27 Talk About Something Important.

"Oh hi, Landon. Care to share your meal?" Greta snatched the spoon Nicki was with and the food in it dropped in the process. 

"Nadia" Nicki lifted her face and was surprised to discover Greta was even the one that forcefully grabbed the spoon away from her. Nadia's name mistakenly slipped off her mouth, and at the moment she had thought Nadia was the one, and not Greta since Nadia was the first troublemaker, she had an encounter with.

"Greta, not Nadia but she will be coming over soon because she insists on eating together with you guys today" Greta corrected Nicki and then turned to check out if Nadia was nearby.

"Can you just leave us alone, Greta? We prefer to eat in peace, you don't have to be an inconvenience to everyone in this academy" Ariana chipped in, she stopped with her food to save Nicki from the trouble that came looking for her. 

"Oh hi, Ariana, I didn't know you were just there. Well, that's so silly of me, I should have known you would be here since lately you've been hanging out with our Alpha's next Luna" Greta shifted her attention to Ariana with a smile after pretending not to have seen her in the first place, when she actually did, on her way over here.

"Alpha's next Luna? Seriously? Are you kidding me, Greta? Come on, yesterday you even called me his concubine" Nicki stared at Greta in disbelief and rubbed her forehead. This again? She currently wasn't in the mood for anyone's bullshit right now.

"You are right, I told you I will call you whatever I wanted to" Greta winked at Nicki and giggled like a baby.

"Yesterday? You met with her yesterday?" Ariana was surprised, learning Nicki and Greta had some kind of encounter yesterday.

"Yeah, I did, Ari. I might have kind of forgotten to tell you this morning. Yesterday, after we stopped at your room and I was heading over to mine, she appeared out of nowhere with Nadia and it happened to be the most unpleasant encounter I think I will ever have here, ugh" Nicki sighed in disgust to show both Ariana and Greta she seriously meant what she said. 

"Well, that's what you think, Landon. But I think the encounter with you yesterday was fun, the only thing that ruined it was Nadia getting in my way" Greta made known to Nicki and dropped the spoon she was still holding, on the table, far from Nicki's reach.

"Can you hand over the spoon? it wasn't cool to snatch it away. I didn't even want to eat in the first place but I did and now I want to continue with it," Nicki outstretched her hand to receive the spoon from Greta.

"No, I told you Nadia insists on eating together with you guys today, so you have to wait for her and you too," In a jiffy and before Ariana's eyes, Greta swiftly grabbed the spoon away from her and kept it next to the one she snatched away from Nicki too and kept it beside her. 

"Seriously Greta?, Just get lost" Ariana was irked by Greta's act and instantly wanted her to leave.

"Isn't there anyone watching this? I thought you said there are cameras in here?" Nicki could have found another spoon to eat with but became fed up with Greta when she grabbed Ariana's spoon too. What is wrong with her? What is her problem?

"Oh, you mean like the Alpha watching this? No Landon, you are being watched but not by him, so don't think he will be rushing in here to save your ass and treat you like a princess. He already did enough when you were handed over the Luna's Lounge" Greta spat viciously and Nicki sensed jealousy. She should have known Greta was just jealous of what she had and probably her too.

"Now, I know what your problem with me is," Nicki said, she heaved in a deep breath and proceeded.

"Look, I get why you called me the Alpha's next Luna and concubine now and whatever you are going to call me next, but it's not like what you guys think. I've recently been getting a lot of awkward stares from anywhere I go in here. But, I'm just like you, the rumors aren't true, and I'm not getting any special treatment from the Alpha. If I was, I wouldn't even be sitting here to eat together with you guys because I rarely associate with people. I was just an ordinary human with cancer before I got bitten….."

"Wait, you were human?..." Greta's eyes widened, the moment she realized what she just heard from Nicki. She said she was human right now. Or did Greta hear incorrectly?

"Yeah, I was... human" Nicki paused when Ariana softly kicked her leg under the table. "What?" She stared in question as to why Ari gave her that kick.

"You shouldn't have said that, you should have just ended it with something else," Ariana whispered and Nicki got a little scared, wondering if she did wrong by letting Greta know she used to be human before she got turned.

Was she supposed to not let her know?

"Oh my God, this is going to be so epic when everyone finds out you don't belong here, Landon. You are an outcast" Greta said the hurtful words that made Ariana angrily get on her feet to make her apologize.

"Stop it, Greta! You are being cruel, apologize" She ordered with a stern voice.

"And what if I don't want to? It hurts but I only said the truth, it's not like she will be the first human that got turned and won't last here like her types don't" Greta refused to offer Nicki an apology, she instead continued with her cruelty. 

"It's quite sad that you had cancer but it wasn't going to make me feel sympathetic towards you, I think you should have just stayed that way rather than go chasing after the Alpha to bite you and then bring you here. That was a mistake"

"I said stop it, Greta!" Ariana warned for the second time, she stole a glance at Nicki and she didn't look sad, but Ariana knew she was hurt by Greta's words but chose not to react. 

"What is going on here, Greta?" Everyone diverted their attention toward Nadia, who just came out of nowhere and was standing behind her friend.

"Nothing, I stopped them from eating so we can all eat together when you get here as you wanted to, Nadi," Greta swiftly covered up her wrongdoing with lies after Nadia made an appearance.

"Oh, you did well. I brought yours, now we can all eat together," Nadia bought Greta's lie and placed the food she brought on the table. "This must be yours and this one yours" She grabbed the spoons she saw was beside Greta and gently placed it beside Nicki and Ariana figuring out it must be theirs. 

Greta knew just the right way to make them stop eating and wait for her.

"Sorry, if you guys are feeling uncomfortable with this, I do too, but I found out this was the nicest spot anyone could eat peacefully. That's why Ariana always stays here" Nadia settled down on the chair next to Nicki while Greta crossed over the table using her butt to sit next to Ariana, she figured out she could get attacked if she chose to sit beside Nicki.

"Now, let's talk about something important, starting with what happened with you guys and my Noah yesterday"
