118 Sabaody Archipelago and Bitter Realizations: Yhwach's Path to Progress

Scene Break - Location: Onboard Rowboat, En Route to Sabaody Archipelago

Yhwach sat at the helm of the rowboat, his gaze fixed on the horizon as he guided the vessel through the calm waters. The rhythmic sound of oars dipping into the ocean provided a soothing backdrop to his thoughts as he contemplated his next course of action.

As Yhwach navigated the waters with practiced ease, Ginjo's voice echoed within his mind, breaking the serene silence with its irreverent tone.

Ginjo: (Within Yhwach's mind) Hey, Yhwach, you sure rowing this time is a good idea? I mean, last time didn't exactly go according to plan, if you catch my drift.

Yhwach chuckled softly at Ginjo's jest, his grip firm on the oars as he maintained a steady course through the gentle swells.

Yhwach: (Mental Link) No mishaps thus far, Ginjo. Though I must admit, rowing across the open sea does have its challenges.

Ginjo's laughter rang out in response, his tone laced with amusement at Yhwach's understatement.

Ginjo: (Within Yhwach's mind) Ah, I can imagine. Just make sure you don't end up like last time, adrift in the middle of nowhere with no land in sight. That wouldn't be a good look for the King of the Quincy, now would it?

Yhwach rolled his eyes at Ginjo's teasing, his focus remaining steadfast as he continued to row toward his destination.

Yhwach: (Mental Link) Rest assured, Ginjo. I have no intention of repeating past mistakes. Besides, I have a map this time, courtesy of Mihawk. With any luck, I'll reach the Sabaody Archipelago without incident.

Ginjo's laughter subsided at Yhwach's reassurance, replaced by a grudging acknowledgment of his host's determination.

Ginjo: (Within Yhwach's mind) Fair enough, Yhwach. Just remember to keep an eye out for any unexpected surprises. You never know what might be lurking beneath the waves.

Yhwach nodded in agreement, his gaze sweeping over the tranquil waters as he remained vigilant for any signs of danger.

Yhwach's senses heightened as he felt the subtle disturbance beneath the water's surface. With a practiced ease, he adjusted his grip on the oars, readying himself for whatever lay ahead. As the shadow loomed closer, he braced himself for the encounter, his muscles tense with anticipation.

As the seconds stretched into tense anticipation, a looming shadow emerged from the depths, casting a foreboding silhouette against the azure waters. Yhwach's expression remained stoic, though a flicker of annoyance danced in his eyes at the interruption of their journey.

With a resigned sigh, Yhwach propelled himself into the air, his eyes narrowing in annoyance as he beheld the massive sea rabbit that had swallowed their rowboat whole. Ginjo's voice echoed in his mind, a mix of incredulity and amusement coloring his words.

Ginjo: (Within Yhwach's mind) Well, I'll be damned. That thing actually looks like a rabbit. What a strange world we find ourselves in, eh, Yhwach?

Yhwach's expression remained stoic as he descended back towards the water, his hand reaching out to grasp the sea beast's massive form. he pried open its jaws, retrieving the swallowed rowboat with a forceful tug.

As Yhwach retrieved the rowboat from the sea beast's jaws, his resolve hardened, and with a swift motion, he activated The Schrift, H - The Heat. Flames erupted from his fingertips, swirling and coalescing into a blazing inferno of immense heat.

Yhwach: Burner Finger 4

Pointing all of his fingers except his thumb forward, he created a large blade of fire with an elongated crossguard around his hand before slashing at the sea beast. The attack struck true, cleaving through the creature with precision as a massive explosion engulfed the surrounding area.

The sea beast let out a deafening roar of agony as it was severed in half, its cooked flesh sizzling from the intense heat. Yhwach wasted no time in retrieving chunks of the cooked rabbit sea meat, placing them on the rowboat with a mixture of satisfaction and disdain for the creature's audacity.

Ginjo's voice broke the silence once more, his tone tinged with curiosity as he contemplated Yhwach's unusual meal.

Ginjo: (Within Yhwach's mind) Well, this is a first. Rabbit meat from the sea? I wonder if it tastes any different from the land-dwelling variety. Not that I have much experience with rabbits, mind you.

