Although the comprehension in a special element might not be helpful very much other than increasing that specific lightning attacks in the lower cultivation realms, it was very useful in the higher realm.

Without the comprehension in their respective element, then it was almost impossible for a cultivator or spirit beast to break through to the king realm and they would be stuck at the demi-king realm.
