1 The Day I Met Him

Carmen's POV

I was walking on the sidewalk looking down at my phone when I bumped into something or someone. "Hey sorry Miss." I heard a voice say. "No it's my fault." I replied. I looked up to see a boy. He had on a black shirt, blue jeans, and a gray hoodie, the hood covered most of his face so all I could see was his blue eyes. I felt a blush come on my cheeks. "No I wasn't watching where I was going, what's your name?" he asked. "It's C-Carmen." I replied. He put out his hand in front of me. "Names Zane." he said. I put my hand in his. "Well it was nice to meet you!" he shouted as he ran off.

I watched as he ran, Zane huh? I sighed  Hope I meet you again....I continued walking down the sidewalk and stopped in front of my best friend's house and knocked on the door. The doorknob turned and my friend stood in the doorway. "Hey Carmen." she said. "Hey Jess." I replied. She moved to the side so I could walk in. "Hey is something on your mind?" she asked as I walked in and sat down on the couch in her living room. "Well..." she sat next to me. "Come on spit it out!" she shouted. "Ok, I ran into this boy and-" but before I could finish Jess interrupted me. "You met a boy what did you do!?" she shouted right in my ear. "Well I told him my name and he told me his and then he ran off." I replied. She gave me a death stare and stood up with her hands on her hips. "What?" I asked with confusement. "You let him run away come on girl your better then that!!" she shouted. "It's not like I could stop him!" I shouted back.

She flicked me in my forhead "So you're telling me you couldn't stop him by yelling "Stop!'' she said. "Well he ran away pretty fast….." I replied. Jess shook her head and sat back down. "If you run into him again, you better not let him run away." she said. I nodded in response. "What was his name?" she asked. "It was Zane."  We sat in a awkward moment of silence not knowing what else to say. "Was he cute?" she asked. "Well he had blue eyes." I replied in a dreamy like tone. She laughed, "Well hope he's the one you've been dreaming of, from that dream you told me about." she said. "Yeah well I have to head home so see you tomorrow." I replied. "Yeah I'm glad Summer Break Started." she said as I got up and walked out the door.

I was running down the street and ran into someone. "Sorry." I said as I started running again. I felt a hand grab my wrist, I turned only to see a guy in a hoodie, the only thing I could make out on his face was his blue eyes. He hugged me and said something "I'll never let you go, you're too important to me."

I woke up in my room just a dream….. The sun was streaming through my window. I looked at my clock which read 11:30. I sat up and got out of bed. I went to the shower and washed up, when I was done I threw on a blue blouse and black leggings and put on my casual black boots and walked out the door.

I walked in to my favorite cafe. I ordered my coffee and got ready to pay when I looked in my pocket I realized I left my wallet at home. Crap…. I thought to myself. "Miss you have to pay." the guy behind the counter said. "Uh well you see I left my wallet at home, so I can't really pay…" I replied. "Welp no money no coffee." he replied. I started walking out when I heard a familiar voice "I'll pay for her." I turned around to see a guy with a gray hoodie, this time the hood was off his head and I could see his brown hair. "No that's fine." I said, I couldn't see his face because he wasn't facing me but I had a feeling I knew who this was. "No I insist." he said as he placed the money on the counter and grabbed my coffee. When he turned around I saw his eyes and knew exactly who it was. "Zane!" I shouted. "The one and only." he said as he handed me my coffee.

"And I recall you said your name was Carmen?" he asked. "Yeah that's me." I replied. "Well glad we saw each other again." he said as he walked away. I watched him start to walk away but remembered what Jess said, If you see him again you better not let him run away! "Wait!" I shouted at the top of my lungs. He turned around and faced me, he had the most handsome face. "Yeah?" he replied. "Can I get your phone number and I'll give you mine." I said. "Sure." he walked back up to me and pulled out his phone, I pulled out mine as well. We gave each other our phone numbers and went our separate ways. I will never forget the day I met him…...
