Make no mistake even without the connection to the headless celestial, Knull was powerful one of the strongest in the universe still, but against someone like Cul who was his match at his peak, he could hold out for very long.

Even though the strength of Cul's destruction had started dropping and he was weakening at a very fast pace, it wasn't enough to save Knull.

Knull seeing Cul rushing towards him commanded the shadows in a frenzy as Cul was attacked from all sides.

Cul had stopped and managed to defend himself against most of the spikes of darkness, but two managed to injure him going straight through his hand, luckily it wasn't serious.

Cul Didn't even flinch his body was becoming smaller returning to its original size and his power was dropping, Cul rushed forward again this time far more ferocious.

Even if he could beat Knull after the transformation was done, it would be a long battle, and after just going through so much trouble to deal with him that was the last thing Cul wanted.

So he rushed forward ignoring all attacks that wouldn't deal too much damage or wasn't fatal, Cul charged like a beast getting closer and closer to Knull.

This was a first for Cul, he dropped all other thoughts all that mattered was dealing with Knull here and now, he really didn't want this to last longer than it needed to, his body was almost filled with darkness spike but even though they looked serious and he was bleeding heavily, it wasn't serious he continued forward.

Knull of course kept attacking, his attacks were becoming weaker with time though, and he had made a fatal mistake, he may not have noticed but as he watched Cul charge at him like a beast, and he knew his life was ending he felt some for the very first time in his long existence.

Something he shouldn't feel in front of Cul, something he may have thought was below a being of his level.

FEAR!!!!!

He felt fear, and as it did Cul felt it and craze behavior became even worse.

A savage smile adorned his face as his body was covered in blood, his appearance was that of a beast and the look in his eyes conveyed his intent to devour Knull.

To the current, weakened, and armless Knull, Cul's current appearance was far more frightening than before even though he had far less power now as Cul continued to close the distance between them Knull's fears grew and Cul's smile became wider.

He could feel it his condition was stabilizing the fear was healing him, and the greater the dear the faster he would heal, it didn't take long for Cul to reach Knull and as he did Knull dropped to his knees the fear had already started to eat him from the inside out.

" Hehehehehe, I wonder what you taste like, eating you one bite at a time." Cul said his voice sounded distorted and filled with amusement.

His head moved and Cul brought his head to Knull's neck and opened his mouth.

Knull could feel and smell his breath, but that just increased the fear he felt, making it even more impossible to fight back.

As Cul was about to take a bite out of Knull's neck he stopped, and his eyes were filled with confusion.

Cul raised his head from Knull's neck as he calmed down.

" What the hell was that?" Cul asked out loud, clearly shocked by what just happened, he knew at the end he had clearly lost control of himself and was really ready to eat Knull.

[ Congratulations host, you have managed to barely see the true face of devouring.]

Cul suddenly heard the system speak to Jim and was shocked normally no matter what he did the system wouldn't answer him unless he was doing a gacha.

" What do you mean I've seen the true face of devouring?" asked Cul.

[ Exactly as it sounds, in every universe there is the ability to devour is a powerful ability always held by very powerful individuals, but as much as it allows you to grow stronger it will bring you closer to what true devouring is, taking away everything leaving you with an uncontrollable hungry that can only be filled by eating everything in sight.

But this isn't really a side effect, once you have a strong enough mind you can control this ability instead of being controlled by it and become one of the very few gods of devouring in the omniverse.]

Cul listened to the system, and had to agree, he lost control because he didn't know, but now he knew it would be different.

" System why didn't you tell me this earlier?" asked Cul.

[ The first instance of it happening isn't hard to stop, if you could the system would have woken you, the system determined there wasn't a need to warn you before as there wasn't any danger if the host doesn't want to take the risk the ability can be discarded or the host can simply stop using it.]

Hearing this Cul just smiled, he couldn't stop using devour, and becoming a devouring god sounded good.

" System how many destruction gods are there in existence?"

[ There are currently ten billion destruction gods in existence across the omniverse as one of the most powerful divinities it has the tenth least amount of gods.]

Hearing his Cul was surprised before he realized the number looked small since there should be an infinite amount of universes and it seemed there seemed to be nine other divinities with fewer gods.

" System what about devouring divinity?" asked Cul.

[ The devouring divinity currently has a total of twenty gods.]
