120. Snooping Around

"They are quite late today honey. We even had dinner despite waiting for them. Maybe I'm mistaken but didn't Yeon say they'll be leaving early today?"

"I got a text from Stannie saying they had somewhere else to go after work. Perhaps a date."

"Speaking of dates, do you know Stannie used to have a list prepared for the things he'd do with his fated or pair when he was much younger? Your brother was a major influence of that, telling him he needed one in preparedness for his future love of his life if he intended to be a great lover." Dad Robin asked.

"He still has it somewhere in his room I'm certain of it. He must be putting Yeon through a lot just doing the stuff he alone enjoys."

"Hmm. Yeon has been cooperating lately with him. They hardly argue these days. I used to enjoy their silly fights, I found them petty and entertaining. Yeon is more practical than logical while Stannie sees everything as colorful as you can imagine, his head filled with rainbows and unicorns whenever he sees Yeon." Dad Robin commented.

"You noticed too. This place has been too quiet of late. To think a few weeks ago, we were kicked out of our own home. I wonder how many Naks is Yeon's scent."

"Yea." Dad Robin laughed aloud recalling the memory of them spending the night in the car. "I was hoping Yeon would at least put up a fight with our Stannie concerning him permanently moving into his room as well..." Dad Robin raised his head from his partner's shoulder to look up to him. "Honey, I think that is Stannie just being rebellious, showing us how badly him and Yeon need their own space."

Nodding, dad Joss agreed. "As much as I want to keep Yeon closer and work with him someday, I have to admit my brother will win this fight, but...I have a concern. I'd have hoped Yeon to have conceived by now. That was on Stannie's list too."

"Really? Did that boy actually make a new list? I was thinking all this time we were referring to an old list...or you were simply bluffing since we are competitors at keeping Yeon..." Sitting upright, dad Robin added. "...But then you did mention Yeon meeting up to our son's ridiculous fantasies..."

"Nope. There is a recent one with Yeon's name on every activity. He must have written it or updated it after graduating since he was here all the time. I bumped into it when I checked his room just to confirm if he wasn't planning on moving out without telling us."

"I'd like to see it. Can I have a sneak peak too?"

"Let's go check it out. It's been a while since I looked into it anyways."

They both proceeded upstairs to Stan's room excitedly, as if they were curious to know what Stan had been up to with Yeon and dad Robin's jaw dropped at how much space the room had after Stan's choosing to not use the room anymore. Even so, a few of his belongings lay around. "Was this place always this big? Yeon's room must be packed with Stannie's stuff..."

"How bad is he at hiding stuff?" Dad Joss asked sarcastically as he bent down and dusted off a few books he'd been taking from a box then raised a single book for his pair to see, the only one without a speck of dust. "He hid it underneath his other books that no longer interest him. No wonder Elric always found his journals."

"I think he believes he is hiding it from his fated yet Yeon doesn't even bother to come here, but surely he must know we look into him right?"

Suddenly, dad Joss burst out laughing, his pair scooting next to him to check what he was staring at. "They went on a mud bath together? Can you believe that? How in the world did he convince Yeon to a free to it?"

"Oh my word....and a cats cafe too..."

"So predictable." Perusing through, dad Joss added. "He has ticked most of the stuff here... Oh! Wait, he has added a few things since I last saw this."

"Stargazing with Yeon, staying up all night with Yeon, picnic with Yeon, couples massage with Yeon.... Everything with Yeon as if he has to remind himself not to do them with someone else."

"Cooking with Yeon...wait, honey, Yeon can cook?" Dad Robin stared at his partner in disbelief.

"Don't ask me, I just found out too." Pointing at whatever was written on Stan's journal, dad Joss exclaimed. "Oh my word! Look at the stuff he hasn't ticked yet! Our Stannie is a pervert!"

Snatching the diary from his partner, dad Robin gestured to his pair for them to end their snooping.

"Wait wait wait! I want to see what goes in that mind of his!"

"This is invasion of privacy!"

"You think?"

"We....we are terrible parents, you know that right?"

"Give that to me!" Dad Joss snatched the diary from his partner's hand, giving him his back. He sat on the floor and laughed, holding his stomach.

"I want to see too..."

They flipped through to the last page and read aloud. "Do a suppergetti kiss with Yeon..."

"Oh my word! Is he a kid!" Dad Robin exclaimed and squatted next to his partner. "Make love to Yeon on a bed full of roses... Wait, he ticked this one..."

They both looked at each other. "You don't think the flowers Yeon bought him that time...?"

"Probably..." Dad Joss nodded.

"That's it. I think we've gone too far."

"We could try that..."

"Now?"

"Why not?"

"We don't have roses, and Stan might show up..."

"We have a garden I labour in every weekend!" Dad Joss retorted.

"Those are ours! Just buy the ones we can use separately...!"

"What's the difference? You don't even help me while gardening? They'll still grow back!"

