20 Simhyeol Hwando

With Ella asleep, Lucas whispered to himself in a hushed tone, careful not to awaken her, "I should check the system messages I've been ignoring."

Lucas stood up and sat on the edge of the bed, muttering softly, "System, show me the most recent notifications."

In response, the system displayed various messages on his screen.

Upon seeing the messages, Lucas remarked to himself, "It seems I've leveled up twice after the werewolf fight, and my regeneration skill has also improved."

He then scrolled down and continued, "Hmm, these two new skills are intriguing. I must have acquired them when I used mana."

[Acquired Mana Detection (G)]

[Acquired Mana Manipulation (G)]

Lucas, intrigued by the new skills, opened his skill panel within the status window to examine his proficiency skills, saying, "Open skills panel."

 [Proficiency Skills:]

1. [Sword Art] - [E] - Basic proficiency in swordsmanship.

2. [Martial Arts] - [D] - Proficiency in various martial arts techniques.

3. [Mana Detection] - [G] - A moderate proficiency in sensing the presence and flow of mana in their surroundings. (New)

4. [Mana Manipulation] - [G] - the ability to manipulate your necrotic mana to a certain extent. (New)

5. [Necrotic Cross] - [G] - Culmination of combining necrotic mana with sword proficiency. (New)"

After reviewing his newfound skills and proficiency levels, Lucas couldn't help but feel intrigued by his Mana Detection skill.

He mused to himself, "This mana-related ability might prove quite useful, especially now that it's become a world with magic."

With Ella sound asleep, he thought, "I should take this opportunity to practice and improve my proficiency in this skill."

Sitting cross-legged on the floor, he cleared his mind and focused on the new skill, Lucas concentrated, trying to sense the presence of mana in the room.

He extended his senses, telling himself, "I should start by feeling the tingle I experienced when I first used it in the battle."

After a few moments of deep concentration, he began to perceive a faint tingle in the tips of his fingers, as if tiny particles were lightly brushing against his skin.

Lucas's focus intensified as he delved deeper into the sensation. The room around him seemed to blur as he honed in on the subtle currents of mana.

He continued to concentrate, trying to expand his awareness beyond his fingertips. The tingle that had started there began to spread, as though a gentle breeze carried it further through the room.

In deep concentration, Lucas muttered, "So, this is what mana feels like." It was akin to sensing the ebb and flow of mana, like waves in the air.

[Mana Detection (G) -> Mana Detection (F)]

With delving deeper into his practice, he received the system message but ignored it, as His proficiency in Mana Detection was growing at an impressive pace.

Lucas could now distinguish different sources of mana, and he thought to himself, "There seem to be different kinds of mana. Some of it is warm and near me, likely from Ella, while the mana from my undead in the room feels more colder, almost sterile."

[Mana Detection (F) -> Mana Detection (E)]

His proficiency in Mana Detection continued to rise, and he made further progress.

With his eyes closed Lucas muttered to himself, "It seems I can't sense mana for much farther than me for now. I should stop here."

He took a deep breath and opened his eyes, only to find Ella awake and watching him.

Lucas was a bit surprised and asked, "Huh, you woke up? Did I wake you?"

Ella shook her head and replied, "No, I woke up a few minutes ago and saw you in concentration. I didn't want to disturb you."

Lucas, still slightly dazed from his deep focus, glanced at the clock on the wall and remarked, "Huh, I was doing this for four hours? I didn't even notice."

He then gently ran his hand over his ribs and observed, "It seems that concentrating has accelerated the speed of my regeneration. My broken ribs have already healed, and I feel much more refreshed."

Ella smiled at his revelation. "See? It seems like your practice was quite beneficial. It's amazing what you can achieve with these newfound skills."

Lucas nodded, acknowledging the progress he had made with Mana Detection. "Indeed, I'm beginning to grasp the potential of these skills. But enough about me. How are you feeling?"

Ella smiled at Lucas's question and replied, "I'm feeling much better after some rest. And, I also used the forge realm to create something special for you, take a look."

She went inside her realm and came out with a finely crafted katana in her hand.

She handed the katana to Lucas, saying, "It's made from the werewolf's ribs. I know it's only a Gold tier weapon for now, as my skill level is still low, but it should serve you well as you were using rebar until now."

Lucas accepted the katana, examining its intricate design and the black sheath adorned with a sword tassel made from the white fur of the werewolf hanging on its hilt.

With a sound of 'click', he took the sword out of its sheath, the blade was white like marble with blood-red stripes and dots in places, as he saw the blade the system showed its info.

[Equipment Type: Weapon]

[Sword - Gold tier]

[Name: Simhyeol Hwando]1

[Description: A sword made from the bones of a creature of a fearsome bloodline, retaining some of its blood, allowing it to self-repair minor damages. The sword's tier has been lowered due to the maker's skill level.]

[Attributes:

+12 damage while attacking with the sword.

+10 agility while wielding the sword.]

[Skills:

Self-Repair (B): The 'Simhyeol Hwando' possesses a remarkable self-repair ability, allowing it to mend minor damages automatically.

Bloodburn (A): The seeping of blood from the mutated werewolf allowed it to inherit some features of its bloodline skill, "Eclipse." The user needs to spill their blood onto the blade igniting it to gain temporary physical boosts in strength, agility, and endurance. (Note: Using the Bloodburn skill lowers the hp of the user by 2 per 20 seconds.) ]

Lucas examined the finely crafted katana, his fingers lightly tracing its unique blade.

With a pleased smile, he looked up at Ella and said, "It's amazing, Ella. Thank you. I can see the effort and care you put into crafting this blade."

Ella's eyes sparkled with pride at her brother's words. "Well, I am your little sister, after all. I should at least be able to do this."

She chuckled and added, "And some butchering skills I learned from Mom, came in handy."

Lucas couldn't help but feel a surge of warmth and gratitude toward his sister and her efforts.

He affectionately patted her on the head and said, "You're doing great, Ella. I'm proud of you."

He then turned his attention to the katana again and nodded as he continued, "As for the skill Bloodburn, it sounds powerful, but I'll need to use it sparingly. That HP decrease over time can be risky, so we'll save it for critical moments."

Lucas placed the katana beside him and stood up, his determination renewed. "Now that we have a good weapon, it's time for us to start leveling up. We need to get stronger, and we need to do it fast."
