CHAPTER 16

Ira and Arjun were left with five days before the tournament began. There was no point in learning anything new at the last moment, so Arjun concentrated on practicing what he already had learnt. He played full matches against the people from his court as Ira added suggestions on how to improve his play. They discussed all the possible strategies that would come handy to Arjun. Ira also taught Arjun how to decode his opponent’s strategies.

By mid-day, as Ira and Arjun sat down for lunch, their doorbell clinked.

“Bad timing.” Arjun groaned as he was about to take a spoonful of his meal.

“I’ll get it.” Ira said, and rushed to the door.

Arjun heard a man’s voice at the door. He put the spoonful of his favourite chicken rice down into his plate and walked towards the entrance door.

“Who was that and what is this?” he enquired, looking at a package in Ira’s hand.
