I was walking down the hallway with the maid, who looked like a eizbern homunculus which are pretty common for some high ranking mage families, moving on we got to the dining room where my new mother was sitting at the head of the table.

She had white hair that goes down to her lower back with Violet eyes, plump bosom a round ass and curves that would have any man drooling over her.

' She kinda looks like Brynhildr a bit'. I thought, then sat to the chair on her right, she was was staring at me for some reason and I probably know why, I said " good morning mother I wasn't expecting you to be back so soon.

"You seem different somehow but I can't put my finger on it". She said,

The Aristocratic believe the management of the Clocktower should be handed to those nobility who had proven to have excellent bloodlines. The Democratic believe the opposite, that bloodline should be discarded and those with talent should be in charge, and because of that they often get into conflict, the Neutralist don't really care one way or another and just want to do their research in peace.

' just sounds like politics to me, and I don't want to get involved with that kind of crap got too much on my plate already with being you know who's blood I have in me'.

Now, after that, she didn't say anything else and we just ate, and I when we were finished eating, and she got up and left probably to her office.

And it was probably just a one night stand, I should stop thinking about it, and let's get back to the present a lot of things went on and that year like example my origin and element were both rune they were exactly the same, kind of like Shirou Emiya and just like him I'm kind of limited what I can do. For example, I can't do any other magecraft besides runes and the basic ones like reinforcement, projection, analysis, and bounded fields.

But I'm so proficient with runes that there almost on the level of true magic, just a step away from the primordial runes, and that made my mother really happy, and speaking about her. There was a huge crisis at the mage association, I don't know all the details, but what happened was that vice Director of the Clocktower.

Lorelei Barthomeloi is dead, yeah I know right the chick that hunts dead apostles for fun and killed two of the dead apostle ancestors was killed by a dead apostle.

It was not an ordinary dead apostle but the first ranked of the dead apostle ancestors, yep you heard right , it goes by many names, the White Beast, Monster of Gaia, Beast of Comparison,Altrouge's Demonic Dog, one of the seven beasts of humanity, known as Primate Murder.

No wonder she's dead. You need something on the level of a grand to face off against that thing, and no one really knows the reason why this happened, what we know is she was taking her platoon to France to kill some dead apostles and ran into the white beast.

There was only one survivor, and he barely lived long enough to give brief information before he died, he said that they were tracking a dead apostle in the outskirts of Paris and ran into Altrouge Brunestud and primate murder and that is all he could say before death took him.

Something sounds fishy about that, you just don't run into one of the strongest beings on the planet just on a whim, and it doesn't make sense what does altrouge gain from killing her.

Lorelei wasn't that much of a threat to her, only to the weaker dead apostle ancestors, now isn't the time to think about it, there was a lot of chaos after her death especially to the aristocratic faction.

Because of her death, they lost a quite a bit of power. Lorelei was the leader of the aristocratic faction, the Vice Director of the Clocktower, and one of the two only wizard Marshalls along side the master of the second magic Zelretch.

But the biggest blow was to the Barthomeloi, it wasn't just her death that caused them to go down, but the lost of their magic crest.

A magic crest is a magi's family most important treasure to their lineage, I'm not gonna get to too much detail into it, but it stores all the knowledge and spells of their family from the previous generations, they tried to get the crest from the mangled remains of Lorelei but it wasn't there, probably in the stomach of primate murder, unless they try to pry it out of his stomach, which I don't see that happening.

Now the most important thing is who was going to take the position of vice Director, the most likely candidate was my mother but the Aristocratic faction didn't want that to happen. They already took a big blow, and they didn't want the Democratic faction to gain any more power.

Claiming that only a wizard Marshall can take the position, just bullshit mother could've already been a wizard Marshall if it wasn't for the Barthomeloi keeping her down, her power already surpassed the previous Vice Director, and everyone knew it.

But to the one to have the final say was the Director of the Clocktower, one of the founding members of the mage's association and founder and acting Director of the Clocktower branch, serving for over 2000 years, he is the founder and lord of the clock tower's Department of Lore, and personally overseeing it, and one of disciples of Solomon and old time friends with Zelretch.

And one of the only people alive today that experienced the invasion of the demon king Mundus. Because of that mother became the new vice Director of the Clocktower and Wizard Marshall.

"Well that's good for me because of that mother is barely around anymore having so much responsibility being the vice Director". I said.

Because around that time my demonic powers awakened, demonic power is what demons possess they can do all kinds of things with it like create elements such as fire, ice, lightning and the higher tier demons, and such as the mid and high ranked demons can regenerate from something like major wounds that would kill a normal person to completely regenerating body parts and their entire body's such as us Nero when his devil trigger was awakening regrow is missing arm and Mundus when Dante destroyed his body. In devi may cry 1.

You could also use demonic power to strengthen objects or yourself, prime example of this is when Dante puts demonic power in his trusty guns Eborny and Ivory to increase their power.

I tested my regenerative abilities by taking a dagger and shoving it through my dick, 'just kidding I did it through my hand, who in their right mind would do that'. I thought, moving on to my surprise, it regenerated in a instant like the wound wasn't even there a second ago it didn't even leave a scar.

I thought about taking a sword or spear and ramming it through my chest and I was crazy enough to do that and caused a lot of blood to pool all over the carpet in my room didn't think that one through. But Just like my hand the wound disappeared like it wasn't even there, but it hurt like a son of a bitch though.

Well, that was what mainly happened this year and I'm pretty sure I'm going to be thrown into some crazy shit in the near future.