Yhwach's lips curved into a wry smile at Ginjo's inquiry, his gaze flickering to the cooked meat before him.

Yhwach: (Mental Link) I suppose it's a culinary curiosity, Ginjo. A delicacy unique to these waters, perhaps. Regardless, it will sustain us on our journey to the Sabaody Archipelago. Let's make the most of it.

With the sea beast vanquished and the rowboat once again afloat, Yhwach resumed his position at the helm, his gaze fixed on the expanse of water ahead. The rhythmic motion of the oars cutting through the waves echoed in the quiet of their surroundings, a steady cadence to their journey.

Ginjo's voice interrupted the tranquility, breaking through the stillness with a note of curiosity.

Ginjo: (Within Yhwach's mind) Hey, Yhwach, why don't you give that sea rabbit meat a try? I'm curious to know how it tastes. It's not every day we get to sample something like this. You know, for science.

Yhwach paused in his rowing, considering Ginjo's suggestion for a moment before nodding in agreement. With a deliberate motion, he reached for a piece of the cooked sea rabbit meat, inspecting it briefly before bringing it to his lips.

Closing his eyes, Yhwach savored the flavor, allowing his senses to fully experience the unique taste of the sea rabbit meat. A hint of saltiness mingled with the smoky aroma of charred flesh, creating a surprisingly palatable combination.

Yhwach: (Mental Link) It's... interesting. The flavor is unlike anything I've tasted before. There's a richness to it, reminiscent of game meat, yet with a distinct brininess from the sea. It's certainly an acquired taste, but not unpleasant, though I can't say it compares to the delicacies we're accustomed to.

Ginjo's laughter echoed in Yhwach's mind, his amusement evident even through their mental link.

Ginjo: (Within Yhwach's mind) Well, at least it's edible. Who knows, maybe you'll develop a taste for sea rabbits by the time we reach Sabaody. Stranger things have happened, after all.

As the rowboat sailed onward, Yhwach's anticipation grew with each passing moment. The distant silhouette of the Sabaody Archipelago gradually took shape on the horizon.

In front of them, visible to the naked eye, a beautiful group of islands full of various bubbles appeared.

Sabaody Archipelago is located in front of the Red Line and in the middle of the Grand Line. It is near the Marineford where the Marine headquarters is located.

The world's largest mangrove, Yarukiman Mangrove has roots that are always exposed to water. Moreover, its extremely long roots can reach all the way to the bottom of the sea.

The whole archipelago which is composed of 79 islands is actually a massive mangrove forest growing out from the middle of the ocean with each tree of the forest serving as an island on which people live.

Scene Break - Location Skies of Sabaody Archipelago

In the skies above the islands were alive with activity. Zaegar, perched upon a fluffy cloud, savored a refreshing Piña Colada cocktail, enjoying the picturesque view spread out below him. The Fourth King and the Third King, however, were engaged in a rather less tranquil pursuit.

With feathers ruffled and beaks agape, the avian duo squared off against each other, their feathers flying in a flurry of motion as they exchanged heated blows. The Third King's wings beat furiously as he lunged forward, while the Fourth King countered with swift, precise strikes of his own.

Meanwhile, the First King and the Second King, seated comfortably beside Zaegar, observed the spectacle with a mixture of amusement and bemusement. As the chaos unfolded before them, they exchanged a knowing glance, their expressions masked by a veil of intrigue.

First King: Quite the commotion they've got themselves into, wouldn't ya say?

Second King: Indeed. It seems their petty squabbles never cease to entertain.

Zaegar, taking a leisurely sip of his cocktail, couldn't help but chuckle at the sight before him. With a mischievous grin, he turned to his fellow kings, his eyes twinkling with mischief.

Zaegar: So, what's the plan now, bitches?

The First King and the Second King exchanged a bemused glance, their amusement evident as they regarded Zaegar with fond exasperation.

First King: Oh, I don't know, perhaps we could join in the fray and add a little chaos to the mix?

Second King: Or perhaps we could sit back and enjoy the show, as we always do.

Zaegar's grin widened at their banter, his gaze flitting between his fellow kings with a sense of camaraderie.

Zaegar: Ah, decisions, decisions. Well, whatever we choose, I'm sure it'll be a blast. After all, where's the fun in following the rules?

