43 Defending the Carraige

(Human Leader POV)

'This is bad' The human leader thought to himself, he and his group was on their way to the capital and their cargo was worth a lot of money. They were a group that was known in the capital for the goods that they sold but here they were ambushed by a large group of goblins.

Although goblins were stupid, they worked together well to get either food or woman. All goblins had proficiency in a certain aspect but it always remained a low tier of their profession.

"Boss! We're gonna need to leave the cargo behind! We need to run!" One of the humans shouted towards their boss, while he was fending of two goblins with daggers.

"No! We can't! Our goods are worth a lot of money in the capital!" The leader shouted back towards his men.

They had traveled for two weeks already, hauling the carriage themselves. Their horses had run away, while they had been drinking, after a monster encounter a few days ago. They had worked hard to pull the carriage, taking turns swapping the manpower.

It wasn't going great but also not that bad, until now. The human leader was thinking about a plan when he suddenly heard one of his men scream. He decapitated the giggling green goblin in front of him, and turned to look at where the scream came from where he saw one of his men struggling to fend off two goblins.

He was struck in the knee and as a result, his movement was obstructed each time he tried to step back or forth. The leader who saw this cursed and was about to shout a surrender, when a short, white figure appeared behind the man that had been struck with the arrow.

The figure suddenly vanished again and appeared behind the two goblins attacking his man. The goblins who had seen the figure behind the man they were attacking froze, before they could even look around, they felt a small hand on their head.

The human leader didn't have any goblins near him so he watched the figure carefully, it was too small to be human and It had two long tails, further strengthening the possibility of this figure being a monster was strengthened when the human noticed it didn't have any facial features instead of two demonic, creepy eyes that seemed to show enjoyment for the situation.

The goblins who were under the figure's hands had started struggling and tried swinging their daggers at the white figure but when their daggers came in contact, they didn't cut, instead they shattered into small pieces.

As the human leader and wounded man watched the figure holding the goblins, it suddenly did something gruesome. It squeezed its small, white hands so hard, the goblins heads in its grip cracked before their heads exploded, showering the figure in their gross green blood, before the blood disappeared leaving a spotless white figure, standing there.

The loud crushing of skulls had gained everyone's attention, the goblins and humans had stopped fighting and now just looked at the small figure standing there.

It was odd because the 1.8-1.9 meter tall, muscular group of humans, and the 1.2 meter tall group of 30 goblins were both equally scared of the single, 1.5 meter tall, feminine, white figure staring at them with her demonic red and yellow eyes.

When the goblins, being goblins, noticed the figures feminine figure they all rushed her, leaving the humans, as if they were never there. The humans, retreated to the carriage and got in formation.

What sent shivers into the humans spines is that they noticed the figure stood there watching the incoming goblins with happiness, shining in its eyes.
