Chapter 6: Champion Tournament Pt. 3

(AN: Jesus fuck you guys work fast. We beat the goal in like 3 days I think? Which is total BS imo. So, as they say, INCREASE THE BULLSHIT! This means that I will release the same type of chapters, meaning 2 normal ones and an extra-long bonus. If we get 150 power stones.)

I see that my next match is about to start, this time I'm against a Rogue/Wizard multiclass, so they'll be quick and have a lot of Crit Chance. They should be fun to play with for a bit.

I set Ace down on the ground and bump fists with him. His gear isn't super high level but it is a special growth type equipment I was only able to make due to maxing out both Runesmith and Blacksmith.

Oh yeah, in-game his avatar looks exactly the same as he looks in real life but his race is a feline demon he calls Felyne End. His class plan looks similar to mine though he doesn't have any magic besides self-boosting magic. We plan on using the World Item: Forbidden Knowledge on him just so he can have a little boost.

Max Level: 120

<Death Knight - Job Class Lvl: 10>

<Cursed Knight - Job Class Lvl: 10>

<Unholy Knight - Job Class Lvl: 10>

<Demon Hunter - Job Class Lvl: 10>

<Weapon Master - Job Class Lvl: 15>

<Rogue - Job Class Lvl: 15>

<Blacksmith - Job Class Lvl: 15>

<Artificer - Job Class Lvl: 15>

<Runesmith - Job Class Lvl 10>

<Palico - Racial Class Lvl: 5>

<Arch Devil - Racial Class Lvl: 5>

However, at the moment he's only level 25, he's leveling up quickly though, a Bonus from his Palico racial class. His items aren't very good though, he's using a simple steel sword alongside some light armor until he gets leveled up some more.

I also took the chance to change how my Unholy Reverend looks, updating the gear as well, due to not having updated the gear itself in a long time. I changed my armor around until it looks like someone took some stuff from Bloodborne and some other things from Dark/Demon Souls and mashed them together, not gonna lie, it doesn't look half bad.

(AN: I can't draw for shit so here's the armor, this should be the last thing that changes for his actual armor as it's finally not as vague as it used to be.)

Torso: Yharnam Hunter Garb (Bloodborne) - Take Everything

Torso2: Fallen Knight Armor (Dark Souls 3) - Take Chestpiece

Hands: Binded Glovers (Demon Souls)

Head: Black Hooded Iron Helm (Bloodborne) - Take Hood

Head2: Fallen Knight Helm (Dark Souls 3) - Take Helmet

Legs: Hunter Trousers (Bloodborne) - Take Boots

Legs2: Fallen Knight Trousers (Dark Souls 3) - Take Trousers

I also used a weapon token to change Hollow Lost a bit.

<1st Form Look: Threaded Cane[Bloodborne]>

<2nd Form Look: Hanemukuro[Code Vein]>

<3rd Form Look: Dragonslayer Swordspear[Dark Souls 3]>

<4th Form Look: Lifehunt Scythe[Dark Souls]>

I still have access to my Nightmares as that'd be a special skill only accessible to mwah!

(AN: I'm sorry about all the constant changes to how his armor and weapons look but I'm VERY undecided on most shit, I can't promise any changes in the future but I'll try and limit them)

I spend the last few minutes playing with Ace and helping him figure out his late-game gear, he says he wanted something similar to me but no or at least minimal armor, meaning he wants something light, cloth, and leather. He also stated that he doesn't want me to just make it for him, saying he wants to help me. Though with his felyne-speech it was more like a 10-year-old trying to seriously tell their parents that they want to drive a tank.

Ace: "I want armor like meowsters! Nyo meowtal though, cloth and leather only nya."

"Alright, I can do that, I'll make it for you when you get to level 80, otherwise it's pretty much a waste…"

Ace: "Nyo, I want to help meake armor… I don't want to feel useless nya…"

I was kind of shocked that Ace said he currently felt kind of useless, but that doesn't mean I'll laugh at him.

"Of course Ace, you can be the master for the making of your armor and weapons, I'll just be the helper alright?"

Ace: "Nyahaha! Meowster said I can be the nyaster for meow equipment nya!"

I laugh as I look up and see that my match is about to start, I give him a head pat before standing up and going to the transportation zone. I look back at my friends.

