Chapter 4: First Spirit Ring (Part 1)

Today was really an exciting day for Oscar, because it was the first time that he was actually going to leave the village. Something that he dreamed to do but because of having an over protective mother, that never happened!

'Since becoming a spirit master, thing have really changed! But I think that the real reason mother let me go with her is that she has no way to keep a spirit beast alive from wherever she's going to hunt it to here'

As if confirming his thoughts, when Ao Lin saw her she said with a nervous expression.

"Or son just let me try to see if I can get a spirit and bring it here for you to kill it?"

"Mom! I'm not a kid anymore!"

"You just say that because you don't know how dangerous is the outside world! What if someone try to kidnap you? There have never been a food spirit master with Innate Full spirit power you know? And rare things like you are often targeted by slave merchants, nobles or even the Spirit Hall!''

When saying her last words a touch of sadness appears on her face as if thinking of something painful to recall. Seeing that, Oscar calm down and said softly. "Don't worry mother, I'll be careful. Beside it is exactly for reasons like that that I create my own movement technique and you also saw how powerful it is."

Seeing her son doing his best to reassured her Ao Lin who wanted to argue finally just sighs and let it go.

After Ao Lin accept letting Oscar go with her, they took a carriage in the direction of the Soul hunting Forest without wasting time.

And while Ao Lin didn't have any reaction to the landscape that scrolls through the window of the carriage, it was different for Oscar who never went out. For him everything he saw was new and greatly refreshed his understanding of the world he was reborn into.

While what he could mostly see was still a great amount of trees and bushes, the fact that it wasn't the trees and bushes from his home made him happy enough. Beside his travel in carriage only took 2 hours so he didn't have the time to get bored.

Before the carriage stopped, Oscar could already hear many noise belonging to human voices. Without even seeing the faces he could already feel the lively atmosphere of the place, which was something that he really missed since arriving in the Douluo world.

In earth, except for some holidays it was a rare occurrence for him to quit the city to live some days in the countryside. And hearing those shouting and noisy people for the first time since his transmigration really made him nostalgic.

'It's decided! For the the sake of living in the city again, I'll have to make my mother a powerful Spirit King or Spirit Emperor at least so that shameful mayor won't be getting in the way of my happiness! Especially since my mother is only 26 this year so there's still a chance for her to become powerful!'

What Oscar forgot while making that vow, was that in 3 months he was going to live in the city again for the next six years to come at least.

Having decided his next goal after returning home Oscar prepared to getting off the carriage with a great enthusiasm, but was stopped neatly by Ao Lin. Not understanding why Oscar cast her a questioning gaze.

"Son, you never went out before, so before getting off I want you to promise me that you won't leave my side the entire time. Especially when we will be in the hunting forest."

Feeling the serious look of his mother, Oscar promise even though he didn't plan to leave her side to begin with. But the promise was enough rassure Ao Lin a little bit and it didn't cost him anything so.

But one of the reasons Ao Lin made him promise that was because she was afraid that her countryside of a son would overwhelmed when encountering so many people he didn't know at all and maybe ending in a dangerous position by offending people without knowing. But she gets off the carriage, she found out that her son was more comfortable than her in that crowded place with all those people than her. It was as if he was used to it which made her a perplexed.

'Son, are you from the countryside or I am from the countryside?'