"What are you two doing in my room? I could hear you from downstairs." Stan appeared, startling his parents then his eyes dropped at what dad Joss was holding." M-my...that's my diary!"

"Oh... Sorry..." Dad Joss extended his hand towards Stan, who snatched his diary away from him. "What are you doing in my room? Why are you going through my things?"

Dad Robin formed a wicked smile. "You perv..."

"H- How much do you know?" Raising his hand to stop from answering, Stan covered his face. "Wait! Don't tell me anything! Just get out..."

"We didn't see much."

"Why would you go through my things? Just get up and leave..." Stan felt embarrassed as he pushed his parents outside.

"Hey! You already moved out the room! We just wanted to decluster some stuff so we can keep this room empty for guests."

"How about Elric's room? Huh?" Stan asked angrily.

"Elric hasn't moved out."

"He doesn't live here! You just gave him a room and.... You know what, forget it. I'll never forgive you two for this, you've gone too far this time!"

"Like you did when you and Yeon went crazy in the living room?"

Suddenly, Stan's became completely flustered that his patents couldn't help laughing at him. He felt too exhausted to argue back therefore, opted to remain silent.

"Touché."

Glancing behind Stan, dad Robin asked. "Where is Yeon by the way? You're always stuck to him like glue."

Stan didn't respond as his eyes drifted to the diary he carried tightly in his hand. He appeared dissolutioned and defeated and dad Joss was quick to notice his expression. "We are sorry. It won't happen again."

Stan's look was blank as he raised his head slowly to look at his parents.

"We could sponsor a trip for you and Yeon abroad. It was in the list..."

"First class ticket..." Dad Joss coaxed.

"Stop trying to buy my forgiveness." Stan seemed unmoved by his parents bribery.

"We'll pay for your stay too..."

"The most expensive place." Stan cut in.

"Affordable." Dad Joss's reply was immediate.

"Do you want my forgiveness or not?"

"Just do it honey..."

"Me? He caught us together!" Dad Joss complained, his eyes on his partner.

"I told you we should stop earlier but you snatched his diary from my hand! You started this!"

"You read his diary when he was a kid!"

"I was raising him alone! Of course I had to know what was going through that mind of his!"

"At this rate, you two are going to fund a lot of trips for me and Yeon." Stan brushed his hair with his fingers. He looked exhausted. "Anyway, I'm too tired to argue...and hungry. Yeon said he'll sleep over at his parents today for his birthday. His dad kept calling him so he requested for us to have the birthday dinner another day... with no surprises."

"Oh, no wonder you look grumpy."

"Not really." Stan sighed. "I'm just feeling anxious...I don't know why. I tried to convince him to go together but he insisted on going alone so tomorrow morning, I'll go pick him up for work."

"Aren't you gonna have to wake up really early for that?"

"I don't mind. I doubt I'll even sleep at night worrying about him."

"Time spent apart is good too Stannie. You've been hogging Yeon all the time to yourself..."

"I want to ask you two something." Stan cut in absentmindedly. "What do you think about Mora?"

"Mora?" Stan's parents looked at each other. "Why do you ask?"

"I just get a bad feeling whenever I see her around Yeon."

"Really?"

"Yea. It started off while in campus. She hasn't done anything wrong to me and she is quite likable but whenever I see her and Yeon together...I can't explain it. It's not jealousy as you may think... it's more of anxiety. There was a time Yeon and I attended an extra unit class added before our graduation. We were surrounded by a lot of people and it didn't bother me but when she showed up, I kind of...froze. I dismissed the feeling but then it happened again and again....every time..."

"Maybe you just don't like her."

"This feeling... Well, perhaps I'm just jealous I mean, she has been friends with Yeon longer than I have known him." Stan spoke in retrospect to how Yeon and Mora had sat together in the support group, chattering on happily.

Stan's parents exchanged looks but didn't say a word. "Go freshen up. You must be hungry."

"We'll warm up your meal and wait for you."

Stan nodded, his eyes on the floor as he left for Yeon's room.

"We can't tell him just yet about her. His protective instinct is kicking in." Dad Robin whispered after they got to the kitchen downstairs.

"Then what are we supposed to do?" Dad Joss whispered back, his eyes scanning if Stan was eavesdropping on them. "If he finds out we are investigating Mora and not just her father alone."

"Honey, Elric's mother was very specific...but she did mention Mora already suspecting... Regardless, we are to treat her the same way. If Stan were to find out she is a psychopath, he will go berserk and use the power of fated mates again."

"You and I both know it's that instinct warning him! Damn! He is going to get really mad at us for keeping this...especially when it concerns Yeon. Forget him finding us snooping over his things.

"I'd rather have an angry son than a dead one...."

"You are right. So what do we do now. Should we inform Elric's mon about it?"

"Probably. If Stan begins to suspect Mora, he is bound to do something stupid again.