Scene Break

As the rowboat approached the Sabaody Archipelago, Yhwach's keen eyes scanned the horizon, taking in the sight of the beautiful group of islands adorned with various bubbles. But amidst the breathtaking scenery, one particular sight caught his attention—a thick tree trunk with the distinct mark of "55" carved into its bark.

Ginjo: (Within Yhwach's mind) Hey, Yhwach, check out that tree with the number 55. Now, call me crazy, but doesn't that seem a bit... odd? I mean, what's so special about that tree? Maybe it's hiding some juicy secrets or a stash of treasure. Wouldn't that be a sight to see?

Yhwach regarded the marked tree trunk with a thoughtful expression, his mind already analyzing the significance of the number 55. Though he found Ginjo's speculation amusing, he couldn't help but feel a sense of intrigue about the marked tree himself.

Yhwach: (Mental Link) Indeed, Ginjo. It does seem rather conspicuous, doesn't it? Perhaps there's more to this particular tree than meets the eye. Let's indulge our curiosity and see where this path leads.

With practiced skill, Yhwach steered the rowboat towards the shipyard areas surrounding Sabaody, where coating mechanics were known to operate. The bustling activity of the port greeted them as they drew nearer, ships of all shapes and sizes dotting the harbor.

Yhwach steered the rowboat towards the nearest dock, his movements deliberate as he prepared to disembark onto the archipelago's shores. Ginjo's voice echoed in his mind, a mixture of excitement and curiosity coloring his words.

Ginjo: (Within Yhwach's mind) Well, would you look at that? We've finally arrived at Sabaody Archipelago. Time to find those coating mechanics and get this rowboat ready for the deep sea.

As the rowboat glided smoothly into position, Yhwach stood up, his muscles flexing with the motion as he prepared to step onto the solid ground once more. But as he glanced around, he noticed something peculiar—a bewildered local, their eyes wide with disbelief, staring directly at him.

Yhwach paused, a furrow forming on his brow as he regarded the bewildered individual before him. It was clear that something about his presence had caught the attention of the onlooker, though the reason remained unclear.

The local's gaze shifted between Yhwach and the rowboat, a mixture of confusion and curiosity evident in their expression. Yhwach couldn't help but feel a sense of bemusement at the unexpected reaction, his mind racing to comprehend the source of the bewilderment.

Yhwach: (Mental Link) Curious. It seems we've attracted some attention, Ginjo. Though I must admit, I find it peculiar that a simple arrival by rowboat would garner such interest.

Ginjo's voice echoed in Yhwach's mind, a note of amusement evident in his words as he responded to the situation at hand.

Ginjo: (Within Yhwach's mind) Well, well, well. Looks like we've become the talk of the town, Yhwach. Can't say I'm surprised, though. I mean, how often do you see an old man arriving at Sabaody Archipelago via a rowboat?

The local's gaze was still glued to Yhwach and the rowboat behind him, his expression a mix of disbelief and curiosity. After a moment of silent scrutiny, he finally spoke, his voice tinged with incredulity.

Local: Excuse me, sir, but... are you... using a rowboat to reach Sabaody?

Yhwach's confusion deepened at the local's question, his mind racing to understand the source of the man's astonishment. It seemed that his mode of transportation had sparked some level of incredulity among the locals.

Yhwach: Indeed, I am. Is there a problem with that?

The local's eyes widened further at Yhwach's response, clearly taken aback by his nonchalant demeanor. After a moment of stunned silence, he shook his head, as if trying to clear his thoughts.

Local: N-no, no problem at all, sir. It's just... well, it's not every day we see someone like yourself arriving in Sabaody by rowboat. Most people opt for more... conventional means of transportation if you catch my drift.

Yhwach regarded the bewildered local with a bemused expression, his mind already contemplating the next course of action. Ignoring the man's lingering incredulity, he straightened his posture and addressed him once more.

Yhwach: How much would it cost to have my rowboat coated for deep-sea travel?

The local hesitated for a moment, clearly caught off guard by the request. He fumbled with his words before finally responding.

Local: Um... well, I'm not exactly sure. It depends on the size of the boat and the materials needed for the coating. I'd have to check with the coating mechanics for an accurate estimate.

