Chapter 4 Old Couple part 1

After an unknown amount of time, he came out of his state of forgetfulness and found himself in a trashbin hungry and with a fever. he could be heard some footsteps coming towards him instinctively he started crying.

His cry was filled with his hunger and weakness . his cry could not last even a few breadths and he lost his consciousness.

Shortly after an old man could be seen coming towards the trashbin he peers inside the bin and found a kid lying inside it. the kid was malnourished with high fever and with no fat like someone dressed a child skeleton in skin. seeing such seen old man could not hold back and pick the kid in his arms.

old man POV :

just who is cruel enough to leave a kid in such a condition. how weak he is he should be dead. what will to live even in such a state he could stay alive.

seeing the sleeping face of the kid he thought it must be fate that has brought me to you. you have struggled to stay alive till now just hold on I will bring you to doctor.

MC POV

I don't know for how long I was out cold but when I gain my bearing I felt warmeth. I tried opening my eyes but I still felt weak so I stop instead I focus on my hearing. near me was an old man talking to a woman.

Oldman: so how is the boy now.

woman: he is alright now .doctor has given medicine so there is no need to worry. But the kid's body is to week he has not been fed for few days generally in such cases child would have been dead but he is still alive. it is nothing short of a miracle. you have brought him on time otherwise none could help him.

Oldman: its nothing. It was the boy's cry which called me. it was his will to live which make me do what I did.

women: yeah you may be right sir. I have seen many cases as a nurse but this kid was something. I mean being on high fever, malnourished, premature and hungry but to still live in he is much more amazing than us adults.

Oldman: yes, you are right.

Nurse: oh, there is one thing I need to confirm. doctor asked me since the child is an orphan whether we should call an orphanage or would you adopt him.

Oldman: I would like to adopt him. I And my wife don't have a child. it might be fate which offers us this chance. Besides this kid was already quite unfortunate, I want to be his family and offer him home, let this Oldman in his old days do some good.

Nurse: oh, sire you are very kind, it is boys' luck he met someone like you. I will go and inform the doctor and done with formalities. you can take him home with you in a while.

After hearing their conversation I realize that I am in a hospital and the Oldman is the one who saves me and is going to adopt me. It seems my wish was fulfilled and I was an orphan and being adopted as such the old man must be an ex-military man and a friend of wonder-women.

for the timeline and further information, I may need to wait but for now, I seem to be safe.

The next morning I was discharged and went home with the old man. I was able to open my eyes too.

my new home is outside town in a hilly region surrounded by farmland. there is only one home in miles. It is made of wood and red bricks with tiled roof, two-floored high wit a large veranda. it is made in at least 200 hectares of land which is quite large for an old couple. near my new home, there are other buildings like a car-shed and warehouse too.

As soon as the old man opens the door of the house we were greeted by an old woman.

Old woman: ohoho welcome back. finally, your sorry ass has done something good.
