Reincarnation.

It is a cliche in fantasy novels where the protagonist gets run over by a truck and reincarnated into another world

But fantasy novels are just made-up stories, that don't come to pass in real life Therefore, reincarnation is a myth.

'I'm sure, it's just a dream and I will wake up in a hospital bed or being run over by a truck was a dream.'

I lay down on the ground while seeing the night sky full of stars and a huge moon, it was so beautiful for it to be just a dream!

I closed my eyes believing that when I woke up, all of this would end up being just a dream.

But when I opened my eyes once again, all I saw was a night sky and a forest then I realized that all of this was true and not just a dream.

'What am I going to do now'?

I think that sitting around will not help me so once again I start walking towards the water stream and as I walk the sun begins to rise.

After arriving near the water stream I checked my face in it under the bright morning sun, what reflected in front of me was a young boy's no, my face but it looked so dirty like I had not taken a bath in years.

"But still l do look handsome."

The colour of my skin was olive like the skin colour of Europeans.

"Oh well, nothing can be done by just worrying about things"

So I stood up and started exploring the forest, for now, my top priority is to find some food for my survival.

'Because my body needs something to consume.'

Then gathering information about my location and whether there is a way to return or not, and if there is a way to go back then I'll return to Japan, if not then I have no other choice but to live here.

For now, these two things are my main goals.

I thought that the trees in the forest were giant but instead, they looked big because I was now in a child's body.

"Anyway, there is nothing in this forest to eat."

There is nothing in this forest, all the trees are unproductive they don't have any kind of fruit or nuts on them.

The only thing I found in the forest was the grass that I had in my mouth when I woke up.

for now, I think I'll have to keep my appetite under control.

Maybe it seems my method of searching is wrong.

In the first place, I do not have any knowledge about wild vegetation which makes searching for food difficult.

And it becomes more difficult if this place is another world and I highly doubt that the plants growing in this forest are similar to Earth's vegetation.

As I was thinking about that I saw a beetle in front of me.

Although it's thanks to the centipede that l had eaten during the last night that I got back some energy my body is malnourished.

And because of that if I push myself over a limit today then I may not be able to move tomorrow.

And assuming from the heat I'm feeling appears to be the summer season presently.

So leaving this place in search of food is a mistake

"That leaves me with no choice but to eat insects."

at least for now, I should learn how to start a fire, so that I can grill insects and boil water.

That being said, how in the hell do I start a fire without any tools?

Okay let's calm down and think again, on second thought

If I remember a spark can be ignited by rubbing two stones.

But as I was searching for stones, I heard a voice call me out from behind.

"Oi kid, you over there this is my territory so leave this area at once."

The voice seemed majesty and from its tone l was certain it belonged to a human person.

Finally, I can ask for help from someone.

"I'm lost sir can you help me "

When I looked back, all l saw was a monster with a hawk-like head and lion-like lower body in addition it had huge wings.

In other words, It was a Griffin a mythical creature.

It seems god has forsaken me, first getting reincarnated into an unknown place and then meeting a gryphon.

"Umm, I don't taste good! and I'm any muscle on me. So it's better if you don't eat me"

While saying that I started To back off.

"Kid do you think l eat trash, just looking at you makes me puke"

"Ahahahaha is that so then l am leaving Goodbye~"

After saying that I began to run at full speed. It seems to me that the gryphon doesn't want to eat me and just wants me to leave his territory. Then I might be able to escape. Since I didn't intend to invade his territory.

And as l was running, I heard a noise of flapping wings.

When l decided to stop and look back, and started flying everywhere and some of it got into my eyes so l reflexively closed them.

When I opened my eyes, what I saw was a Griffon again right in front of me.

Furthermore, it looked angry.

"Are you trying to insult me by running away without my permission, this whole forest territory and a person cannot enter or leave without my permission"

"I'm sorry, your grace I didn't know that this forest is your territory "

"Don't lie to me kid, The pledge between me and humans was made 200 years ago that this whole forest is my territory and no human will ever enter it without my permission! Even kids know it"*

Even if you say that, how the fuck l am supposed to know this in the first place I am not from this world.

If l didn't tell the truth this guy is going to kill me.

"That... I am from another world."

"Well, you see, when I woke up l found myself in this forest as a kid and I swear this is the truth."

I knelt on the ground and started begging as I didn't want to die after getting reincarnated.

It seems my kneeling and begging worked because I can feel Griffon's killing disappearing.

"Boy so are a Lost Person? I see. Then it is no wonder you don't know that this is my territory."

"I am sorry kid, I didn't know that you were a lost person. it must've hard living in an unknown place away from your home, without a way to go back."

I didn't quite understand what a lost person meant so I decided to ask him.

"people from another world coming over to this world are called lost persons."

The Griffon seems puzzled as it doesn't understand what reincarnation means.

So I explained to him, what had happened to me.

The Griffon groaned.

"Hmm, l have never heard about such a phenomenon. The last Lost Person that l met was around a hundred years ago and he didn't say anything about getting reborn."

"Can you explain more about it?"

"Sorry kid, to begin with, I have very little information about the people called Lost Persons."

I think will have to investigate it in the future.

"By the way kid, didn't you say earlier that you were an adult in your previous life?"

"Yeah, what about it?"

The griffon grinned at my answer and It was really visible.