Yhwach nodded as he considered the local's response. Without another word, he reached into his pocket and withdrew a handful of Lien coins, the currency of another world entirely—Remnant, from the world of RWBY.

Yhwach: Here. Take this as payment.

The local's eyes widened in confusion as he examined the unfamiliar currency, clearly perplexed by its origin and value.

Local: Uh, sir, I'm not sure what this is... We use Berries here as currency.

Yhwach's expression darkened slightly as he realized his mistake. With a resigned sigh, he retrieved the Lien coins from the bewildered local's hand, his demeanor one of quiet frustration.

Yhwach: (Mental Link) Perhaps turning myself in to claim the bounty on my head would have been the simpler option after all, Ginjo.

Ginjo's voice chimed in within Yhwach's mind, his tone light but tinged with a hint of amusement at Yhwach's predicament.

Ginjo: (Within Yhwach's mind) Ah, come on, Yhwach. Don't be so hard on yourself. You know what they say: every mistake is a lesson learned. Besides, it's not like we're short on options. We'll figure something out, just like we always do. Besides, it's not every day we get to witness the confusion of the locals when presented with currency from another world. Makes for quite a memorable experience, wouldn't you say?

Yhwach listened to Ginjo's words, a hint of irritation still lingering in his expression. Yet, there was a begrudging acceptance of the situation, knowing that their journey always carried unexpected twists and turns.

Yhwach: (Mental Link) Indeed, Ginjo. Every misstep is an opportunity for growth. And you're right, we always find a way forward, no matter the circumstances.

With a nod, Yhwach turned his attention back to the bewildered local.

Yhwach: I appreciate your assistance. Rest assured, I'll find a way to acquire the necessary services. Whether through conventional means or otherwise, I will ensure that my rowboat is coated for deep-sea travel.

Turning on his heel, Yhwach began to walk away from the dock, his cloak billowing behind him in the ocean breeze. But before he disappeared from view, he cast one last glance over his shoulder, his eyes locking with the bewildered locals.

Yhwach: And as for the payment... rest assured, I'll be back to claim what's mine, one way or another.

As Yhwach disappeared from view, the bewildered locals couldn't shake the feeling of unease that settled over them. A chill ran down their spines as they exchanged nervous glances, the memory of the Quincy king's ominous parting words lingering in their minds.

Meanwhile, aboard the rowboat, Yhwach let out a resigned sigh, his frustration evident as he ran a hand through his silver hair. Ginjo's voice echoed in his mind, a note of sarcasm coloring his words as he suggested an alternative means of acquiring the necessary funds.

Ginjo: (Within Yhwach's mind) Well, well, well, looks like we've hit a bit of a snag, Yhwach. But hey, who needs conventional means of payment when you can just go bounty hunting? With your skills, I'm sure we could rack up quite the bounty in no time.

Yhwach's expression darkened at Ginjo's suggestion, his gaze narrowing slightly as he contemplated the implications of such a venture. It was true that he possessed formidable abilities that could prove valuable in bounty hunting, but there was one significant obstacle standing in his way—the bounty on his own head.

Yhwach: (Mental Link) Bounty hunting, you say? As appealing as that sounds, I'm afraid I'm not exactly in a position to collect bounties at the moment.

Ginjo's laughter echoed in Yhwach's mind, his tone laced with amusement as he teased the Quincy king about his predicament.

Ginjo: (Within Yhwach's mind) Oh, right. I almost forgot about that little detail. Kind of hard to collect bounties when you're the one with a bounty on your head, isn't it? Well, looks like we'll have to come up with another plan, then.

Yhwach nodded in agreement, his mind already contemplating the next course of action. With a determined expression, he turned his gaze towards the bustling streets of Sabaody, his resolve unwavering despite the setbacks they had encountered.

Yhwach: (Mental Link) Indeed. We'll have to think outside the box, as they say. But rest assured, we'll find a way to acquire the necessary funds. Whether through legitimate means or otherwise, I will ensure that my rowboat is coated for deep-sea travel.

With that, Yhwach set off into the crowded streets of Sabaody, his cloak billowing behind him as he disappeared into the bustling throng of people.

As Yhwach made his way through the crowded streets of Sabaody, his senses on high alert, he couldn't shake the feeling that he was being followed. Every so often, he caught glimpses of shadowy figures darting in and out of alleyways, their presence unmistakable despite their attempts at stealth.

