteria's size, the only difference was that instead of lunch tables and food stations, the room was filled with single chairs lined next to each other, all facing a raised stage at the front of the large room.

"Wow, I bet all of the students in this school could fit in here." Reina said in daze as she looked at the hundreds of chairs lined up.

"If I remember correctly, this building is made to fit all the students in this school. For now however, it will just be the first year students, after us it will be the second years and only tomorrow morning will it be the third and fourth year students respectively." Thea said, remembering most of what Astrid had explained to her yesterday.

"Ohh, we must be first so we can get some time to familiarize ourselves with the school layout before heading to classes tomorrow." Mia guessed.

"That's exactly it, anyways find your seats, by the way Althea, you will be giving a short speech as you ranked first." A feminine voice said from behind the girls.

They turned around, only to see the headmistress standing behind them.

Thea was shocked, not by the headmistress but by the fact that she had to give a speech, just as she was about to reject it, Astrid had already left and appeared on stage.

Thea sighed and followed the girls to find a seat. Many seats were already taken by young students who were introducing themselves to each other. Thea and the girls found 5 seats next to each near the middle, of the rows of chairs. After they sat down, just like most other students, they quieted down and looked at the stage, where the headmistress had walked to the speech desk.

"Alright, quiet down." The headmistress spoke, her voice amplified by certain magic tools on the walls of the hall.

The headmistress then started a lengthy speech, talking about the rules and expectations the school had, while giving some information about the layout of the school. In short, the school had more than 26 buildings which were labeled by letters of the alphabet. In some cases, buildings would be labeled as A1 and A2 and later when the students received their timetables, they would also see the building and room number where they would get their classes.

After about 1.5 hours, the headmistress finally said "Alright, now the first ranking student, Althea Ewald will give a speech to you before the student council will notify you about certain things."

Thea then got up from her seat and walked up to the stage with a slightly irritated expression. As annoyed as she looked, many students of all genders and species looked at her in daze, almost hypnotized by her beauty.

"*Ahem*" Thea coughed into the mana stone, before looking at the hundreds of students in front of her with a careless expression.

"A wise person once said: "If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle." This saying basically means that being humble and knowledgeable is in fact a strength, never overestimate yourself and strive to learn more. Lastly… don't go flaunting your status and power towards me nor my friends, cause I will make you regret it." Thea finished her short speech with a threat while smiling sweetly.

Everyone present, blankly stared at Thea as she walked back towards her seat. They all heard Thea's blatant threat, but it wouldn't be until later that day, that they would find out exactly what she meant.

After a few seconds of silence, the headmistress awkwardly returned to the stage and introduced the student council.

The student council didn't say much, they introduced themselves and which area they represented before leaving the stage. The headmistress then returned to stage before she snapped her fingers. Just like when they received their papers for the theoretical exam, hundreds of papers flew through the sky, each finding their specific target.

'Hmm.' Thea thought as she looked at her timetable before looking at Mia's, Nala's and the twins'.
