1 Rise of the Unique Class

The school bell rang, and with that familiar "Tun Tun," the students hurriedly gathered their things, eager to leave their classrooms.

In the bustling hallway, you could hear the steady "thud thud" of footsteps. Conversations buzzed around. One student complained, "Today's class was tough; I couldn't understand a thing the math teacher said." Another suggested, "Let's go to the arcade, guys; we need a break!"

The student leading the way playfully slapped a daydreaming classmate by the window looking toward the sky, saying, "Hey, snap out of it! Give us some cash for the arcade."

The daydreamer, tall with black hair and monolid brown eyes, was pulled from his daze, staring at the bully.

In the midst of this tense situation, Lucas found himself cornered by the bully. The bully grabbed his collar, threateningly showing a clenched fist. "Hey, Lucas," he sneered, "give me the money, or you won't know how to walk back to your house."

Lucas felt a surge of anger welling up within him, but he remembered the promise he had made to his mother.

He recalled a past incident when he had hurt someone badly, and they had ended up in the hospital for three years with fractured bones.

Lucas whispered to himself, "I want to punch him so bad, but my position isn't good. Mother made me swear I'd never fight or hurt anyone again."

Suddenly, the bully forcefully threw Lucas against the classroom board, causing him to wince in pain. The bully continued to taunt him, "I know you have money, you retard. Your stupid mother gives you an allowance every day. Now, give it!"

Lucas realized that today was not the day to pick a fight. He reached into his bag and took out a 10,000 won note. He reluctantly handed it over, saying, "Here, that's all I have. Take it."

The bully smirked and swiftly took the money. "You should have given it to me sooner," he taunted. "Then, you wouldn't have had to endure a beating. Let's go now."

As they were leaving, a sudden thunderous sound erupted from the sky, as if the heavens were tearing apart. A mechanical voice boomed from above, proclaiming, "Your world, serial No. 0x2233n45, has been sold by the god of your world to the highest outer god bidder."

Panic swept through the students, their voices raised in confusion. "What's happening? What was that voice?" they cried out.

Lucas, still in disbelief, gazed outside the window. Before him, the very atmosphere seemed to rupture, and he could see the eyes of someone or something peering through. He muttered in shock, "What the heck is happening?"

As the shock and confusion continued to grip everyone, the mysterious voice from before spoke once more, its words echoing through the sky. "The New owner of your world has decided that your world will be merged with his other world, creating a new world."

A countdown screen, bathed in a deep blue hue, materialized in the sky, and the mechanical voice continued, "The merging of worlds will commence in 30 minutes. New species will be introduced, and existing ones will evolve."

The countdown timer displayed 30 minutes, and every passing second seemed to weigh heavier on the spectators. In a desperate attempt to intervene, the government dispatched jets to the location of the countdown screen, but they simply passed through it as if it were a holographic projection.

Suddenly, the mechanical voice announced, "A mana surge will initiate the evolution of species and allocate random classes to sentient primitive species, namely 'humans.' Skills will be assigned according to their classes."

In response, a mysterious blue screen appeared in front of every person on Earth. The bully, with an oddly amused expression, remarked, "Ho ho, this feels like one of those world-ending novels."

Lucas, still trying to come to terms with the surreal situation, examined the strange blue screen in front of him. He muttered to himself, "It looks like I'm not hallucinating. It seems real, and I can even pass my hand through it if I don't want to touch it."

The world as they knew it was on the brink of a profound and inexplicable transformation, and there was no turning back.

The mechanical voice continued its eerie presence, now directly in the minds of everyone, stating, "The system initiation has been completed. Class cards are being distributed."

Without warning, identical cards with the same color and design on both sides emerged from the hovering blue screens in front of each person. As the individuals stared at the cards in wonder, the mechanical voice in their minds instructed, "Choose a class card to obtain your class."

The world had been thrust into an unimaginable reality, where decisions made in the next few moments would shape their destinies in ways they could hardly fathom.

In a world on the brink of merging and evolution, the fate of each individual rested in their choice of class.

Amidst the rising panic, people began frantically selecting their class cards, many of them doing so without much thought. Voices filled the air, with some individuals exclaiming, "Hey, does anyone here play games, I got 'Swordsman' class is it good?" "Can anyone tell me, if 'Archer' is a good class?"

Meanwhile, the bully, in a moment of desperation, clasped his hands together and muttered, "Oh, heavens, let me choose a good card. Wait, our god has sold us, so where should I pray? Well, whatever, let's choose one."

As the bully selected his card, it disappeared into his body, and a sudden excitement overtook him. "Haha! Luck is really on my side. I've become a pyromancer!" he proclaimed with glee.

Lucas, observing this chaotic scene, carefully considered his options before making his decision. But just as he was about to choose, a blood-curdling scream echoed from the corridor.

A girl cried out, "Ahhhh! My chibi, what's happening to you?" Her pet chihuahua, right before her eyes, began to undergo a grotesque transformation with sounds of bones cracking and reforming, growing into a massive three-meter wolf and attacking its owner.

Chaos erupted as students outside fled in terror, and those inside locked themselves in their classrooms.

In the midst of this horrific scene, someone accidentally bumped into Lucas, causing him to reflexively select a card in front of him.

To his surprise, the mechanical voice in his mind spoke once more, "Congratulations on being the first to obtain the unique class, Necromancer. This unique class is now locked as the property of Lucas Kimura until his death. You can access the system by saying or thinking 'status'."

Lucas was left in awe, as a unique class was granted to him amidst the chaos and panic that had engulfed the world.

As the mechanical voice said it to him, Lucas obediently uttered the word "status," the mechanical voice responded, and the blue screen before him displayed the message, "Individual system initiating, opening the status screen."

In an instant, the once-blank blue screen transformed into a detailed interface filled with various elements and a full-body image.

Lucas found himself staring at a wealth of information and statistics, each element on the screen providing insights into his newfound class as a Necromancer. eager to see his abilities.
