Chapter 5

Ouch. I didn't move for a few seconds because of the impact, then rolled onto my back and looked up at my grinning friend.

"Duh. What did you even do that for? That was so not funny." I remarked. "You just don't realize how strong you are." (CR was a body-builder and had muscles the size of rocks.)

He shrugged. "Thought I'd give you a small punishment for arriving soooo early."

"Duh. Anyway, what do you want?"

"Oh, well, I just wanted to show you something. Follow me."

I reluctantly walked behind him as he led me to his backyard. I saw that there was a small pile of mud on the ground- CR had dug a pit beside the pile.

"I was just feeling really bored, so I came out and started digging here- and I found this." CR said.

So I peeked inside and saw something amazing- 100 gold bars. I was really pleased. I always loved money and wealth and wished I had more of it. And here it was!

"I knew you'd love it." CR said after seeing my face glow. "We'll split these into 2 equal halves and we'll take one half each. No arguments."

"Duh, whatever."

So we started taking them out of the ground, one by one. It was going great but as soon as we started taking the last one out, the sky suddenly turned black.
