All White

Inside a dimly lit room, a long raven haired child is held down on a table covered table. Situated in the middle of a largely empty room with two identical men on either side. One of the men wore an extremely empathetic expression on his face as he faced the young boy.

" It's going to be okay... Don't be afraid, I'll be here..."

" I understand, father. I'll be strong."

Hearing his son speaking such words at his age brought tears to his eyes. Unfortunately there was absolutely nothing he or anyone else could do to avoid what was to come. Just then the other man placed the palm of his right hand on the boys forehead.

" SEAL!"

As that single word escaped his mouth, a bright green bolt of light transferred from his palm and struck the boys forehead.

" AAARRGHHHH!!"

Wailed the child as wave after wave of unfiltered pain flowed through his entire head. His father tried to hold him down, but the pain made the boy instinctively thrash around. Thankfully the pain reached a critical enough point that the boy lost consciousness. After which his father embraced him tightly while the other man briefly looked at the father son duo before walking away.

It would not be until several hours later that the boy would awaken. The reason being that all branch family members were to be present at the main family's heir presentation. While definitely not feeling well enough to stand up, the boy forced himself to. For today was probably the most important day of this improbable second life.

In his previous life and world he was Myles Cruz, however as of three years ago he became Neji Hyūga. The unfortunate genius of the famous Hyūga Clan of Konohagakure, main setting of the Naruto Series.

The importance of today, came from the sinister act that was to take place later on. Act which the young and very much exhausted Neji would have to impede.

Wobbling towards the Main family's Quarters, he recalled the flashback revealing the perpetuators face. The head ninja from Kumogakure, that was whom he'd have to get rid off. Who he got wind off would be making an appearance at the ceremony along side the Third Hokage.

Arriving where the ceremony would take place, Neji instantly scanned the entire place for the Hidden Cloud Shinobi. An easy task seeing as their grey/red attire stood out amongst the pure white of the Hyūga clansmen and blue/green of the Hidden Leaf Shinobi. Marking his target he found his father, walked towards him and stood silently by his side.

" Neji, are you alright. Does your forehead still hurt?"

" I'm okay, father. It doesn't hurt."

Not trying to minimize or undermine his son's bravery Hizashi patted his son off the shoulder.

The ceremony began shortly thereafter, although not before the Hokage announced the signing of a peace treaty with Kumogakure. Which was met with gentle claps and low cheers given the ceremonial atmosphere. As for Neji he inwardly scoffed at the Hokage's ignorance and vowed to stop their sinister plan.

Once the ceremony was over with, the Hyūga Clansmen weren't allowed to mingle amongst themselves. However with signing of the peace treaty earlier today and playing host to other guests this rule was nulled.

This was exactly what Neji was waiting for, making a direct bee line towards his younger cousin and recently made clan heir, Hinata Hyūga.

She was the crux of his plan, it was also for this reason that he played his part of dutiful branch member. In order to not be seen as a threat to his cousin, who he now needed to play the part of damsel in distress. It wasn't an overly complicated plan, all that was to occur was for her to be grabbed in front of the Hokage.

While in the anime, it's explained that the Hokage understood the situation that happens. The actions he took were those of someone trying to save face in front of the other villagers. Why else would he condem an innocent man, from his own village to be put to death for the crimes of an outsider. Maybe in the anime he could defend his decision with vauge details. However that wouldn't work if the act was done in front of not only the Hyūga Clan, Hidden Leaf Shinobi, but also the Hokage himself.

First of all Neji had one of Hinata's attendants inform her that he wanted to talk to her in the nearby garden. This was a rather secluded area of the Hyūga Estate where hardly anyone came across.

While she headed over there, Neji was to casually walk by the Hidden Cloud Shinobi and mention not finding Hinata. The selling point of the lie, was specifically mentioning that he would be punished if he couldn't find her. Hearing this they'd obviously believe that her current whereabouts are unknown by any of the Hyūga Clansmen.

Acting upon this fortunate information they'd hopefully excuse themselves from the event in search of the missing Hinata. Of worse were to come they'd simply say they found her wondering around the estate and we're bringing her back.

Being highly trained ninjas it wouldn't take them much effort to locate a little three year old girl. Of course doing so in a secluded area they weren't seen by any of the guests. So when they surrounded the unsuspecting Hinata they imagined they'd succeeded in their covert mission. At least that was the case for a few seconds, before a high pitch voiced rang behind them.

" Hey, old man think fast!"

A razor sharp Kunai flew directly at the Head Ninjas right eye, currently his only working eye. Still, the Kinai was thrown by a small weak child so it was relatively slow. Slow enough that he effortlessly grabbed it mid air before it reached him. At which point he expected the child to be wide-eyed and wear an expression of utter horror. Yet what he saw was Neji grinning from ear to ear as he closed his eyes and fell back.

Presumably he'd fall on the ground, yet what actually happened was that his uncle and current head of the Hyūga Clan helped him up. That however wasn't the end, as behind him stood every leader of the other clans alongside the Third Hokage.

" It seems what the boy said was true, these scum were trying to kidnap the Hyūga Princess!"

Loudly shouted a tall redheaded man with a very large gut.

" It appears this was their true aim from the start. The peace treaty was most likely a cover for this exact moment."

Added a spikey haired man with a full gotee.

" Third Hokage, I ask that you give the order before I act without one."

Contrary to his usual calm demeanor, Neji's uncle Hiashi roared in an extremely furious tone,

" It's a sad day today, for more blood must be shed on both sides for your crimes."

That single line was all Hiashi and the rest of the Clan leaders needed before simultaneously wiping out the Cloud Shinobi.
