CHAPTER 21

Arjun woke up to find Ira fast asleep on a chair with her head resting on the bed beside his arm. As he shifted slightly to grab his phone, Ira woke up with a jerk as though she got an electric shock.

“Are you alright? Do you want something?” she asked.

“Yes, I’m alright. And I do not want anything.”

“I’ll get your breakfast. I think you would want to leave after that.” She stood up, tying her hair into a messy bun.

“I feel, if my mom was there with me now, she would have taken care of me like the way you do.” he smiled politely.

“I am sure she would have been better.” she grinned.

After breakfast, Ira drove Arjun to his home. He entered his home with half a heart. But somewhere, he was happy to be around his family again.

“Hey Aju. How is your temperature?” Kavya greeted him.

“Hi sister. For now, it’s alright. But I think I’m still sick.”

“Oh, you are here finally. Where is Ira?” his dad asked.

“She is parking the car.”
