51 Bloodline Skills

"Mia!! Are you ok?" Thea shouted as she rushed over to Mia.

Mia was shocked with how quickly Thea appeared next to her, realizing that Thea was much fasted than her, even when Thea was younger and when Mia mainly focused on agility.

"I'm alright, just tired." Mia answered weakly, as Thea had started checking her body for injuries.

Although Thea had the capabilities to intercept the wolf, she had hesitated when she saw Mia in danger, instead of making a rational decision, she did the irrational thing and panicked, and Thea realized she made this mistake.

'I can't let something like that happen again.' Thea thought to herself, as she finished checking Mia for injuries, the thought of what could have happened flashing in her mind.

Lily meanwhile, had calmly walked over to the pair and saw her daughters worried, teary expression and sighed.

"Althea, I hope you realize, you could have easily helped her in case something had actually gone wrong." Lily said, trying to be stern and teaching her daughter something.

Thea raised her head from inspecting Mia for injuries and looked towards her mother with teary eyes and nodded.

Lily who saw her daughter turn even more emotional, understood she had made a mistake not comforting her first. Lily hated these rare moments when she saw her daughter upset, she gave up the stern act and walked over to Thea and gave her a big hug.

"Don't worry, I was ready to act if something would have happened. You need to make better use of your map." Lily said while embracing Thea.

9 years ago, Thea had told Lily about all her skills, so Lily had a brief idea about how they worked, and it was at times like this that she could advise Thea.

"Uhm, are you, yourself ok?" Mia asked looking at the emotional Thea, completely confused about why Thea was being so emotional about something so normal.

As Thea was about to answer, Lily started explaining everything.

"You see, Althea has lived her whole life alone with me in the forest. When she was 3 years old, I found out she was already hunting Horned Rabbits and Berserk Boars…" Lily said while looking down at her daughter in her arms.

"When I found out, she showed me she could even hunt Black Bears with relative ease. Now 9 years of hunting and training later, she has gotten a lot stronger and the first proper person she meets is you. Thea probably panicked, as she has never needed to think about someone else's safety as it was just me and her, and seeing that you might have been in danger scared her." Lily continued explaining, wording it better than Thea ever could have.

Mia was surprised hearing about what Thea could do when she was young, she was still young which Mia just now realized she had forgotten.

'She is 4 years younger than me but much faster… I'm going to need to work a lot harder if I want to stay by her side.' Mia thought. She then blushed as she realized what she was just thinking.

"I think, I understand now." Mia responded as she nodded.

Thea who had calmed down a bit meanwhile turned and asked Mia something that was on her mind. "What was that thing you did before, when you disappeared from the Red Wolfs mouth?"

"Well, first of all, I'm guessing that was an Alpha Red Wolf." Mia said while pointing at the wolf.

This surprised Thea a bit as during the 9 years she had spent hunting, she never saw an Alpha, then again she never really entered too deep into their territory as she was afraid they might migrate to somewhere else if they were too intimidated by her.

"For the move I just used, it's called shadow clone. It's one of the skills that all members of my bloodline get, the other skills are shadow walk and shadow dagger. Shadow dagger forms a dagger from my shadow, and the dagger stays in physical form for 1 minute, as I raise the level, the duration, hardness and sharpness of my dagger increase. Now my shadow dagger skill is at level 2. You have seen what my shadow walk does already, at higher levels I will be able to move from one shadow to another instead of turning into a fog. My last skill makes a clone of myself, when I activate this skill I become invisible for 2 seconds, while my does what I was doing before activating the skill, the only downside of this skill is that I can't use it often and it uses a lot of mana." Mia happily explained, becoming even prouder of her skills as she watched Thea's amazed reactions.

Thea was genuinely amazed, she had briefly forgotten about her own skills but that didn't change the fact that she thought Mia's skills were impressive.

"Wow… wait so that means you knew the wolf was coming?" Thea asked.

"Of course, my clan has trained me to sense bloodlust, and the Alpha Red Wolf was practically flooding bloodlust even when it was hiding." Mia explained.

"Fufufu, very impressive its said to be hard training to raise your senses to such a level." Lily said after listening to Mia.

"Mhh-hu, yeah, it wasn't easy. My mentor would randomly throw knives at me, while leaking the tiniest bit of bloodlust to train me." Mia said as she slightly shivered remembering the harsh training.

Both Thea and Lily who saw this and giggled seeing her reaction.

"Well, I'm glad you're ok, as I'm still punished anyway how about I make a delicious dinner tonight instead of just some roast meat. For now, as we know Mia's capabilities, let's start walking together." Thea said while starting to walk.

"Punishment, punishment for what?" Mia asked confused as she followed behind Thea, Lily next to her.

"Fufufu, you might have the pleasure of finding out in the future." Lily said with a smile while drooling a bit, thinking about the food tonight.

'Huh? Huuh?' Mia was even more confused with Lily's response.
