3 Our little secret

"Nyx," a woman called to her little girl who ran around in the flower field chasing butterflies. She would stop once in a while and pick a flower that caught her eye. "Don't run too fast or you'll fall," the woman said again. She sat picking up sunflower seeds and allowed her daughter to play around.

"I know Mother, I am careful. I won't fall," the named Nyx said but she did not stop running and chasing the butterflies around and slowly drifting away from her mother's sight. Her long dark hair danced with the wind as she ran. She stopped chasing after the butterflies and turned to her right, she felt there was something there that she needed to see. 

Nyx slowly reduced her pace and came to a stop when she spotted a man dressed in all black standing with his back to her and his head tilted upwards staring at the sky. Nyx looked up at the setting sun which cast a beautiful orange hue and smiled.