Ginjo: (Within Yhwach's mind) Hey, Yhwach, you feeling those eyes on us? I'd say we've got ourselves a couple of stalkers. What do you say we give them a little surprise?

Yhwach's lips curved into a knowing smile at Ginjo's observation, his senses honed to detect any potential threats lurking in the shadows.

Yhwach: (Mental Link) Indeed, Ginjo. It appears we've attracted some attention. No doubt they're hoping to catch us off guard. Let's not disappoint them, shall we?

his eyes scanning the area for a suitable location to confront their pursuers. Spotting a secluded alleyway with a few bystanders, he nodded in agreement and altered his course, leading them toward the deserted area.

As they reached the empty alley, Yhwach came to a halt, his senses on high alert as he turned to face their unseen adversaries. With a quick glance behind him, he confirmed his suspicions—a group of individuals, armed and poised for action, had been tailing them all along.

Ginjo's laughter echoed in Yhwach's mind, his amusement evident as he observed the unfolding situation from within.

Ginjo: (Within Yhwach's mind) Well, well, well, looks like we've got ourselves a welcoming committee. And here I was, thinking we'd have a quiet stroll through the city.

Yhwach's smirk widened at Ginjo's jest, his gaze sweeping over the group of would-be kidnappers with a mixture of disdain and amusement. Without a word, he continued walking past them, his posture relaxed and confident.

As Yhwach strode past the group of kidnappers, their leader couldn't contain his outrage at being ignored. With a furious shout, he rallied his comrades to action, their weapons raised in a futile attempt to intimidate the Quincy king.

Kidnapper Leader: How dare that old man pass us so arrogantly! If we don't capture him, we can't call ourselves kidnappers!

Ginjo's laughter erupted in Yhwach's mind, his amusement unbridled at the kidnapper's indignant outburst.

Ginjo: (Within Yhwach's mind) Ha! You hear that, Yhwach? These guys think they're hot stuff just because they've got a few rusty weapons and a bad attitude. Well, let's show them what happens when you mess with the King of the Quincy, shall we?

Yhwach's lips curled into a wry smile at Ginjo's words, his gaze flickering over the group of would-be kidnappers with a mixture of disdain and amusement.

Yhwach: (Mental Link) Indeed, Ginjo. It seems these fools need a lesson in humility. Let's make it quick.

With a dismissive wave of his hand, Yhwach continued walking, his footsteps echoing in the deserted alley as he left the bewildered kidnappers behind. Unfazed by their futile attempts to capture him.

As Yhwach continued walking through the alley, one of the kidnappers, growing increasingly desperate, stepped forward and raised his gun, pointing it directly at Yhwach's back. The click of the hammer being cocked echoed through the narrow passageway, drawing the attention of nearby pedestrians who quickly hurried away, sensing trouble.

Kidnapper: You think you can just waltz through here without consequences, old man? Think again!

Yhwach came to a halt, his movements deliberate as he slowly turned to face the kidnapper, his expression one of calm authority. His gaze locked onto the barrel of the gun, unwavering despite the imminent threat.

Yhwach: Do you know what pointing a gun at someone signifies?

The kidnapper's bravado faltered slightly at Yhwach's question, uncertainty flickering in his eyes. He had expected fear or compliance from his target, not this composed defiance.

Kidnapper: It means I'm not afraid to pull the trigger if you don't cooperate. Now, hand over your valuables, old man, or else...

Yhwach's lips curved into a wry smile at the kidnapper's response, his amusement was evident despite the gravity of the situation.

Yhwach: Ah, but you see, that's where you're mistaken. Pointing a gun at someone signifies one of two things—either you're willing to use it, or you're bluffing. Judging by the hesitation in your voice, I'd wager you're not quite as confident in your resolve as you'd like to believe.

The kidnapper's grip on the gun tightened, his knuckles turning white as he struggled to maintain his composure in the face of Yhwach's unwavering gaze. He had expected compliance or fear, not this calm defiance that seemed to chip away at his confidence with each passing moment.

Kidnapper: You think you're so clever, old man? We'll see how tough you are when I pull this trigger!

