1. Awakening

At the Military Academy of Lu'an city, all the teachers and students gathered at the training ground.

Several Final year Students gathered together outside the Academy grounds facing towards the stage where the teachers and Head of the Academy Stood.

"We're about to awaken our professions. I'm feeling very anxious, i hope I can gain the warrior type profession. Then I can join the Warrior Guild. I'll definitely be able to survive when raiding a dungeon."

"phai! what's so good about being a warrior, all they do is swing their sword facing danger. The mage profession is much more powerful than a warrior. After all wouldn't it be easier to destroy the enemies with a spell?"

"Is that all? Where's your ambition? I want to awaken the Summoner profession. All I have to do is to summon a powerful creature, then all i have to do is lay back carefree while my summon will do all the work."

"Speaking of which, there's also a profession like the summoner right? I think it's called Necromancer."

"Tsk..Tsk..who wants to have a weak profession like that. If I know that is worst profession ever.

Even a little kid knows it has no potential, so who in the right mind would want to awaken the Necromancer profession."

In the Crowd, Hearing the discussions around him, Lin Feng clenched his hand, his expression very nervous.

After Coming to this world, his life turned upside down, he felt like, he was in a dream.

The world he Currently lives in is quite similar to his previous world but it is several times larger and bigger than his previous world. Some time in the past there was an anomaly in which several cave like structures and light portals came out of thin air around the entire world. The scientists have discovered that a mysterious energy came out of the portal and when they dared to venture into the portal only to discover a completely different place filled with monsters.

The Authorities kept this a secret and further investigations have been conducted to destroy this portals, they have tried bombing it with explosives and they even tried to nuked it but not single scratch has appeared on it.

The Authorities immediately evacuated everyone around the area and kept a close watch on the portal, and it lasted till six months then suddenly the ground began shaking and monsters came rushing out of the Gate and massacred everyone that came their way. All around the world events like this happened and soon the Government falled and very soon sixty percent of the population has been wiped out causing everyone to panic. And at the moment of crisis, a group of Awakened people who has powers came forward and helped to push back the monsters and have formed a large group of awakened people to resist the demon beasts and thus formed the first ever Guild.

After years of research, humans had used the power of the Gate to increase their strength and ofcourse it also has an abundance of resources.

At the same time by killing demonic beasts, one could gain Experience points. And with enough Experience points one could Level up to become stronger.

However, the premise was that one has to awaken a profession at the age of 16. If one could not awaken their profession then only a life full of misery awaits them, cause in this world danger lurks everywhere and only with enough strength will one be able to survive.

"Sigh.."

Lin Feng could only sigh weakly as he shook his head and looked at the front where the head of the Academy and the teachers stood infront of the crystal ball that floated in the air.

The crystal ball is also an item that has been obtained from the dungeon and it can help increase the chances of awakening.

On the stage Bai Chen curled his lips and nodded his head as if it was within his expectations and walked away from the stage proudly.

Seeing this Lin Feng's face twitched as this fellow Bai Chen is the person who always bullied and troubled Lin Feng, seeing him awakening a warrior profession only left a bad taste for Lin Feng.

Soon the students followed one after the other on the stage. Only a few people were not able to awaken making them depressed as they can only curse in their hearts for their bad luck.

There were many students infront of Lin Feng and he knew that he was the last in the line to Awaken.

Soon the line shortened and finally came his turn as he came to the stage and walked towards the Crystal ball and stopped infront of it.

"Place your hand on the crystal and try to fell the changes in you" said the instructor as he looked at Lin Feng.

"Huff... "

Lin Feng breathed out some air, he prepared himself for the result as he raised his hand and gently placed it on the crystal ball. It felt cold as he touched the ball and felt that a cold flow like energy enter his body and he seemed to be floating in darkness...

On the stage the instructor looked at Lin Feng and at the crystal ball and shook his head slightly and thought that he did not awakened and was about to anounce the results when suddenly there's a black and green glow on the crystal ball emitting a dense light as it entered Lin Feng's body.

'Student Lin Feng has awakened the Necromancer profession. The instructor announced loudly.'

The instructor gazed at the crystal keenly for a moment and thought he must have imagined seeing black flames cause only when a green color appears it indicates that one has awakened a Necromancer profession.

"Tsk..tsk.. whan an unlucky fellow to think he has awakened the trash Necromancer profession, soon he is going to suffer..."

"Yeah it is very difficult to advance to higher levels without sufficient strength, only if that person who awakened this profession is rich they can somewhat manage but this guy is a pauper..."

At this moment several figures turned to look at Lin Feng pitifully. Their gazes contained shock and disbelief filled in everyone as they watched Lin Feng.

But at this moment when Lin Feng slowly opened his eyes he did not care about the strange stares, but focused his eyes on the screen that has came out of thin air.

Lin Feng was dumbstruck and didn't expect this title effect to be so Overpowered.

He carefully checked and stopped at the second effect of the title and felt even more surprised because not only can he learn undead skill but also shadow related abilities.

The he looked at the skill that has been upgraded. he compared it before and after the upgrade, it has basically removed the limits on the number of Servents he can have.

Lin Feng can definitely say that given time he can become the strongest, because he has never heard anyone having the ability to control shadows and undead, this title is basically a god's gift to him...
