Necromancer, new branch - I can enslave the living!

Follow Bardeelus' journey as he discovers the wonders of 'pure necromancy', one of the rarest types of magic out there. Some despise it, while some adore it, but ultimately, he was free or any demonic influences and was as pure as a mage could be! Though, training was a different story. lt wasn't easy to uncover the secrets of pure necromancy, as those secrets were locked in the 'old world' of magic. Ancient and cryptic languages were a must know, if any progress was to be made, and the tag-along dangers were ten times worse! Bardeelus' goals were greater than any threat, however, as he wanted to enslave the living, without killing them. Although this was almost unheard of across the dark arts of magic, it was possible! ~ For the sake of power, he'll find a way to do it. Besides... a greater threat awaited them, the clock was ticking. He had to be ready! ~

The demon empress' curse

In her own perception, Audera saw this orb/ball as a bad and potentially evil disrupter. When she noticed that her sense of 'time' was slipping away, she solely blamed the orb, and thought that it was messing with her head.

"I'm barely giving it any mana, how could it even be messing with me?" She thought.

A part of herself urged her to toss this orb into the ocean, but she had to resist. This was an expensive gift, and couldn't be disregarded as any lesser. She didn't want to disappoint the captain either, because he had been nothing but hospitable and helpful so far!

For that matter, she thought. "Gonna keep it for a week, or maybe less? Then I'll toss it in the forest, as soon as we start hiking."

This was the only idea she could think of, which would help her avoid any drama, and she was all up for this alternative. However, she didn't want to stand near this orb either, all for inner-peace's sake. This had a short and effective solution!
