Chapter5: First Day Part IV

There is nothing I can do, nothing I can say, all this practice could be completely spoiled if I just had a day on the examination day. But even so, I think it's not that difficult to do this kind of stuff.

Now back to the problem, here the shard is inside this waterfall and climbing this wet rock with water inside is definitely a suicide.

So here is the plan, firstly I would block the water going downstream with help of boulders, then freeze the boulder with water creating a sort of temporary dam.

Then I will repeat this same process for the water upstream. Since the waterfall is not high I think I can certainly find a path to go upwards.

Then I will freeze the whole waterfall and use all the energy I have will smash the frozen water with the sword aura, and claim that shard.

I think it would be better to freeze the upper part first as it would help me do the downstream part and also I want to do the hardest part first. Now I have to find a way to climb upwards.

I carefully put my foot on the rock while balancing my way by holding the nearby roots of the trees that were hanging out of the cliff, the rocks were slippery and it was impossible to stand on them without holding some kind of support.

Slowly, I walk upwards the cliff trying to hold my roots as I could. I could feel my beating hastily.

As I go upward things down seems to become smaller and smaller while fear grows bigger and bigger. Sometimes if some small stones fall it felt like my whole world was crashing down.

I don't know but I don't even feel safe holding the roots. I think that any venomous snake and insect could come down those roots and inject its vile fluid. This climbing came to a halt when I could see the distance between me and the upper surface was very little.

But it was the worst as there were no roots and I have to get off my wild security gear to get there

I stood there for a while thinking about what could I possibly do. Then I saw a tree beside me. It was a long hard tree with branches that seem strong that it can withstand my weight. But even the nearest branch was not near enough that I could hold it in my reach.

To do so I have to somehow create enough normal reaction through my boots that it would near enough the branch that my leg could grab it.

Ok, now one, two, three...

Oh, My God, I am in the air. I am gonna die, gonna die. Oh my God.

I am just barely hanging with the help of only a few thin roots. It's. It's. Insanity.

No calm down,

I can't be worried over this.

If I panic my death would be much cruel

And I don't have time to think.

I shook my body in the that would just enough momentum that I could just go towards the rock and grab some other roots.

As soon as reached the rock I quickly grabbed some other roots. And as I hit the rock, I used all my energy to hit it with my boots and was forward to to the.

Using my legs like a fishing hook grabbed the branch and coiled it around. Slowly I release those branches and further tighten my grip over the tree. With the help of the branch reached the top. I lie down on the ground. This is what it feels like to come out of the mouth of death. I placed stones in the middle of the stream blocking the water and with my ice magic, I froze it and thus blocking the flow of water.

Going down I used another route where the roots of a large tree( hanging on the cliff) were much longer as it would go directly from the cliff to the forest floor.

I reached the forest floor with a little bit more ease. Since half of the work was done by gravity and I just have to make a solid grip on the roots. On reaching down I quickly make I froze the rest of the waterfall. Doing this whole freeze the water process seemed like a forbidden nightmare.

I stood at the front of the frozen waterfall.

I draw out my sword, channelling my whole aura and soul root through the spine of the blade, and I'm using all my force I strike that column of ice. As the sword crashed into that column it decimated to smaller ice crystals of various. When sunlight was passing through those crystals in the air it seems like rainbow coloured gems were falling through.

It felt like all the hard come to payoff in this grand moment of this heavenly spectacle.

I could see the shard now with my bare eyes. It was not that high above as it seems to be before. I climbed the rock using my hands and feet. As reached the shard I with one of my hands threw it on the ground.

I climbed down and recovered the shard.
