1 Chapter 1 : New Life!

It was a dark room. With a little bit of light thanks for the monitor. A 23 years old man whose was sitting on a chair with his legs on the table. His name is Murano Kenji. Mouse and keyboards were clicked hard. He was playing a mmorpg game. [Note : mmorpg is massively multiplayer online role-playing game]

*Click* *Click*

In the monitor there was a character with a red robe equipped was talking with someone.

[Why did you take my loot just now?] said the man with the red robe.

He was arguing with a swordsman in a torn clothes

[Shut up. I was the first to get it. You were late]

Kenji became angry. He started to cuss at him.

[You A**hole. How dare you steal my loot. Dumb A**.]

[Haha. Kid go and cry to your mother.]

Kenji became more angrier. But then suddenly a female voice called him.

"Kenji! Dinner's ready. Come and eat."

It was Kenji's mother. Kenji lives with his parents. He is an only child.

'Tsk. He got lucky. If I had time then I would've just dueled him and take all the stuff he has.'

"Kenji!"

"Coming!"

Kenji went downstairs to get dinner. On the table, he was watching Television while his mother was serving him his dinner. He then changed the channel and suddenly an announcement about a new game came.

[So today is the day we give the result to the public about the new virtual reality open world mmorpg game called 'New World'.]

It was the result of a game that Kenji wanted to play. It wasn't even released. But the developer of the game gave out 1 copy to a giveaway. And the results are coming in today.

[So the winner for the new game is...]

Kenji started to hold his hand and started to pray.

'God Please I hope I win. Please.'

The wheel in the television kept on spinning for a while. Then it slowed down. And the winner of the game was revealed.

[And the winner's name is..... Murano Kenji!!!]

Kenji jumped out of the table in joy. His eyes were sparkling. Kenji's father got scared and yelled at Kenji.

"Kenji! Stop jumping when its dinner! Eat your meal first!."

Kenji gave a scared face. He is really scared of his father. Kenji sat on the chair and kept on watching the tv.

[So... Kenji-kun. I hope you are watching this show right now. We will be contacting your p-mail today. I hope that you will receive the p-mail and the game too.] [Note : p-mail means e-mail. But I changed it to powered mail..]

After Kenji finished his breakfast. He went in his room. He powered up his computer and he went to p-mail to check the mail. Then in the mail it said.

[Your game is being delivered currently. You will be receiving it tomorrow after noon. Just in case please confirm that this is your address.]

Kenji scrolled through the mail and found the confirmation button. He clicked the button with his mouse.

*Click*

The next morning. Kenji woke up early for his excitement. He got ready to go to hangout with his excitement. He then went downstair and greeted his parents. He had his breakfast and left the house on his bicycle.

On the after noon. Kenji was coming back from school. On the road he was thinking something.

'They were really surprised. They got so jealous that they couldn't play it. Maybe one day I will let them borrow it..'

When Kenji got to the street in front of his house. He saw a white courier van parked in front of it. Kenji got excited and dashed towards the van.

A worker suddenly talked to Kenji...

"Ummm. Do you know Murano Kenji?"

"Yes it is me."

"Oh I see. Sir here is your package."

Kenji received the box. It was wrapped in papers. He was very excited.

"Sir. I need you to sign here."

"Yeah sure."

The worker brought the receipt closer to Kenji. Kenji grabbed a pen from his pocket and signed it.

"Thank you sir. Have a good day."

"You are most welcome."

The worker sat in the van and drove away.

Kenji went inside his house.

"I'm home!"

Kenji took off his shoes. He rushed upstair to his room.

Kenji entered his room and turned the lights on. There was many stuff in his room. Many books. Many games. Equipments and more.

'Can't wait to play this!'

Kenji powered his computer and after powering up, he had the game installed and the virtual reality headset ready.

'Time to go into a different world!'

As the game was loading, Kenji was smilling in joy.

Suddenly a screen came in front of Kenji, it was a screen to write your name.

[Please write your name]

Kenji picked his controller up and started writing his name.

[Kenji, is that correct?]

There was 2 option. One saying yes and the other saying no. Kenji had picked yes.

Then the game started to load again.

'Too much loading...'

Then another screen appeared saying if he wants to turn voice commands on.

[Would you like to turn on voice commands?]

Again it had 2 options, yes and no.

Kenji wad confused.

'Voice commands? What is that?'

While Kenji was confused, he saw a small question mark on the bottom right corner. He then clicked on the question mark and then another message came.

[Voice commands is to use commands with voice. It is useful in many fights. You don't need to click to use a command. (Exclusive to only the giveaway winner)]

The exclusive writing got Kenji's mind. He was excited.

Kenji then again clicked yes.

Then came another screen. It was now telling Kenji to make his own character. Kenji was excited.

'Here it is... The character customization!'

There was a screen in front of him. On the left, there was a preview of Kenji's character. And on the write many options were showed. Kenji first went to the face slection. He then choosed a face with a skinny but healthy cheek with a medium forehead. He then went to hair styles. He had saw many different types of hair. There was a spiky one. A mihawk and more. But Kenji found a hair type that looks like his hair. Short down black hair. [Note : I forgot the name of the hairstyle.]

'Wow this almost looks like me in real life. Haha....'

Kenji then went to the eyes part. He had selected golden coloured eyes. It was almost like his eyes were like gold, but his real eyes were blue as the sky. Sometimes he got called as sky by his friends for his blue eyes.

Then Kenji went to the clothings selection. He had taken a black long coat.

Kenji then took a look at the character.

'Pretty handsome if you ask me...'

Kenji had went to the magic selection part. He then saw that there was a box. On top of the box it was spins left :1. There was another option that said spin..

'So a spinning type selection. I see....'

Kenji had clicked the spin. Then the box then started showing some names and also it disappeared and showed another one. It had started spinning. Then after 5 to 6 seconds. It stopped.

'The magic I got is..... Lighting. I guess not bad.'

The screen had shown a blue coloured text which wrote lighting.

Kenji then click next. And a basic startup was shown. With play game, options and all.

Kenji then clicked play game.

The game had loaded. But suddenly. A notification came

[Welcome. So now we are going to transfer the individual Murano Kenji to NEW LIFE! as a player.]

Kenji was confused at this situation. Sweats were coming down from his cheeks. He didn't knew what to do.

'Huh? Why does it know my real name? Is it something they added? No theres no way they can program a new screen in less then 1 day. I should quit now.'

As Kenji tried to exit. He saw there was no exit button. He got scared again.

'There are no.... I know, I should just remove my headset.'

As Kenji tried to reach the headset on his head. He didn't felt a thing. It was almost like his body didn't exist in the first place.

'Huh? I can't feel anything. Why?'

Then a new game notification came in front of Kenji.

[The soul transformation has begin. Please stand by]

Kenji got scared. His eyes became more widened.

'Soul transformation? What!? Where are they taking my soul to?!?'

[3...2....1... Soul transformation is completed.]

Kenji then got a shock in his head making him lose consciousness.

'Ugh... My mind is. Its fading....'

As Kenji was thinking how his minds is fading his eyes slowly closed.
