Prologue 2

'Where am I?' Red asked himself. He is surrounded by darkness. He doesn't know where he is. But this darkness is endless. 

'I can feel my body? Where is this place? Or maybe I am blind? Or maybe I am dead?' Millions of questions flooded as Red thought.

Red can feel his body so he thought he was dead and going to reincarnation. But suddenly Red saw surrounding changing and there were seven shadows.

Red thought 'I am not blind. It seems this place is spooky. And who are these shadows? It seems like I have seen them but I can't remember. I can only see two of them and why are they looking like me and remaining 5 face is a blur.'

"Little one you have come here once again. As you seem don't know this place name is Eternal null." One of the shadows which have spiky hair said to Red.

"I have come here but I don't remember" Red was halfway talking cut by 2nd Shadow.

"Listen, friend, you should show respect to us. We are the Mark of 7 Sins."

Red has a foreboding that something is a miss. First because of the 'Mortal' word as it represents they are immortal and Second because of 'Sins' word as it's mostly related to the myth of the Seven Great Demon God. 

As Red thought it confusing that why did he not fear, panic or shock. Initially, when he saw this Darkness, he was calm like this is his home.

"Huh, We are not Demon God. Now now you don't have to worry we are not your enemy" Spiky hair shadows told.

"But we are also not your ally." The shadow that told Red to respect. 

"You can read my mind?." Red asked them

"Of course." Greed replied

Red did not respond because he is thinking all about this. Then suddenly spiky hair shadow said, "Now I should introduce myself I am Greed. We seven of us all are your 7 Marks of Sin"

Then Red caught off Guard that he is Greed. He also introduced Pride the shadow which told Red to respect. Then he introduces Lust, Envy, Gluttony, Sloth and lastly Wrath. Red can't see.

"Sorry to say can you answer my question why I am here? And what do you mean by Mark And I apologize for the inconvenience that I had created by asking this question." Red said to them. As he remembers Pride had said to respect them.

"It will be unpleasant to hear, but it will be good to learn." Pride was pleased by Red respect so he waves her hand toward Greed. 

"Geez, I don't like storytelling. But it seems you can't see the remaining Sins. No worry, Now from where I start. Let's start with a long story in short."

"10 years ago, there was a Demon Summoning ritual that was given to the Demon of Greed. You were the sacrifice for that summoning. But that sacrifice was failed. And you died but there is a problem you got the 7 marks of Sins as well as Virtues. So you were summoned in this Eternal Null. Then there was voting given by the Law that if your soul should destroy or resurrected. And guess what the result of voting? You have guessed?" Greed stop after this.

Red replied, "I was resurrected." Greed only nods his head that the guess was right. It was not difficult to guess.

"What are the Marks of Sins and Virtues?" Red asked to Greed as his interest was peaked. He can't read their emotion as they are shadows.

Then Greed replied with interest "In this world, every Being is marked by more than one of the 7 Sins or Virtues Marks. But there is very few being that is marked by all of them and we call them Marked. And we are Marks of you?

"So is there a problem with marked by all 14 of them," Red asked. But he suddenly hears the voice which is not of Greed. It is really difficult to tell who's the voice was.

"There is, To put it simply all 14 Sins and Virtues are neutral existence and represents single Sins and Virtues. As they are just Conceptual Beings, it's not that much problem but you have marked by 14 such existences and you are Mortal Being. They are beings only care about their ideology nothing more. So your existence makes unbalance as you can also be considered as Neutral Existence."

Red was looking from where is this voice coming from? And he notices 7 lights as he thought and he can only see the man that answered him. And then he introduced them to him.

"I am Justice. We seven of us are all your Mark of Virtues" The who answers Red question he has the same appearance as me.

And he introduced Purity, Wisdom, Patience, Covenant, Hope, and Charity.

"You cannot see us as we are just a Mark of yours or you can also consider your natural part of your soul. We do not have any particular form." Justice said to Red and then continued.

"Then why I can only see you?" Red asks them.

When justice hears that he frown and glare at Greed. Then Greed said, "Don't be angry I was going to tell him about that. Now We should continue your story." Greed was avoiding this topic. So Red just ignores his previous question and listens to him.

"After the voting result majority for your resurrection and minority for the destruction of the soul. And now you should know why was that you can't reincarnate? As you know you can be considered a Neutral Existence, in fact, every being can be considered as this. So Law wants to know where you worthy enough to be given the chance to become existence like us. Beware that Law was created by Creator you know her as a 'System'."

Greed was cut in between with the voice of Child.

[Now I will explain to him you should just shut it. Hello, bumpkin, My name is Noria, Daughter of Law and Queen of Eternal Null.]

Red can not find her from where she is talking? he even thought 'This is a bad dream or I am mad.'