"Wish me luck guys!"

Before being teleported, the sound of people wishing me luck resounds around the room as they themselves are teleported to the spectators' stands.

I stand in the arena, if before it was more like a Gladiator arena, this time it's more like a legit boss fight arena. It looks similar to the area where you fight Iudex Gundyr in but the entire arena is surrounded by the pitfall instead of just one side. I look in the middle of the arena where a figure sits, seemingly waiting for me by the way they're just staring at my avatar.

Their entire body is covered by their armor, their face covered by their mask so I can't tell what they look like, not even their gender. I look around the arena, checking for any quick traps they could've set, and don't see anything obvious, there might be some rune traps under a cloaking spell.

As I approach, my opponent gets up and takes out their weapon. Which is a halberd for some reason. I mean, ok?

The halberd has a dark green tinge to it and my levels in Blacksmithing are letting me know that its made of Orichalcum. Orichalcum is a metal with a higher magic conductivity and durability at the cost of lower actual damage than something like Mithril. Though the lack of magic conductivity in Mithril can be fixed using Runes it will never be as conductive as Orichalcum, making it a top choice for spell casting weapons, which this definitely is.

Though the body is made of Orichalcum, the edge is made out of a really rare material called Freotine. Freotine has the capabilities of dealing insane magic damage, though, like Orichalcum, its physical damage is only slightly better than steel.

Their entire fighting style revolves around dealing Magic Damage then? Magic Defense is always much harder to increase than Physical Defense, not even mentioning most forms of Magic Damage skip right through Physical Defense. Making them a force to be reckoned with against most Knights and Tanks who lock Magical Defense. Mages and Wizards tend to have it though, But they tend to lack substantial Physical Defense, making something even as low quality as steel a bitch to deal with. Hence why almost no one focuses on one specific class tree unless they're roleplaying. Looking at you Momon-san.

"Hmmm, fuck it, let's play this way."

As soon as the horn sounds I switch my Hollow Lost to its Swordspear form and launch lightning bolts at them, bringing out Barak to double the amount. I feel like the Nameless King!

"Barak, focus on aerial bolts, if they get into the air, spam them, I'll cover the ground."

Barak: "You got it, boss!"

Though the damage might lessen when traveling through the ground, it makes them have to jump to avoid taking damage, though if they jump too high they'll take more than they bargained for. My opponent runs straight at me, staying low to the ground and channeling the electricity through their weapon. Eventually, they get right up in my face with a thrust before backing away and crouching low. This time sweeping at my legs.

They continue fighting like this, which makes me think of the 'Invading Executioner' boss from Code Vein. If they wanna play like a Code Vein Boss I'll play like its protagonist! I changed my weapon to Hanemukuro. My style switches from a spell spammer to an agile fucker.

Their class may specialize in agility, but the Halberd slows them down a little. I start running all around as I summon Bezalel to run counter to me, forcing their attention on 2 different melee attackers while disrupting any chance of countering thanks to Barak. This is definitely bullying.

I felt so bad that after they were down to a quarter of their health I decided to play the "Stupid Villain" Card and unsummoned Barak and Bezalel, letting my opponent fall on their knees, even if the avatar itself still has stamina, the mental acrobats you'd have to perform outweighs the actual amount of physical ones. They look up at me and notice my health bar hasn't gone down at all during the fight.

They rise to their feet and look back at me, their mask having been destroyed during the onslaught.

"You're a girl?"

???: "Yeah, does that matter at all?"

"Nope, just asking." I say before flipping my coin, landing on heads my power gets doubled and I stab Hollow Lost into their 'heart', dealing critical damage and killing them immediately. As I watch their avatar disperse I pull out 'Dead Man's Lament' and read a poem.

'They came around, undeterred;

From the corner, unfettered;

The cadavers of their brood followed after;

In the wains of silken tombs.

-A Lingering Sol'

(AN: Yes I wrote that myself, I have a doc that has a few poems for 'Dead Man's Lament' that I wrote, it'd be much appreciated if someone could write me their own though. Also, the 'author's name has many meanings, see if you can find them. I kinda cringed when writing Ace's lines, I think he'll just have regular Palico speech, combining Palicon and Anime Cat speech is terrible, I'm sorry for you're eyes.)
