chapt 2: the dream and the reality that ruined it

aledaile bridge,fellis city country of nechi

may 23rd 2003

a man was crossing the aledaile bridge,when he saw a girl across the guardrail seemingly wanting to jump and commit suicide

the man thought it'd be non of his business,but still he ran to save the girl

he managed to catch her hand in the brink of time...as he tried to pull her up he saw her face a cold soulless face with not an ounce of hope left...

after he managed to lift her up he tried to catch his breath

he thought to himself "I need more exercise"

after a while the girl asked him with a deadly glare "why... why'd you save me?"

he answered "I don't know...I just felt like I needed to"

the girl kept repeating "why"

so thinking the girl lost her sanity the man slapped her and said

"because I felt like I needed to"

then the girl cried...

the man felt bad and apologized for what he did

the girl replied "I'm sorry...it's okay, it's my fault"

the man got curious and asked why'd she wanted to suicide

she answered... "because...I felt like doing it..."

the man later noticed her ragged clothes,wounds and scratches all over her body...

he thought to himself "maybe...I should help her"

he offered the girl food,shelter and proper clothing

the girl gladly accepted...

a good amount of time later...

they both went to cross the same bridge as before with a happy smile on their face as they feel nostalgia of what happened before

the girl asked once again after a long time "why'd you save me?"

he answered the same as before

"because I felt like it"

the girl pouted and said "just tell me the truth"

and so he answered "at first...it was just because I felt like doing so...then after I saw how much you suffered and your actual reason...I knew I had to help you"

the girl giggled and said "that's a stupid reason"

the man shouted "hey!,you asked!"

"tho,I am glad that you stayed with me after that..."

the girl blushed and smiled "yeah...I am glad"

the girl tried to kiss him but she hesitated at the last moment...

then...the man kissed her

she felt surprised yet in the end happy...

the man closed his eyes with tears of joy...

then I woke up

it broke my heart to know it was just a dream...

I tried to sleep repeatedly...

but I never did see her again...

after a few weeks of hunger and dehydration caused by depression I decided to visit the aledaile bridge...

I knew she wasn't there yet I hoped...

and she really wasn't...

and so I crossed the bridge's guardrail thinking...

"would she do the same?"...
