A fake engagement, and the clans had stopped bothering Mito trying to marry me off to them, but this incident revealed something uncomfortable. Tsunade liked me... and this was hard for me to process, so I simply decided to act as if it didn't happen.

As I rambled on about what had happened, and how I had reacted a monkey came to my window, with a scroll. "The Hokage is calling for you," the monkey yawned, handing me the scroll.

Staring at the scroll for a brief second, I nodded. "I'll be right there,"

Inside Hiruzen's office I took a seat, while Hiruzen figured out how to tell me what he had summoned me to tell me. Apparently whatever it was, it was complicated for him to explain. "Ok... here I go," Hiruzen sighed, finally deciding to start talking, "The Feudal lord, he needs you."

That didn't explain much, "For?" I asked.

"Well... he wants you for his personal guard," Hiruzen sighed, as he took a seat. "The twelve guardian ninja."

"And that's bad?" I asked in my ignorance. I knew the Feudal Lord was important, like the King of our country, while the Hokage was like the president, each of them had a role to fulfill… but even then, I didn't understand why was being part of the twelve ninja guardians bad, if anything it would be beneficial for my reputation.

"Well.. yes, but no…" Hiruzen sighed, "You will be out of the village for a few years… the post has a minimum requirement of five years…"

Oh, well… Now that was bad. "And I suppose I don't have a say in it, right?"

"You do… but… saying no, coulddd possibly make him mad, and that could possibly affect some of our budgets," Hiruzen sighed, once again.

"Fine, I suppose… I will accept," I sighed, wondering how would I break this up to Tsunade.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

As expected, Tsunade didn't like the news at all, in fact, she tried to punch me the moment I told her, fortunately for me, I had something to calm her down, a big double cheese pizza. "Better?"

"A bit," Tsunade glared, like a cat hoarding her pizza.

"Look, it was that or risking the budget of the village, which right now thanks to the scars the war left, is heavily dependent on that guy," I sighed.

"I know," Tsunade sighed, "But I don't have to like it."

"I can write you," I offered.

"A letter a week, and I forgive you," Tsunade hummed, seemingly deep in thought.

"Fine," I chuckled, ruffling her hair.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The next day, I realized something. The promise I had made to Tsunade, was one I couldn't keep, while it was true I summons, none of them would be able to travel such long distances so often, meaning I needed a new summon, for the purpose of this mission, which is why after having a balanced breakfast I went to talk with Hiruzen about my conundrum.

Hiruzen, eager to help, gave me a scroll from a particular summon, one that hadn't been used in a while according to him. The Raven summons contract, the instructions were simple enough, a bit of blood, a bit of chakra, and hope for the best, after all the summons had the right to reject the contract.

Following the instructions, I called out, "Summoning Technique: Ravens!" Soon after I performed the technique a small explosion of smoke that seemed to come from the scroll covered a small radius around the scroll revealing a small raven, with a single eye and an eye patch in the other looking at me. For some reason, he was also wearing a small leather trench coat.

"So… hi?" I waved.

"This is motherfuckering great… a prepubescent chick," The Raven cawed, or talked, or.. This was confusing.

"The pleasure is all mine," I snorted.

"Are you mothefucker… sassing me?" The raven cawed, glaring at me with his only eye.

"I am," I chuckled.

"Ha, I like you," The Raven chuckled.

"So now what?" I asked.

"Now," The raven began, pulling a scroll out of nowhere, "You sign here, and here, and here, and we are done…"

Doing just that, I asked, "So… I can now summon you guys no problems?"

"Yes, but don't you fucking dare summoning me on a Sunday," The Raven cawed, "Also… please start adding corn to your shopping list, lots of it," corn, neat.

"Ok," I nodded with a chuckle, "What's your name?"

"Nick Ravenincus," with that said, he disappeared with a poof of smoke.

[Tsunade Senju POV]

Raiden was once again leaving, and it made me sad… he had just gotten out of the war, and the stupid Fire Lord requests for him to be part of his guard, at least this was a low-risk job, and I would see him in a few years.

"Don't be sad my little sapling," Mito smiled, giving me a kiss. "That kid is hard to kill, I doubt anyone will target him…"

"I'm not worried about that," I rolled my eyes, "I am worried our friendship will strain over time with the distance." I was afraid that with time, we would grow distant, he was my friend, and I wanted that to stay like that.

"I doubt it," Grandma assured me, "Now… go, and have fun with him before he leaves the village, you will have plenty of time to sulk in later once he leaves,"

"I don't sulk!" I pouted, how dare she say I sulk, I don't sulk… a lot.

"Sure you don't" Grandma winked, pushing me out of the house with a broom. "Now go and have fun!" she ordered.

"Yes!" I giggled running out of the house.

[????? POV]

Senju Raiden, he was an anomaly that I quite didn't fully understand, and I didn't like it. Now the question was, was he a threat to my plans? Or another pawn for me to move around as I pleased, time and some little experimentation would tell, in the meantime I would keep watching him, learning everything I can about him from the shadows.