[No you are not mad and also this not a dream. And I am talking to you with telepathic. I don't have any form. Hey wait a minute I have already explained this to you.]

Red reply in mind 'I don't remember anything.'

[Why where was I here again? Yes, Now I remember I was explaining to you. By the Law of Creator, any being cannot have only one Mark of Sin or Virtue and Any being that have all 7 Marks of Sins as well as Virtues they can have the chance to gain True Immortality.]

Noria was like a child that forgot something then after some thinking, they will give you a reply.

Red thought that he is dreaming.

Just think if someday any person told you that you have a chance to be an Immortal what you would do? Of course, you will reply "Fuck off."

In this world, even Ranker can't dare to say that they are immortal. But Red can't say anything about now so he has to wait. As he has not ventured this world. 

"So why do you even have to resurrect me just simply give me the chance of being Immortal," Red asked Noria.

[Bastard, You are asking Immortality like it is an apple on the tree. In this whole universe, I dare say there are less than 10 True Immortals. Even many Gods are only Immortals, not True Immortals.] Noria cursed.

"What is the difference between Immortals and True Immortals?"

And her eerily laughter sent a shiver me. Then there was total silence. It can be seen that they are waiting for something.

Red knows True Death. It means Destruction of Soul. As he thought he question himself and he got only one answer that he wants now. The first question was why they resurrected him. This question was simple 10 years ago. He was a 6-7-year-old child so it's impossible to know where it was good to give him True Immortality so they wanted to know about me. Then I got the second question Can't they just kill me?

Third question why do they choose it's now, why not tomorrow? I don't know if this question.

Fourth question why and who sacrifice me to Demon in my first life?

The fifth question where is my family? Are they alive? There were more question Red make a note if he survives then he will find out about it. Red felt something weird as more time passes as he feels tired.

After a few minutes, he heard a female cold and majestic voice.

{Greeting to all my Dear Descendants of Law. Today is a great day, and I hope everyone is prepared. Now Start the voting.}

Red heard Noria's voice.

[She was a Creator. See it's a big deal to give True Immortality even Creator has to appear. Now It seems Creator has no problem with you. So I will reply to your question about Immortals and True Immortals.]

[There are only nine True Immortals and there are billions of Immortal. Except Conceptual being every being will die one day even Immortal but they can rebirth. True Immortal can't die. And True Immortal has Authority.]

"Fuck." Red cursed now he understood the problem. As he thought 'It means Creator has no problem as now my life and death are under the hands of True Immortals. So what happened If she has a problem with me? I will already be dead.'

[Now you totally understand the True Immortals are the ones that will vote for your life and death. And they are now checking your whole life from your resurrection. You are the only idiot I have known that died twice by Demon Summoning Ritual. But just this time Summoning Ritual is for Demon of Pride. It means your life is fucked. ]

"EH, what do you mean by dying?"

Red asked her.

"Crap I forget to tell you that you were died by Demon Summoning Ritual."

[Hahaha, your life becomes such a joke in one day and it seems you don't know anything about that?] Noria laughed at Red bad luck.

If Red can see Noria, he will thrash her. Now he is very angry. Red thought 'It seems like they are playing the game. It's not a joke, but I figure one more thing that they are not emphatic toward mortals.'

The Greed said seriously, "Not only you but the whole city was used for Demon Summoning. And you got that right whole city is destroyed and Demon Summoning failed."

Red asked Greed "Why did it happen? "

Greed felt that Red will outburst at any moment. People who know about Greed will be flabbergasted as Greed is known for his greedy nature. He is not showing his true nature.

Greed replied with some hesitation "As you know your city mayor that he was aged and he wants to upgrade from Rank 3 to Rank 4. So he can get a few more years."

Red question her "How do you know about this?" Greed does not give any reply just silently staring me.

Red knows what Greed told him was more than enough as it seems he will not answer anymore. So he quieted now he only wanted his result. That is 99% True Death as he had not done anything but Red felt he still wants to live.

Red thought 'Many people will happy to sit on my position because there is a chance of True Immortality. This is the reason that many people want to become High Rankers as they will gain more years to live.'

Red thought many ways how can he survive this situation but always come to a dead end. Then he thought what was the point of gaining Immortality. Because they are afraid of Death. Even mortals can be reincarnated. So what's the point of this? He could not find any answer.

This was the voice of the System of Law. Then a bright light was shot and Red can see there is a woman wore a black full gown with a full-face veil. Red can only see her eyes but it was pitch black. He gets the feeling if he watches her like this then he will die. Shaking with fear towards her. Red also heard Noria.

"Why is she here?"

Red can feel that even she was afraid of her. Then all Sins and Virtues suddenly bow down and said.

"Greetings Your Highness."

Red was spooked he doesn't know who was she? and what to do?

By slightly bowing his head Red greets her "Greetings Your Highness."