With a swift motion, the kidnapper squeezed the trigger, the deafening sound of gunfire echoing through the alley as the bullet hurtled toward Yhwach with deadly intent. But to the kidnapper's shock and dismay, Yhwach remained unharmed, a shimmering barrier of Reishi manifesting around him, deflecting the bullet with ease.

Yhwach's smile widened at the kidnapper's disbelief, his expression one of quiet satisfaction as he regarded his would-be assailant.

Yhwach: It seems your aim could use some work. But don't worry, I'm more than happy to lend you a hand... or perhaps a lesson in marksmanship would be more appropriate?

With a flick of his wrist, Yhwach summoned a small orb of Reishi into his palm, the energy crackling with latent power as he prepared to demonstrate his own proficiency with a gun. The kidnapper's eyes widened in terror at the sight, realizing too late the grave mistake he had made in underestimating the Quincy king.

Kidnapper: W-wait, please! I didn't mean—

Before the kidnapper could finish his plea, Yhwach raised his hand, his expression unreadable as he prepared to teach the foolish assailant a lesson he wouldn't soon forget.

As the kidnapper's plea fell on deaf ears, Yhwach's expression hardened, his eyes ablaze with an intensity that sent a shiver down the spine of even the most hardened criminal. Without a word, he unleashed the full extent of his power, a torrent of Reishi energy engulfing the alleyway in a blinding flash of light.

The bystanders, frozen in shock and horror, watched helplessly as Yhwach effortlessly dispatched the kidnappers with ruthless efficiency. Each strike was precise, each movement deliberate, as he left no room for mercy in his relentless onslaught.

Ginjo's voice echoed in Yhwach's mind, a note of satisfaction evident in his words as he observed the Quincy king's merciless display.

Ginjo: (Within Yhwach's mind) Now that's what I'm talking about, Yhwach! Show these fools what happens when you mess with the King of the Quincy! Let 'em know that there's no escaping justice, no matter how hard they try.

Yhwach's lips curled into a grim smile at Ginjo's words, his focus unwavering as he continued to dispatch the kidnappers with swift, precise strikes. With each blow, he reinforced the message that he was not to be trifled with.

As the last of the kidnappers fell to the ground, defeated and broken, Yhwach turned to face the traumatized bystanders, his gaze piercing through their shock with a steely resolve.

Ginjo's laughter echoed in Yhwach's mind, his tone filled with dark amusement as he commented on the bystanders' traumatized expressions.

Ginjo: (Within Yhwach's mind) Well, I'd say that was quite the spectacle, wouldn't you? Those poor bystanders won't be forgetting this anytime soon. But hey, at least they got a front-row seat to the main event, courtesy of the King of the Quincy.

Yhwach: There is nothing to see here. Go about your business and forget what you witnessed.

The bystanders nodded in silent agreement, their expressions haunted by the violence they had just witnessed. With trembling hands and averted eyes, they quickly dispersed, eager to escape the scene of carnage that had unfolded before them.

Yhwach watched them go with a sense of grim satisfaction, his mind already turning to the next course of action. With the kidnappers dealt with and the bystanders silenced, he knew that he could finally focus on acquiring the funds needed to coat his rowboat for deep-sea travel.

Ginjo's laughter echoed in Yhwach's mind, his tone tinged with amusement at the Quincy king's ruthless efficiency.

Ginjo: (Within Yhwach's mind) Well, that was certainly one way to handle things, Yhwach. Can't say I'm surprised, though. When it comes to dealing with troublemakers, you don't mess around. But hey, at least now we can get back to business without any distractions, right?

Yhwach nodded in agreement as he remained focused on his ultimate goal—acquiring the necessary funds to coat his rowboat for deep-sea travel.

Unbeknownst to Yhwach and Zaegar, in the waters surrounding the Sabaody Archipelago, two vessels, one imposing and the other modest, charted their course toward a shared destination.

At the top of the mast sail, a flag displayed a skull symbol wearing a straw hat—a clear indicator that this ship belonged to a notorious pirate crew.

This group of pirates was also among the most feared and infamous pirate groups of Worst Generations—the Straw Hat Pirates, led by Monkey D. Luffy, Like Yhwach, Luffy bore a bounty, a bounty of 300 Million Berries.
