"The Chilly Winter Night"

In the kingdom of Azora, where magic and science coexisted in a precarious equilibrium, it was a chilly winter night. A little dusting of snow had earlier in the day fallen on the coastal city of Parslov, which was being hit by the North Sea monsoon. The blood-coloured moon hanging in the sky gave the snow a subtle reddish tint, adding to the ominous mood of the night.

The flashing gas lights of downtown PARSLOV could be seen in the distance. Unexpectedly, a rickety black carriage rushed through the darkness as though being followed by something invisible.

The entire carriage was filled with the smell of cow faeces. An hour earlier, Norman, who was lying flat in the carriage, had gone through a process known as a "crossing," in which he had come to terms with the fragmented memories of the person whose body he was now inhabiting. However, he had been murdered just as he was adjusting to his new life. The unexpected sequence of events left him perplexed as to how he managed to survive while being hurt.

"I... why am I still alive?" His voice was shaky and gruff as he asked out loud. As the carriage moves further, Norman is still in disbelief and uncertainty. He overhears a discussion between two men—a man in black and the young man operating the carriage—about a summoning pattern. Norman is unable to speak or move, and he fears that he will soon pass away.

After a short distance, the carriage stops at a bleak and dismal mass burial. Norman is taken from the carriage by the two guys in black, who then toss his body onto the top of a little mound by the side of the road. Norman is left alone in the chilly night as they depart without burying him.

The mystery and excitement of the plot are increased by this latest revelation. The reason these men killed the owner of the body and the summoning pattern are unknown, but they have done this previously and are familiar with the mass grave. The situation for Norman is severe, and it is unclear how he will get out or get aid. Norman is left on the chilly ground alone when the men in black leave. He starts to experience a feeling of coldness and darkness and understands that he has a very weak energy inside of him. He starts to remember more of his past as a result of this energy's connection to his memories.

The owner of this body, Alex, was an impoverished nobleman working as a trainee housekeeper for the Goldert family in Parslov while residing in a relative's home. Nineteen years old, he discreetly studied undead magic and joined a perilous covert religious group in the hopes of reviving his family's business. But things did not turn out as expected. Young Henry, who introduced him, misinterpreted the significance of his involvement and sacrificed him during a ritual to call an evil god. Alex died in vain since the ceremony was a failure.

Alex's summoning did not fully fail, though. Norman's consciousness was restored, but the wicked deity was not called. The cries of wolves in the distance serve as a terrifying reminder of the danger lying in the night as the icy winter air slices through the atmosphere like a cutting blade. lying still on the cold surface. Now, Norman, as Alex tries to make sense of the circumstances that have brought him to this point, he is overcome with uncertainty and anxiety.

Just hours earlier, he had been violently murdered and left for dead in a secluded grave, yet now he finds himself inexplicably alive and experiencing strange changes within his own body. The wound on his chest that had been inflicted by a blade has miraculously healed, and he can feel the presence of his limbs once again, although they remain stiff and difficult to move.

As he gradually regains his strength and begins to explore his surroundings, Alex is struck by the bizarre nature of this world in which he finds himself. With druids lurking in plain sight among the populace and magicians with lethal abilities, magic and science coexist in a way that defies sense. Even the knights, who were once representations of chivalry and honour, have given up on using their conventional weapons in favour of magic-infused rifles.

But it is the memory of his own past that truly shocks Alex to the core. He realizes that he had dabbled in the forbidden art of undead magic, and that the damaged magic item he had obtained from a necromancer may have played a role in his unusual resurrection. He was lucky. He did not kill himself. Instead, he inhaled the remaining spiritual energy of the magic item and stored it in his heart. If there is an official necromancer at this time, with this little psionic energy, you can build a magic circle and become a junior necromancer apprentice.

Unfortunately, Alex did not have such a chance. At this time, due to the damage to his heart, his magic power overflowed, causing his body to become alienated. Instead of dying, there was a sign of lich transformation. But his soul had already been sacrificed in the summoning ceremony, allowing Norman to take advantage of it and be reborn into this world.

Norman, now Alex figured out the cause and effect, and he settled on what happened, and he was no longer entangled in his heart. Could it be that he is now transforming into a lich, a dreaded undead creature?

As the mysteries deepen and the danger mounts, Alex is faced with the daunting task of uncovering the truth and finding a way to stop the transformation before it

He couldn't help but think back on the strange set of circumstances that had brought him to this point as he made his way down the mound and started slogging through the snow. He had always been entranced by the forbidden art of undead magic, and despite having no formal training or direction, he had stupidly experimented with its potentially lethal techniques. And now, as a result of his careless deeds, his body had been changed into something hideous, and his soul had been offered as a sacrifice during a summoning ritual.

Nevertheless, Alex was adamant about continuing. He was not going to squander his second opportunity at life. He had always wanted to succeed, and he was more determined than ever to do so now.

He set his sights on PARSLOV City, wanting to start again in the thriving metropolis. He knew it would be difficult as he trekked through the wilderness's blanket of snow. However, he was committed to succeeding no matter what it took. He thus started off towards the city that never sleeps with a furious purpose in his heart, prepared to face whatever difficulties that lied ahead.

"From the darkness of night, the secrets of Azora unfold. The black carriage of death rolls on, carrying Norman to an uncertain fate."
